I definitely prefer mcfarlanes take on it and actually killer croc size changes randomly he’s 8 to 12 feet but no accurate measurements for him in Arkham series
I feel like he's biased towards specific artists that he's worked with for interpretations of characters. Like Clayface is really ugly and doesn't look like any of the popular designs but its Greg Capullo's design so he went with it. The new Mr Freeze also has Capullo's art on the box although the figure doesn't look anything like it though.
Been waiting for this forever and it didn't disappoint. For some reason I always like the old DC Collectibles figure and wasn't sure that even a repaint could justify the head sculpt. However, the end result did better service to the McFarlane figure.
Body is great pianted. I dont love specially the head of the new figure but I like less the you used. that isnt a croc. That head dont look a croc. it look a monster simply. The best Croc head i think is the DC Direct one who come with straight trousers like a capo. Do you know what is?
It’s not. Play the Game Over screens from the game and you’ll notice that McFarlane’s cheeks are sunken in, the forehead scales are the wrong shape, the nose is wrong, and the jaw isn’t nearly as wide as in the game. I thought the McFarlane figure was more accurate too at first but aside from looking “generally cooler” it’s really not.
My biggest issue with the McFarlane DC Multiverse figures has to be the shoddy paint work, like the base figures are mostly pretty good but the lack of paint details make them look so boring. Glad someone’s doing them justice. 🤘🏻💀🤘🏻
I did the same, minus the headswap. Also painted the gauntlets like the DCD version and added more chains. Not a lot of work and it looks excellent now.
Hey my man huge fan and watched the review when you first dropped. Pretty random but if there’s any way you are willing to let me buy your custom Arkham killer croc off you PLEASE LMK!!! Much love and keep up the work. Love the reviews!!
Apex is a line that is horrendously annoying to collect cause for some reason you can't usually preorder just one of the figures in a wave of 3, and 2 of them are already made characters usually. As much as I'd like to have all of the legends I'm not paying $75 for one character while the figure is also *really* poorly designed cause Jakks doesn't know how to do articulation or bendable materials apparently.
is it seriously not possible for them to just rip the models from the game and transfter them to use them as direct models for the figuers? Just seems so obvious.
Probably just companies not wanting to share the models. Also taking game models and trying to slice them up for action figure articulation is probably lots more work than just recreating it from references with articulation in mind.
I've heard its happened in the past. The Mattel Arkham City figures were apparently made like that which explains their *really good* albeit tad soft head sculpts.

I’m going to post my video in a few minutes
Nice job. I think McFarlane tends to evoke a character's look with his sculpts rather than trying to perfectly recreate what's already been done.

I wish one of them had made a figure of Croc from Arkham Knight, his design in that game is so cool and menacing
The mcfarlane head is more accurate what do you mean?

You should do a custom killer frost! Preferably the assault on Arkham 😂 your work is amazing!

@@VADtoys i feel you it took me a lot of time to findthem inmy country(mexico) and yeah it sucks that almost each wave has 2 repeats.
I liked it more stock you just ryind two figres
Why don't you take apart your figures before painting? Also why don't you mix your paints before painting? Not a bad repaint but it's weird.
I don't know the cartoon looking one the mcfarlane one looks closer to the game model version
