People sleep on Nitro Kart in general. The gameplay isn't as tight as it was in Team Racing, but it's still a pretty good reproduction of the concept.
I can't wait to see what other elements they bring back from Nitro Kart for the remake. We already got the karts and I could swear I saw Inferno Island and Deep Sea Driving in there...

Yeah. I don't defend the clunky controls, the lack of turbo reserves mechanics, etc. But the game was really pretty and it had interesting new ideas and mechanics to just toss them to the side. Luckily after seeing the karts in i'm sure they won't doubt in adding those tracks.
But you probably just saw crash cove and sewer speedway.

Agreed, the karts felt a little too slow and heavy (a little like the physics changes in N Sane Trilogy - a recurring VV thing?) but I still like CNK for its really creative-looking course designs!

I use mostly Native Instruments Kontakt libraries for sampled sounds. Hopefully this is helpful.
