Haha..good, but only as a joke..No, it is not easier programming a cnc.. To be honest I don t find the User Interface after playing arround a couple of days..eg creating a user style on CTX- 5000 difficult if you carefully watch the video..But there is another video from a CASIO guy again you should watch :ua-cam.com/video/-LwNA5PoqJ8/v-deo.html (be sure to play it on 0.75 speed this guy is a word-machine gun when he talks 😂😂

It's great! Casio old keyboard is toy like.but,now keyboard is professional type.
I just can't understand how Casio made everything so fundamentally non-intuitive.
So many buttons with labels.
ALMOST entirely irrelevant to what they do.
Press and hold the record/stop button to enter magic menu 7 of sub paragraph 14, section 14. If you are not wearing a hat then you must first hold func button, and press 7, 7, 1, 3, 1 and select zonk. Turn to on and save to user tone 811.
Now the indicator led will show the same symbol it always shows.
You can now record to the drum section IF your name is Harry and it's your birthday tomorrow.
Casio did that to keep the price as low as possible. If I had $7,000 dollars then I would have bought a Yamaha Genos2 Arranger Workstation, or for $1,600 a Casio Privia Pro PX-560 Digital Piano with touchscreen.

You know you're in trouble when the demonstrator begins by showing how to keep the device from timing out in the middle of what you're trying to do.

This video is true, the process _is_ actually that convoluted, it's not a joke video, even though it's ridiculous. The user interface and the menu structure are incomprehensible and the device lacks simple consistent navigational features. By the way, the filter is still broken for monophonic legato sounds in the newest 1.07 firmware. I advice anyone not to buy the CT-X series keyboards unless you have actually tried and tested it.
Hey, I own Korg ek50 and am thinking of switching to this Casio. I really need some edit functionality which the Korg misses. What would you recommend in this price range?

No wonder Guitar Center had this on sell. I think I got lost on the how-to right after "turn on the power". This is way too technical and the keypads are horrible with the plastic "click click"...I didn't hear how bad while in the store. Going to sell this...mind blown!

I got this as a back-up to my Korg Krome which is out for repair. This thing is a joke with all the steps to set up. Definitely going to sell it and it's plastic key bed which is also horrible.

What programming language is this supposed to be? 🤓
Great video. The process is hard, but creating a rhythm needs many operations and steps. You have to specify the settings for your elements, choose your tones, record (and choose some recording options), correct the recordings, mix the differents parts of each element, set the global settings for your thythm and so on. It's a project on its own, like creating a song. regardless of the keyboard used, it is a difficult task that requires understanding what is done with each operation. But it is also a creative activity that can give a lot of pleasure. I am rather impressed that Casio was able to overcome this complex process with the small screen and the few buttons available. It all makes sense once you get used to it. And above all: the rhythm editor is very complete, all the useful functions are there, and believe it or not, but it does everything possible to help and simplify the tasks. it will never be as comfortable as doing this with software on a computer but it has the advantage of being able to do it directly on the device.
Think the same, you're right, i love my ctx and this great option, as you say, without add software... I'm a Drummer and have a lot ideas for own rythms... And the unit has everything, it never gets boring.. 👍😎
