My ex-girlfriend had a small lego house (nicely made out of all red bricks) on her mantlepiece, which had been super-glued together and presented to her as a present by a previous (German) boyfriend 😒🙄 I can only surmise that either he didn't fully understand the concept of Lego, or he simply wanted to ensure that all of his creations would 'last for a thousand years!' 😂
Another thing you can use them for: Practicing your edge highlights! Whenever you're priming a bunch of models, just also prime a few pieces of sprue, the weirder shape the better, and just go absolutely crazy with edge highlights! If you mess up nothing was wasted but a little bit of paint!
This is why I watch videos like this. I've been in this hobby for 20yrs and I'm still learning things. Honestly, half this list I'm surprised I hadn't thought of and want to try them out.
whats great as well is using the green transparent sprues from necrons! You can direclty cut them into shape and glue them, no painting required. Speaking of, those would make great bottles as well....
"It keeps the Citadel bottle lids wide open while ensuring the bottle doesn't fall over." Ah, excuse me, Nobel Prize Committee? I believe we have a winner.
Wow, the amount of creativity here is over the top. I love taking "junk" and making it into something useful, so this hits the right spot. Great job man.
#9 was definitely my favorite one, would probably do something like it for my games. But they're all glorious ideas thank you so much for your contributions to the hobby
Are you kidding me? What do you say about all of this. Amazing, outstanding! I mean, so ingenious that there are no words to say. Kudos my friend, kudos! XO
The crystals, gold coins and barb wire are definitely my favorites. Now my pinted Ork Boss can sleep on his pile of gold and gems safely protected by barb wires and his trusty boyz
Those candles are so clever! Oh by the way, if you want your wire to look better, wrap some thinner wire around it first, then coil it. It'll give you wire that looks more like barbed wire, without sharp little barbs.
AMAZING video my man. Love the uses you have come up with. You have given me ideas and THAT is not a good thing for me. Thank you for your ideas and work on these videos.
I'm not even into gaming or model building, but this is really fun! I love seeing throw-away items used as art. Love the paint bottle holder at 8:12, too.
Another set of great ideas! I particularly like the idea to glue them together and use as crystals, since sculpting those from scratch can be a bit hard to get them with nice sharp angles.
This series has made a fan and subscriber of me. I admire your ingenuity good sir! It's definitely inspiring me to look at my sprues in a very different way.
I used sprues to make a roll cage recently, including using heat to add in bends to the sprue. I also use sprue bits as a filler for big areas that need greenstuff. Just glue in sprue bits and add greenstuff on top for detail, saves a bit of money.
I remember years ago I made a wagon for D&D out of my buddy's old Imperial Guard sprues. Still one of my proudest mini modeling moments. Definitely going yo give these a shot!
I have a me-sized (5 foot 9 inches tall) bag of sprues. I had already planned on using them as frames for bigger buildings in combination with GW cardboard from their boxes. These videos you got have given me so many more ideas tho. In like a year's time, ima have a hella cool wargaming table. thank you for inspiration!
Thanks so much for these vids! Haven’t used any of your exact build but got the inspiration to make 3 whole ruined buildings out of sprues! Keep up the awesome work !
Very creative! I have already thought of using sprues for making crystals for basing my models. I like the ork cage (and the support for contrast paint pot also made from sprue)
I've used them like wooden planks. Made a nice lookout tower and a nice fence line with them. Ideally, with enough, you could create an entire building or even a ship with them.
The cristal base is a brillant idea ! Thanks ! Final result is outstanding ! Now i know why i saved all my sprues, waiting for some genius ideas of yours during months. Time to craft cristalls ! Lol
Those fences were amazing!!! I use a lot of my sprues for sandbags for my few Praetorian Guard pieces. Never got why people just chucked them away, I’ve got hundreds in a cupboard somewhere, even for if I just get bored
Yeah. This video just made me an idiot. I started my hobby of custom painting my warhammer stuff and I always threw my spruces away and now I regret it.
Nice ideas. Candle flames: invert the color scheme! Flames are white/yellow on the bottom, becomes orange and red the more you come to the top and on the top you can put some black for the smoky area.
Dried-out wet wipes are supposedly really good for making tents and tarps or banners. Same method as the tissue paper and pva but the wipes are much more durable and easier to shape when wet with pva.
I like the use of them for a paint bottle holder I'm gonna have to make some to hold my Testors model paint bottles since I prefer to use them over the Citadel paints. And I like the idea of making your candles and bases using leftover sprues. There have been times when my minis were on a molded base and they werent big enough for the figure was to top heavy and would keep falling over and would need a bigger base to support the weight and making my own bases would come in handy when I needed one thanks
That is so creative. I just randomly stumbled onto your channel. I have no interest in miniature figurine painting but because of you i am now intrigued. You sir have just earned a sub. 👍
Remember my old job use to have these little steel wires you used to attach date stamps. Use to always take them home to use on minis. Could look like rebar coming out of broken buildings, metal tubes going from guns to backpacks etc.
These are great, but you really don't want to leave your paint pots open like that, it dries them out faster. Open em', get the paint you need onto your palette, then close it until you next need it :) Even better if you use a wet palette. Those bottles and candles are great!
For the candles - you can also consider heating up/melting the bottoms and affixing it to the table to make it look like a candle that has melted down some :)
I never new that you can use sprues for so many different things And I still have my warhammer sprues Now I know I can make things out of spruce very very cool Thanks for sharing And uploadingThis video
They are Perfect for Minecart Tracks! only clean it white a knife and place 2 beside each other you can make curves to. when there is a big gab on the Tracks you can cover it with Terrain Effect or a Clue sand mix so it will looks like thick dust on the Tracks.
Like creativity, those are sure awesome ideas. Paint holder came handy, while other stuff is perfect for detailing even on dioramas. Also (i know it may be off topic since it isnt warhammer universe) u can use those for kind of armor when building mad maxed car. I turned my jeep grand cherokee from matchbox into wasteland survivor for gaslands game.
These are all really good! I've always wondered if there was a better way to use those frame bits. If only they could be melted into 3D printer filament. But some plastics can't be recycled by melting.
Normally when I watch videos like this, the things people make with their scrap turn out to be more scrap, but these are actually really good ideas! Reminds of TheCrafsman.
All of it was brilliant, but the bottle holder was my favorite. I bet you could out together an entire stand system to hold your immediate and common tools like brushes and supplies
After being inspired by your uses for sprues videos, I made a set of crystals as well. However, I got around having to paint them by using transparent green sprues from an old Gundam kit. I've also been using sprue strings for stringing bows, as most minis that carry bows don't have a string

Really good video
"I'm just going to glue these lego pieces together"
Lego fans everywhere: I sense a disturbance in the force
I use spreus for the base 😂👍
Well yeah, it was sacrilege.
Heresi 😈👍🏼 dark God's approved
I was chocked by this desecration of Lego pieces

Great little tip =)
Love the creativity, I've been saving my sprues ever since.
Cool, now get making stuff =)

Thank you, Im really pleased so many people are enjoying and getting things from my videos =)
"ah this is not really nothing revolutionary, i can do all this with barbeque sticks"
*makes little bottles*
"OOOOOOHHHHH!!"
The bottles and candles are my favourite thing I have made so far =)
I am not a hobbyist, or a miniature-ist, but somehow this came into my UA-cam feed and I must say, this is very cool, impressive 👍
As soon as I saw those green crystals: "This would be an excellent Skaven army base!"
Anthony Casino plenty room on a grey seer base for several! Thematic in warcry to always have some warpstone handy yes yes.
Loads of great ideas there, the crystals are the winner for me!
Cool, Im glad you found it of value =)
whats great as well is using the green transparent sprues from necrons! You can direclty cut them into shape and glue them, no painting required.

Man this stuff is brutally cunning
Or maybe cunningly brutal
Either way I am pleased you like it =)
Gork and Mork approves
"It keeps the Citadel bottle lids wide open while ensuring the bottle doesn't fall over."
Ah, excuse me, Nobel Prize Committee? I believe we have a winner.
Haha, that sounds good but I would be happy with a silver play button =)
Seen it half way through and thought 'If that isn't on the list it better get an honourable mention!'
Wow, the amount of creativity here is over the top. I love taking "junk" and making it into something useful, so this hits the right spot. Great job man.

Thank you for watching =)
Those candles are the best candles I’ve seen made, so realistic. Bravo sir.
First of all:
- nibbely-nobbly became my favourite word.
Secondly:
- instant subscription!!!

I love these videos. Takes me back to being a kid watching Art Attack
same, except this is actually doable
I do not play any tabletop games but could not stop watching this. So interesting and creative. Great work!
Those candles are so clever! Oh by the way, if you want your wire to look better, wrap some thinner wire around it first, then coil it. It'll give you wire that looks more like barbed wire, without sharp little barbs.
Thank you, I will give the wire idea ago thank you =)
The Gold coins are awesome and the paint pot holder is genius! Great video, thanks 👊
AMAZING video my man. Love the uses you have come up with. You have given me ideas and THAT is not a good thing for me. Thank you for your ideas and work on these videos.
Glad to help and working on the next top 10 video as we speak =)
I'm not even into gaming or model building, but this is really fun! I love seeing throw-away items used as art. Love the paint bottle holder at 8:12, too.
I was expecting this to to be life-hack clickbait garbage but this is actually really inspiring! I love how quick paced it is.
Haha, thank you, Im working on the next top 10 now =)
Dude! Those candles are awesome! I love your creativity with these sprues.
Another set of great ideas! I particularly like the idea to glue them together and use as crystals, since sculpting those from scratch can be a bit hard to get them with nice sharp angles.
... This is one of the best youtube Channel, in my opinion. Obviously, I subscribed. Congratulations, you have a huge creativity.

Return of the King, love seeing what you come up with! Everything is so out of the box and impressive. Can’t wait to see what you do next.

a lot of great ideas, but the crystals are so genius. simple, but perfect. cant believe i never thought of doing that before. thanks for the idea!
The creativity on display here is incredible.
This was AMAIZING way better then the other videos on " how to use sprues" so creative , the Tent one was amaizing
These are absolutely fantastic, and a perfect example of what some creativity and time can get you!
I don't even play 40k and think this is awesome! You sir, have great talent!
Great stuff! Really love those candles. Will look good with some CSM Terminators!
Very cool stuff. I like the trap cage and the table with bottles and candles .
Thanks so much for these vids! Haven’t used any of your exact build but got the inspiration to make 3 whole ruined buildings out of sprues! Keep up the awesome work !
Thanks for sharing the technique of melting spruces with the acetone . That is really useful technique and can make easily thanks for that
Part 1 was great, you cranked this one up to 11. Great job!!!!
You have the creativity and ingenuity of an ork Mekboy, that's meant to be a compliment.
Was working on some of these last night serendipitously! Cool stuff!
Very creative! I have already thought of using sprues for making crystals for basing my models. I like the ork cage (and the support for contrast paint pot also made from sprue)
Man, what a great rundown of how to use what would normally be a cast off item...simply brilliant. Sub'd as a result of just this video.
I've used them like wooden planks. Made a nice lookout tower and a nice fence line with them. Ideally, with enough, you could create an entire building or even a ship with them.
I was so impressed with this video and the creativity that you got yourself a new subscriber! Can't wait for the Ork Battlewagon! 👍
Thank you so much and the Battlewagon will be pretty awesome =)
That's crazy! My head just exploded. You're awesome.
Great creativity! Id love to be able to think up things like this from basic components. Very impressive.
The cristal base is a brillant idea ! Thanks ! Final result is outstanding ! Now i know why i saved all my sprues, waiting for some genius ideas of yours during months. Time to craft cristalls ! Lol
Awesome uses for sprues. Very imaginative. Thank you.
Even if im not into tabletop i wanna say that this is highly creative! I like it very much :)
Always thought there was something you could do with the tons of sprue that I just can't throw away. Even my 2 sons save them. Awesome video, thanks
Those fences were amazing!!! I use a lot of my sprues for sandbags for my few Praetorian Guard pieces. Never got why people just chucked them away, I’ve got hundreds in a cupboard somewhere, even for if I just get bored

Nice ideas.
Candle flames: invert the color scheme! Flames are white/yellow on the bottom, becomes orange and red the more you come to the top and on the top you can put some black for the smoky area.
That tissue paper idea blew my bloody mind! I never thought of trying that!
It works really well, takes about 24 hours to fully dry though =)
Dried-out wet wipes are supposedly really good for making tents and tarps or banners. Same method as the tissue paper and pva but the wipes are much more durable and easier to shape when wet with pva.
i'm not a fan of the hard/rough texture of them once they dry. still looking for a good solution and I don't think sprues are the answer this time
Absolutely love this, the Paint pot holder is genius.
These guides are so useful, I've already made a brick wall, wire fence and some crystals and I'll prob make a fence too.
Gosh the creativity in this video is mind blowing, wonderful work sir
Thank you so much =)
This was excellent, so happy it got recommended for me. Good job!
This is super awesome!
I made crystals from colored bath salt recently. But your sprues ones are waaaaay better!
Your entire tent construction was Awesome!
Very creative! Marvelous! Thanks for sharing your content!
I don't even have any models or sprues but I still watched these 2 vids back to back.
Amazing creativity and variety of uses!! Subbed
These are so amazing! Watching your videos makes me want to go try to make these things!
I'm probably never gonna do any of this, but very fun to watch, looks great!
I like the use of them for a paint bottle holder I'm gonna have to make some to hold my Testors model paint bottles since I prefer to use them over the Citadel paints. Holy moly, those crystals look pretty cool. Nifty little trick that.
Love this. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to get working on the paint bottle holder right away!!
Love the candles idea! Definitely trying that myself, thanks!
I wish I had seen these 20 years ago. I dont wargame anymore but what you have done is amazing
That is so creative. I just randomly stumbled onto your channel. I have no interest in miniature figurine painting but because of you i am now intrigued. You sir have just earned a sub. 👍

Even better if you use a wet palette.

This is so creative! Thx a lot for sharing it with us!
Surprisingly good. I enjoyed the video!
This guy needs to be featured in White Dwarf. Seriously good stuff.
Would be fun to play on one of your tables with your terrain setup.
Glad I saved these pieces, just got into imperial assault. So much fun, can’t wait to go crazy making new props!
For the candles - you can also consider heating up/melting the bottoms and affixing it to the table to make it look like a candle that has melted down some :)
Another great bunch of ideas, might give wire fence a try and I'm looking forward to the Ork battlewagon build.
Cheers John, Im looking forward to building it lol =)
alot of these are simple but brilliant things I seriously never thought of

I have lots of spruce parts from my gundam collection. This gave me a good idea, Thanks!
wow! so looking forward to that battlewagon video!
Its gonna be epic =)
Sir you are awesome!! Thank you so much for teaching us your creativity! Cheers from argentina
Oh wow! Thanks for these ideas! They all look cool!
I liked this video just for the first tip (love the gold coins idea for objectives )
After being inspired by your uses for sprues videos, I made a set of crystals as well. However, I got around having to paint them by using transparent green sprues from an old Gundam kit.
I've also been using sprue strings for stringing bows, as most minis that carry bows don't have a string
First time viewer here....LOVING the videos!!!
