Quite disrespectful for the 2 girls that took the buggy. If someone was drowning, they wouldve had his vehicle that was able to get him to the drowned person in a second. So they wouldve been responsible if someone didnt make it

People are so idiotic. Like seriously, "I can't swim! I'm going to go to Australia and go swim in the ocean with large waves. Sounds like fun. What, I can drown? I didn't know that." It is a shame that all lifeguards have to deal with their nonsense. I love H's no nonsense personality!
There is a lot of ways to clean the gene pool. Sometimes you just should let people learn in their own .
For those of us who grew up going to Aussie beaches swimming between the flags comes naturally. We also learnt not to panic when we got caught in a rip as of you stay afloat you'll be right. The lifeguards would much rather you ask questions if you don't understand what things mean. The simple fact is the ocean is dangerous without local knowledge
@@LightshamanaDhyana yeah but people should learn in a pool , not as deep or deadly.. not in a ocean which is unpredictable and has waves that can drown you before you can think (especially if you have never swam before)
Knowing how to swim is compulsory in Australia, even in the most inland places, it’s a requirement
There is a massive cultural difference between Asia and the west when it comes to swimming. I live on an island, everyone took kids to swimming classes, by our teens we'd spend ten of thousands of hours swimming in pools, lakes, and beaches. It was a rite of passage and something nearly every kid did. Even for me, when I'd do summer camp, I noticed how poor swimmers city kids were. Flash forward to my adulthood and I've travelled to China, Japan, and other Asian countries. They don't teach their kids to swim on the same scale. They have few indoor pools, zero private pools, too many people for lakes and river swimming, and almost no public beaches. Unfortunately, if you can't swim (and I mean like do 100m laps for a half-hour) then you likely haven't been exposed to ocean swimming, waves, tides, crowds, red tide, jellyfish, etc., etc. to gain a respect for them.
It's like the outdoors. I see so many Asians wandering around lost, trying to take close up pictures of moose, leaving food out when camping, etc.
As a former lifeguard, we get SUPER frustrated and stressed when people don’t listen. Parents can either be your best friend or worst of the bunch.
True parents that don’t listen can cause kids to drown
Romans 10:9
If you declare with your mouth,Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Bro I don’t blame yous, people think it’s a game when their lives and the lifeguards are at risk
@@usi8821 the worst part, one of my worst encounters was in my final summer. they did not realize I wasn't some teenager. I was out of college, married, had a teaching job and PREGNANT!
And thus if a lifeguard retaliates by giving them shit, their boss disciplines them
Lifeguards are risking their own lives saving the public, So true that cops, paramedics or firemen would not put up with this blatant disregard.
Tourists legit cause 80% of the problems at Bondi.
That’s the case on every well known beach...actually, every beach.
they underestimated the waves in bondi.
Yea ..and it is a dangerous beach as far as the top go but if you listen to lifeguards and flags you should be allright
You can't swim like that with that wave, even Michael Phelps or a life guard can be drown with that wave.
@metro_ man that’s the thing. They don’t know a thing yet they still act so arrogant and ignore a freaking lifeguard!
Getting a DUI and arrested for GTA would have been a great reality check for the ladies who stole the buggy

Then again they’re ladies after all they’ll get to avoid it
good luck making the grand theft charges stick. but you're right
Unbelievable how these people disregard signs and what the lifeguards tell them. I can say, as a kid I drifted from between the flags and was stuck in a rip . But a grown adult should notice if they begin to drift away from the flags , it's just beyond a joke . These guys put their lives in danger to save others , and they get no respect. Maybe thats how it should be then people would listen.
Aside from one of the larger more popular beaches here we don't have lifeguards on the beaches (we do at some of the lakes though. Partly because the locals aren't generally dumb enough to go swimming on the beaches usually) but put it this way. So many people drown a year that unless it's like an entire family or a young child involved the news don't even bother to report it anymore. Usually it's divers if they're local. Tourists are just dumb and can't read signs. Did have a little story about a bunch of idiot tourist teens getting stuck in The Tourist Trap, jellyfished and drowned. We don't normally get (dangerous) jellies here but every once in a while we'll get some come up all the way from the states.
"I would not call myself an idiot"... So honey, what do you call yourself? A hero for being rescued (for the 2nd time) by an experienced lifeguard who told you not to swim in that area?!

Alcohol makes you do stupid things sometimes, I don't personally blame them for what they did, it all really depends on how they handle alcohol and how drunk they were. Admittedly they are stupid for getting in and driving it around, but It was most likely the alcohol.

Watching Bondi Rescue makes me so glad I live in WA where we have endless uncrowded beaches. The amount of people in the water at Bondi is a nightmare to me. Well done to the lifeguards for having to deal with it.
I got swept out in a rip tide one day as a teenager at a beach that wasn’t guarded. Even though I was a part-time pool lifeguard and a strong swimmer, swimming out of the rip and back to the shore zapped almost all my energy. I owe my life to being a strong swimmer, but even as a strong swimmer, rips are no joke. I now only swim at guarded beaches and I’ve learned how to identify rip currents and avoid them.

This... The worst people to deal with were the ones who thought they were strong swimmers and would go out 50-100 feet beyond the buoys, and on rare occasions, 200 feet beyond the buoys. Was always a pain to talk to them, and most of the time they had no idea they were mixed in with boat traffic and could barely be seen. Especially when there was a bit of a swell.
I can't believe they stole the lifeguard buggy and equipment, my heart sank. Just go party at home, geez.
“You can’t fix stupid. There’s not a pill you can take or a class to go to, stupid is for life” lol
One summer day, I innocently told my children aged 8 and 11 years of age at the time to try out their new buggy boards and to stay close to me because I noticed that the current was a little strong. Within 5 seconds both children were swept out over 150 feet in the ocean. My heart started racing and I screamed out to my son to pick up his 8 year old sister as she had lost her buggy board and was sinking in the water. I was screaming for help. My husband ran to their rescue as he is a good swimmer but the current was so strong that he too got pulled in. After so much effort and energy he managed to get to both of them. The 3 were hanging on to a single small buggy board. I recuperated the buggy board my daughter had lost and rushed to help them out. My husband gave me this one look I will never forget. Completely exhausted, he let me know he couldn't hang on any further. I was scared for my children's lives, my husband's life let alone for mine. I thought that we were all going to drown on that beautiful sunny day in Florida. By miracle a retired life guard, who was on vacation, came to save us that day. I had never heard of a rip tide and it's dangerous effects. I hadn't even noticed that there was no life guard on duty that day. At least not in the spot where we had chosen. By miracle we survived and learned a much needed lesson. From then on, we are glued to the life guard station, look at the different flags and warnings of the day and we have a different view on the importance of a life guard. Much respect for all of them.
its sad it takes a life-threatening movement for certain people to realize (not marking you but your not the first story ive seen like this)
I'm so glad you all are safe! I live in a coastal beach town and we always see a couple tourists a year drown in rip currents. All the towns put out warnings, big signs, flags everywhere, but sadly many people just don't know what they mean or what the danger is until its too late.
Pass your knowledge on, it could save a life!
Yup, a lot of people take the ocean forgranted and forget how deadly it is. So glad to hear you guys were able to get out of that nasty situation unharmed.
Yeah I'm a floridian too and I've luckily never experienced anything dangerous at the beach, I usually stay right in front of the lifeguard tower and only go where I can stand just in case
you shouldn't bring your small children to the beach if you are not familiar enough with the dangers and trained to deal with it. smh

My mom got sucked into one and nearly drowned they’re no joke
The swimmers at Bondi are lucky though, there's always a fair amount of life guards and they do their job brilliantly. At Piha Beach in Auckland, the rips are worse, and the beach is surrounded by rock. Can really understand these guys getting shitty, because the amount of deaths at Piha Beach alone is insane, mostly from people caught in Riptides that drag them into the rocks. Or the change of tide. Majority of those being the ones that don't listen.
Lifeguards don't mind if you swim outside the flags, especially with a large amount of people. That'd be stupid to think they could all fit. But they tend to leave the larger groups away from rips alone, because they're not in danger, and those people tend to be a bit smarter about the rips.
As a lifeguard when kids don’t listen it’s a pain in the butt but when the parents act like some Karen’s and saying they know more about the beach then we do that just gets me.

I love H-Man!!! He was calm and didn't really lose his temper by calling someone an idiot. There are several other words that could have been used. Being called an idiot is better than being carried by six. God Bless you all for protecting the beach!!!!
They have a lot more patience then I would have
Gonzo ripped on his day off. still goes to work, what a man
I never knew I would be addicted to watching Australian lifeguards save tons of people
Imagine being rude to a guy that's there to save lives...
I personally can't, because I'm not an idiot
I'm a teacher and I've been on trips with kids involving visits to the beach and always to calmer waters than Bondi. We have really strict rules about going in the water. They can't go into the sea without us and only five kids per teacher allowed in at a time and each group is allocated a teacher they have to stay near to. We don't swim around and play. We stand and supervise. One teacher stands in the sea facing the shore and they are not allowed to swim beyond that teacher or more than a few metres away from any other teacher so we can get to them in seconds when they fall over or if they get into trouble and we count their heads continually. This way we can organise games for them or let them just have fun and basically do what they want. When it's time to get out, we all get out together with them in front of us and us getting out behind them. One last head count on the sand before we go back together to get dry. Despite the rules the kids always have great fun.
Those Korean teachers made my blood run cold.
he didn't look worried at all and told the kids they could go back in to swim before they needed to be rescued . obviously the kids don't understand the danger and can't understand english ... but the teacher ....what the hell ??? and he was so far away from them too so he couldn't look at them proprely.. that scared me too... imagine parents learning their kids drowner because of a dumb teacher,,, in another country ... those kids were smarter than their teacher asking to go to a swimming pool... much more safer for them.
I have no patience what so ever! So good on you guys! 😂
Girl: I went in the water where he said people die at, but I’m not an idiot
Me: YES U ARE!!!!
Time stamp?
Imagine being that teacher and not being on 100% alert the whole time 10 YO.s were in the water
“We put kill switches in the buggy and u ain’t gonna find em” I was dying
ive only been a lifeguard for just a week now at the pool next door to me. majority of the people have listened to me. but these two regulars, two 15 year old boys wont listen to me and went down the slide and landed on a 10 year old boy and then the boys mother proceeded to scream at me. ended up just switching the slide off because they just refused to listen to anything i said. its probably because im a 17 year old short skinny girl who cant shout for the life of me so they think they can mess around and i wont do anything :') im hoping i'll get over my nerves at some point and not be afraid to just shout across the pool at them lol. or grow an extra 10 feet paired with the deepest voice to exist. either one would do.
Guy: "we must have drifted down a bit..."
Of course you did, that's why the sign said 'Dangerous Currents.'
*tries to drown*
“I wouldn’t call myself an idiot” -an idiot
Lmao
One of the things I find really scary is that there are all these happy faces, but it can so easily turn into panic and tragedy.
As a Brit on holiday in Australia I remember the power of the water rushing back down the beach to the sea after a big wave. One foot (30cm) of water was rushing so fast back to the sea it was trying to rip you off your feet and you had to fully brace. I remember taking a mental note to stick to swimming in the pool and just chill on the beach. I hadn't experienced anything like it before and I realised how deep trouble I could have ended up in. It was Surfer's Paradise of Mooloolaba (spl?)
Bondi Rescue: "They just tear down the beach 100 mile an hour"
Also Bondi Rescue: Jogging right next to the buggy
😂😂😂
😂😂😂 so funny how everything is over exaggerated
Nah hes just an ultimate chad and can jog at that speed
😂😂😂😂
We're Aussies, we use miles per hour when exaggerating and kilometers per hour when we're not
Everyone in this episiode is super disrespectful to the lifeguards who litrelly risk their lives for people who need help. And people give absolute No respect for them, Like... Jeez
oh my gosh i love this so much iwatch this like every time before i go to bed like i love it i watch every singal video you post i have got loeds to catch up on tho bc i was on holliday so bye
As a lifeguard, its not only being quick to help and provide care but the patience and the cool you have to maintain
