- Landscape Photography on Sgurr An Fhidhleir which i personally think is Scotland's best view of a Landscape in Scotland. Located in the Northwest Highlands, Sgurr An Fhidhleir offers vast panoramic views across the Assynt mountains.
This consisted of a Sunset and sunrise with 30 hours spent on the mountain.
It was tough going with an over night bivvy on the summit, but, worth it.
I do hope you find this video a learning experience for how to get to these locations and how to capture the landscape around here. Its an easy little walk/climb to Sgurr An Fhidhleir but, with determination you can do it!
Please do hit the like and Subscribe for more adventures and locations that hopefully inspire you to not only get out and grab some images but, making an adventure!
stay safe folks
As always on to the next location.............

So yes lots to do and see! 😅
We’re planning to head up this way in October so thanks for sharing this gorgeous landscape 😍
No problem👍 I hope the weather is kind to you.
Stunning work yet again Cliff.
Thank you for sharing, Cliff
That’s gone on the bucket list. Loved the last image. A beauty
An Awesome place Karl, easy going on the Approach and awesome views. so many compositions to choice from.
Terrific video, huge respect for your dedication to produce such outstanding work and for sharing your experience 🙌
Wow, Excellent as usual, I like your approach to photography, your compositions of photos so good, thank you 👍🏴👏
Fantastic images Cliff, it’s added to my list of places to cover. Andy
Cliff another amazing video.
I was up there on the 17th and 18th taking photos!
How was the light/weather for you?
@@CliffHands It wasn't the best, but can't complain. Rainbows, storm cloud's, and sun rays breaking through clouds with some unicorns would have been nice. I didn't stay on the mountain overnight and didn't stay for sunrise/ sunset as I didn't think the weather would change. I was up there from around 10am to 2pm both days. We set up our cameras on exactly the same spot! (You can find me on Flickr if you are curious). Great drone shots! I climbed Stac Pollaidh today and traversed east to west, but all in mist. Fantastic mountain. Got a very long drive home tomorrow :(
Great vlog Cliff! Terrific views and a great experience for you to enjoy. Tell me, Cliff, are you a full-time photographer or do you hold down another job also? Because you are always appearing to me to be travelling...
Hi Allan.
I do hold down another job until I can go full time on the landscape. The Photography sales don’t just balance up! Just need to get the subs and UA-cam built then I will be at it full time covering more locations.
I’m out every weekend and travelling out and about…
Lots planned for the future with the outer Hebrides(taking abseiling gear for Mangersta sea stacks and Stac a Phris) down low shots!
More mountain vistas, The infinity pool in Glencoe which hardly anyone knows about.
Thank you again Allan for the kind words.
Regards cliff.
Hey lovely video mn I love it. I'm doing this tomorrow I believe. Is there god enough grass there for itching the pegs into?
Absolutely loads of room…
What a beautiful landscape and what fantastic images! I really don't understand why there are not at least 100k subscribers to your channel :)
Hopefully 🙏 one day.
Thank you again your to kind.
Love your videos Cliff. Could you please tell me what editing material do you use for both your stills and drone footage. I have just purchased a Mavic 2 pro and would like to progress to your standard. Looking forward to many more videos.
Hi Allan I produce my videos on Premier Pro and edit Images in Lightroom. I don’t edit my drone footage. If your doing video on the DJi fly more App you can adjust your exposure, you’ll need to do this every location it’s all adjusted on the dji fly app.
I only use the drone for video all images are done on my Sony.
I also use drone app for flying it gives you danger zones and no fly zones.
Best landscape and views in UK ... and a six car access parking space. The Scots couldnt organize a cup of tea in a whisky distillery
You are using exposure compensation -0.3 @7.23. Any particular reason for that?
Just over riding the auto light meter reading as it lets me darken the image along with using a grad before post processing. There is ways around it by closing the Aperture to about f16 also in day light conditions. 👍
How long was the hike up from the carpark?
About 2 hour walk.
