Hey Ditto, thanks for the video. I didnt knew about Optima Super Secure plan. I am porting my policy from NivaBupa to HDFC Ergo. When I called HDFC Ergo customer care number, they did not tell me about Super Secure plan.

Depends on the type of medications one takes for hypertension and diabetes. If it is regular oral medications & no blood thinners - the policy will mostly be issued with waiting period and loading charge if applicable.
Mam, please do a video on pre existing disease clause in insurance policy and non disclosure impact on claim settlement even after completion of waiting period of 3 or 4 years or whether any pre health checkups are done by insurer to identify peds
Insurer won't pay anything if you haven't mentioned PEDs. Moreover they can cancel the policy if they found out have not mentioned the peds. Kindly do mention the PEDs before taking the insurance.
I read about a clause about the continuity after the age 65, so by the time one is most likely to make a claim, this HDFC plan would discontinue..I guess this is a major con of this policy.
Which plan ? Optima secure ? No. They won't discontinue after u r 65. Check their prospectus page 19, 22. They show how much premiums they charge at all ages upto 80 yrs and also above.
