Very informative as I have no need for waste, I would call to find the sheet length under 9 feet. The amount will be due to my calculations because of shape and the fact it is being welded into one piece.
Good Morning, My B deck layout, in the 36" direction, is 5" short. My inside parapet to parapet dimensions is 15' - 4". That is 5 - 36" panels with 5" left over. What is the correct detail to fill the 5"?
I have a client whos entire house is metal frame all the way up to the roof trusses with a metal decking substrate such as this and she has standing seam metal roof panels installed on top and has replace the standing seam panels. What method do you recommend to go about doing that?
The metal decking overlap is a 2" minimum. Most jobs are overlapped, 2"-4". Must be overlapped over a support beam/joist. The greater the overlap the worse the deck will nest at the sidelap.
@@WesternStatesMetalRoofing Thank you for your reply. I have a total run of 32'-8". I am assuming 2 -12ft panels and 1-10ft panel cut down to 9ft, allowing 2" overlap at each end of the 9ft panel. can panels be swaged or will the 2" overlap work without too much interference? We are using metal C joists (800 S 200-68) for roof joists, I am having a hard time finding a span chart for ROOF C joists...all the span charts are for floor loading. The HSB-36 (22ga) will easily span 36, 42, 48, etc. but the joist span charts only go up to 24"o/c spacing. The roof load is just rigid insulation and roof board....trying to come up with the most efficient design....Thanks again for your help.

How much end overlap from one sheet to the next? or are the sheets butted together?
