Due to destruction of this ancient city a lot of monuments & scriptures of ancient pre islamic Iran has been lost... Achaemenid empire built by Cyrus the great was the first empire in human history but Many archeological gems of it are lost because of maniac behavior of Alexander.

Persian architecture ek alag style ka hai. Persia par islamic invasion se pahle aur baad mein jo architecture hai wo same hai,bas difference ye hai ki islamic invasion se pahle wahan buildings mein idols bhi build hote thay,jesa aapne dekha bhi hai Persepolis mein, islamic invasion kay baad wahan buildings mein design to wahi tha but idols ki jagh persian( post islamic invasion script) mein kuch kuch likha hota hai.dome bhi add ho gye jo mostly har jagh hote hai islamic architecture mein.
