So your music taste isn’t very interesting. Mine isn’t either, I’m a fan of Coldplay and Death Cab for Cutie, but that’s not what Im telling people. In my opinion, to reach optimal levels of coolness, an album has to be obscure enough that the person you are telling hasn’t heard of it, but popular enough to be listenable and socially acceptable. On the obscure end we start to fall out of the realm of music with albums like this. And at the popular end, we have super polished, highly palatable music that is moderately enjoyable but doesn’t set you apart from anyone else. Other coolness factors to consider include interesting or edgy album art and song titles. Unfortunately this probably wont work on your degenerate music nerd friends, they already know all of these albums and will think their music taste is better no matter what you tell them. But I have done my best to come up with 10 albums in this optimal coolness range to make your friends think your aesthetic taste is better than it actually is.

hi i clicked this video because i thought the title was sarcastic
but yeah anyway dont listen to music because what other people think, your initial enjoyment of music should never be concerned with anything socially ty
sidenote, if you do want to discover more music, related music and recommendations can be a good place to start, but radio and forms of autoplay are terrible. the more automated the process is, the worse it is for discovery. discovering music should be done actively.
ty again good day

Listenability is overrated, if you arnt alienating yourself over your obscure and terrible taste in noise/grind and early 90's Jungle, then you just arn't living life right.

First off, I already love you because you recommended The Hotelier (Home, Like no place is there is one of the best albums ever) but I gotta be honest…lol, there is nothing less cool than folk punk! And I love it (Wingnut Dishwashers Union is my favorite PtB project), but that’s a spectacularly uncool genre.
That shits too good to be cool.

I tried going outside, wouldn't recommend. 0/10 NOT GOOD
I'd reckon most of the music I listen to isn't socially acceptable and I'm perfectly ok with that. 😂
