  • Having a mental illness does not define you :-)
This weeks video is on how I went from the couch (I couldn't even run to the end of the road) to completing a Marathon in 8 months! It was a crazy adventure but I'm so pleased I did it! I break down the journey and how I built up along the way. There are so many aspects that can help make this journey a little easier and it's one I think so many people can achieve :-)
I am not a professional these are just my experiences. You should always seek advice from your doctor before taking on any kind of physical activities.

Inspirational!! I've done 3 half marathons in the past and now I've just signed up for the Brighton Marathon in April 2024! I'm so excited 😊

Thanks for sharing your experience-it’s one of the most helpful videos I’ve come across. I’m about to start training for a 10K in October 2024. I’m 44, smoke, and the only exercise I get is walking my dogs. I’m skinny but have no endurance. My dream is to run a marathon one day.

Loved this video! I'm getting back into running now after a year and a half of being inactive. I was able to get a spot in the 2022 NYC Marathon next November - it will be my first ever!. Thanks so much for sharing your story - I'm really excited to build up my miles between now and next November!

Hey! Thanks so much for watching and commenting. That’s amazing you’re getting back in to things. I find after I’ve had time out it’s tough getting back but I do end up feeling so much better for it. That’s so awesome about getting a spot in the NYC marathon the atmosphere will be absolutely incredible and the memories will last a lifetime!! Let me know how your training goes, build up gradually and you will smash it!

Hey thanks for watching and your message. That’s amazing to hear you’ve signed up 😃 honestly I couldn’t run far at all to start with but if you just build up gradually it’s absolutely possible. You’ve inspired me to want to book some more now!!!

Fist time I've ever commented on a UA-cam video but felt I had to! Great video and thanks for sharing, really inspiring story and giving me confidence to go out and train for the virtual London Marathon in 8 months time! I've signed up with the exit strategy that I can quit if I want, helps me too! Thanks for sharing!
