I just ordered my first hammer and chisels. Im going to be learning how to sculpt on my own and i want to say i appreciate your videos, i believe they will help me.
@angelinasophiakamaratou1205 it's going but I'm literally still having the same problem. I have nothing to carve and ordering material from a supplier or online is a rich man's game. I love the hobby but it's very hard to get into lol my tools are holding up well though. And I need some bigger chisels and hammers for breaking the bigger blocks I have found into smaller chunks. 👍😉 thanks for asking.
I am young but interested in stone carving and marble sculpture. Maybe one day I will master it, but now I am just newbie and do not know where to start.. I love your videos especially this one(at the moment).. Carvings and sculptures are my top 3 art form!!! Please never stop making videos, I love them so so much! ❤
Great video, very relaxing. Your approach and technique is excellent. As if you were in zen attitude. The head is delicate and soft. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much for your content. I love your work! I would like to transition from wood to stone carving. Do you have any advice for choosing a pneumatic chisel?
@@AtharJaber I actually prefer hand carving. I have two neuromuscular diseases. Heavy use of my muscles triggers attacks. When carving wood, I usually use power tools when possible to remove bulk material at the start of the piece. Then, I do all the rest by hand. What is your best method for removing bulk? What would you suggest in my case?
Hello, dear Jaber. Your works of art are very beautiful and admirable. Can you tell me the brand and technical specifications of the wind hammer you are working with in this video? Thank you and good luck.
Gorgeous mate. How long in time did this take you?? I am 52 and am finally going to start sculpture. It is my Love. I need to try my hand. Your videos will be my teacher!!! Thanks. daniel Bathurst NSW Australia.
I suggest you start with simple exercises to learn how to handle the tools and feel the stone. Don't immediately embark in too ambitious projects. Hands are very hard. In my opinion, letter carving is the best way to start.

Hey how did your progress go?
@@hofmeinmer it's going very slowly lol I'm getting used to the chisels and tools but finding material in the Carolinas is almost impossible.
@@Saxon-Jack 6 months later, how's it goin??

Honestly, I'd start carving by hand. One must understand the stone and how it feels with hand tools first.

I'm 15 and would love to learn how to sculpt marble statues. I can already draw pretty well and that's the first step I guess
Have u worked with clay? Is clay looked down upon by sculptors because its deemed as «easier»?
Thank you
Fantástico!
Gracias!
You have a base already attached. Is that permanent?
No that’s just to provide some counterweight while carving. I’ve already removed it.
Why do you have so many plaster casts on the wall?
We must not forget the achievements of earlier masters and their example is always a valuable lesson.
@@AtharJaber Very nice . Thank you
No eye protection? How is the stone dust on your lungs and nasal passages???
Not what one would call healthy...
@@AtharJaber thank you for your honesty, beautiful work.

Amico, questa dimostrazione del tuo intaglio diretto nel marmo è già possibile per capire come si lavora la pietra grezza.

Grazie José, piacere mio.
After my visit in Italy I search how to make it. Lol I can’t imagine during renaissance time how they make it with not so much technology.
I was looking for a how-to video but I got something from an A24 film.
