They filmed him and the Marsh Pride beginning in 2016, and he was a little past his prime (in his prime at best), but still the boss. But it’s 2025 now, so sadly he’s dead now. Lions “can” live around 9-13 years old. So if he was alive around 2020 at best, he was probably ousted by younger nomads and would have died of old age by now even if he wasn’t ousted. I liked him tho. He did kill his own son for simply hugging his mother (when Sekekama was ready to mate), but he became a great father and looked out for his next litter of little ones. You don’t see male lions have any patience with younger ones at all. But he became as patient as their mother and they crawled all over him and ate with him when nobody in the pride was allowed to until he was done.
Thank you, Nat Geo Animals, for delivering such an inspiring and thrilling episode
This is the animal UA-cam channel I can watch with no fake AI arrangement.
Some footages were from other documentaries but still better than most.

Hyenas are not dogs
Look like.
They are! They're part of the dog family
@theBlaackDragon Hyenas are not members of the dog or cat families. Instead, they are so unique that they have a family all their own, Hyaenidae.
Nopes! 🙅♀️ men are! Most ,women as well! Smh wth 🤦♀️ 😒 😮😢💔 💔 💔 😢
@buff_n_lu really?? Im ginna have 2 ,Google check, this! 😮 ✔️ ✅️
If a hyena is not a feline or canine what species is it? 🤔
It is a feliform carnivoran like cats. So they’re More closely related to cats than to dogs. Dogs are caniforms.
Neither! Hyenas are so unique they have their own biological family named Hyaenidae.
