There were 3 divergent groups in the ETO (the show hid the name) organization, the show totally removed the contents about them, that is why you guys don't understand why Ye is not standing with Mike Evens.

The Books have some VERY high concept science but that it what drew me to it to begin with.
I know its a tv show but i rolled my eyes when the officers picked Jin to escort her out from everyone else, thats just an obvious giveaway to blow her cover, no intelligence operation would be that clumsy. Still a great show.

You did an excellent guess! Unfortunately this show did not get enough time to include details from the book that Wenjie and Evans parted their ways and split the organization to Arrivalists and Salvationists. One focus on eliminate any hurdles for San-Ti's arrival, even by hurting most human race; the other focus on find a way to peacefully share Earth with San-Ti.
Thanks for reviewing this show. I've been looking forward to this one for awhile (since reading the books) and I'll be interested to see y'alls reaction, especially liking the individual show breakdown, because I have only seen 4 episodes. I have to tell you though, it's Three Body Problem. There's never an s at the end. I see you made the mistake originally, but you can correct it going forward. Give the name the respect it deserves and Review Three Body Problem please. It's only one Problem, but it's big enough that we don't need more. Thanks for correcting error going forward...

I wish they had established how long he had been having these convos. I would think you would explain what fairy tales are before you would read them in a first contact situation.

Idk, eventually human capacity for active deception would have come up. They were coming to conquer regardless - it was really what level of human existence they would allow after they arrive.

I am not sure if it would make a difference. San-Ti communication makes it impossible to lie. The idea that a being can communicate falsely is entirely foreign to them. “We are afraid of you” doesn’t really leave room for explanation.
He definitely wasn't the best representative

Why is the name of the ship spelt wrong? JUDGMENT as opposed to JUDGEMENT? Or is that an alternative spelling?

Judgment, without an E, has been the prevailing spelling since before the 1800s, but judgement with the E is considered an acceptable variant in some contexts.
You’re more likely to see it with an E in British English, as opposed to American English, but even in the UK the E-free spelling predominates.

I don't think they have been in real time contact for very long. Only around the same time as the particle colliders starting malfunctioning.
Tbh the series isn’t bad but really terrible adaptation of the book imo. But it is what it is. That’s might just be how netflix is
Eh, I think it’s perfectly suitable as an abridged version of the books. Obviously the books have more details. There’s only so much you can adapt into a show. I will say, I like it way better than the chinese show.
@@Miguel-zp5un I can give you 1 example. In the book, the scientists and characters generally had completely different personalities. In the netflix show the people are like on a dating show like love island or something. OMG he doesn't reply me he doesn't love me, omg he's so immature. Like what the actual f. The real book portrayed so much senses of urgency, how busy these scientists were solving problems and etc.
You can see where that opening conversation was going 😂 damning the entire planet over little red riding hood🤯 it only gets worse from there😮

@@Miguel-zp5unYeah. As someone else pointed out in another thread, they seemed to be looking for a reason… The books suggest the plan had always been to invade and conquer.
