I pre-ordered the 27" M5 when it was made available in my country and I've been enjoying it so much. Works great as secondary display when I'm working during the day, and fantastic as a 'smart tv' during leisure time.

@@AX-fx7ng I don't have a computer capable of outputting a DisplayPort signal over USB-C (well, my laptop can, but I don't have room on my desk for it) so I don't know about that specifically. To my knowledge though I haven't seen picture-in-picture anywhere in the UI, though, maybe I just haven't looked hard enough. It's not a feature I use.
Been after a 4K ~32 inch monitor that had USBC for a few months, at about that price point. Saw an instagram advert, watched your vid and then bought it. Don’t know of anything with comparable feature set for close to this price point. Cheers!
hey i am new to this monitor world, i have got hp pavillion it has HDMI port and its FHD so if i get this monitor will i be able to connect to this monitor via HDMI and have no problems like distortion, and its more for office work use not gamin at all.
a couple of remarks for those who want to buy this monitor: 1. In EU version(that I bought) USB-C to USB-C cable is not included in the box 2. One of USB - A(there is 3 of them) connections on the back of monitor is not working as a HUB for your MacBook but it is a connection for anything u want to play directly with Samsung UI(like it is in any TV) - as a result there is only 2 USB - A connections for your periphery for PC or Mac
In my case none of them is accessible for pc connection when usb-c is connected . All 3 usb-a ports are available only within tizen system. Maybe it is a software bug , but I was not able to recover with hard reset.
Bought this monitor at Best Buy here in Toronto, Canada area. Worked great for three days and then went to use it and the screen did not turn on. In a dark room you could see that screen was trying to turn on but was unsuccessful. My region was currently under lockdown so I couldn't return/exchange it, so I called Samsung to do a warranty repair. Shipped out the unit and waited about 9 days for it to return. Got it back, set it up and within 5 minutes the screen issue happened again. Once again, packed up the monitor and sent it back to Samsung warranty repair centre. It's been about 11 days and I'm still waiting for the monitor to come back. Really wanted to like this monitor as it has features I haven't seen before but this is really unacceptable. My best bet is when I get this monitor back and if it still doesn't work, taking it back to Best Buy and seeing if I can get a unit that was manufactured at later date to see if they fixed the issue on the assembly line. At this point I would say buyer's beware.
Hi! Macbook Pro M1 user here. Also, my monitor does not include any usb c cable. It doesn't display anything when I connect it using my usb c charging cable from my Macbook M1. It only charges my Macbook but doesn't detect any display in usb c source. I also tried another usb c cable, no luck. Samsung support does not also know what is the problem. lmao HDMI is working with my hub but it defeats the purpose of using only 1 cable which displays the output and charges your mac at the same time.

There goes my hopes of using one as a bedroom TV (I use pay TV, so a DVB tuner isn't important to me), especially since the only Samsung TV model they offer here in the 32" size has that crappy "HD Ready" resolution (that's 1366×768, or WXGA). 250 nits is pretty standard for most 4k monitors around this price point. if you're looking for more, prepare to spend more $. i own it and am very happy with it. the brightness is more than sufficient for computer use and some netflix. i also have the samsung q90t in my main movie room...

I have Samsung SyncMaster 205BW. the reason i have it is because it is a 100hz monitor. When new Windows shows up it is stuck at 60 hz and they never made new drivers for win 7 and win 10. I will never buy Samsung again.
It's not a good monitor. The ones who say that it's a good monitor never have own a high end monitor. the picture is blurry (connected with HDMI), no contrast, whites are yellow...Impossible to work without being tired at the end of the day. I really don't recommend this "monitor" to work or to play. It's a TV and that's all.

7 mins can not do this device justice. I am using M7 43 inches. This monitor is mad. It is made for Samsung dex and laptop. I am actually typing with a bluetooth keyboard and mouse, connected to my monitor. connected to my note 10 via wireless dex and connected my sony headphone #Wh1000XM4 to both my monitor and note 10. My world is so much awesome. I love it. I can see my myself being productive with this monitor.
What specific type of USB C cable do you use to connect it to your Macbook, as I am having troubles of getting my to work, can only use it through airplay, which does not offer the highest resolution. Samsung does not ship a UBC C cable in my location.

Hi this monitor is the worst thing you can buy on games and I mean it really because I bought it and it's a terrible big mistake ... world of tanks, world of warcraft, world of ship and other games are visually more than ugly !!! NO IPS 60Mhz..actically bad M7, it's a terrible picture and 4k doesn't even reach..sound .. tin, just awful! In addition, the color setting constantly changes according to the light in the room so that it goes out for 2-3 seconds and seems to fall and starts to change the setting changes color, and when you play the game, it's awful. Good to the office (maybe) I really do NOT recommend anything much

I think this has VA screen panel. Not IPS. ;( Even though it does have a usb-C with displayport, it does not have a separate displayport connector Good if you want a cheap do it all kinda thing. I picked up an OPEN BOX version but it lacked the remote. I’m stuck at the choose your language and can’t get the command to answer with the single joystick option at the bottom of the monitor. Does it only work with the OEM remote?

Oh good grief. This is a computer monitor. It doesn't need "apps". It's connected to a computer that has every media application you could possibly want. I don't see anything special about this monitor, other than that it is excessively priced for features that you can get much cheaper with a higher spec'd monitor and a couple accessories.
I agree, although there should not be to much lag with airplay, since apple keeps a pretty high quality standard, which is why this is one of the first monitors to even support it in the first place. I’ve generally had very good experience with Samsung monitors.
Hi Tim, Thanks for the review. I am in Thailand and using the M7 monitor as well. Although all the functions seems working fine, only the USB-C connection to a MacBook M1 not working. There is no USB-C cable include in the box so I tried various 3rd party cables between the monitor and the MacBook and even USB-C on HP-Omen USB-C. The monitor recognized the connection but both computer couldn't detect the monitor. I only can use USB-C to HDMI converter cable to make it work. Do you have the same problem? If not, would you please share what USB-C cable or solution you did make it work. Thanks.

how color accurate is the screen? i mean i do (non business) Photography, and 3D modelling/animation.. so for me, its an issue if its not accurate enough...
In the 1210.5 sw version there is bug. Monitor is not able adjust screen illumination at right level and continously go from the lowest to the highest level. This is very annoying.

I heared that this monitor is realy realy good but not for heavy gamer. According to my friend he plays pc with this monitor for everty 8 hours traight and cooling it down for an hour only. After 1 it broken because of overheating.

Yeah.. It's a "smart" monitor so you get apps like on their TVs. Not that special really.. But nice apps to have built in from scratch.
All in ones are bulky and requira more power. But this monitor has higher refresh rate. But I think it's Samsung's marketing strategy.

Samsung always has a good pic quality. even on FHD monitor i am sure that they have good quality

You just have to keep the macbook on charging and then close it .

7 mins can not do this device justice. I am using M7 43 inches. This monitor is mad. It is made for Samsung dex and laptop. I am actually typing with a bluetooth keyboard and mouse, connected to my monitor. connected to my note 10 via wireless dex and connected my sony headphone #Wh1000XM4 to both my monitor and note 10. My world is so much awesome. I love it. I can see my myself being productive with this monitor.

What specific type of USB C cable do you use to connect it to your Macbook, as I am having troubles of getting my to work, can only use it through airplay, which does not offer the highest resolution. Samsung does not ship a UBC C cable in my location.

Hi this monitor is the worst thing you can buy on games and I mean it really because I bought it and it's a terrible big mistake ... world of tanks, world of warcraft, world of ship and other games are visually more than ugly !!! NO IPS 60Mhz..actically bad M7, it's a terrible picture and 4k doesn't even reach..sound .. tin, just awful! In addition, the color setting constantly changes according to the light in the room so that it goes out for 2-3 seconds and seems to fall and starts to change the setting changes color, and when you play the game, it's awful. Good to the office (maybe) I really do NOT recommend anything much

I picked up an OPEN BOX version but it lacked the remote. I’m stuck at the choose your language and can’t get the command to answer with the single joystick option at the bottom of the monitor. Does it only work with the OEM remote?

Oh good grief. This is a computer monitor. It doesn't need "apps". It's connected to a computer that has every media application you could possibly want.
I don't see anything special about this monitor, other than that it is excessively priced for features that you can get much cheaper with a higher spec'd monitor and a couple accessories.

I agree, although there should not be to much lag with airplay, since apple keeps a pretty high quality standard, which is why this is one of the first monitors to even support it in the first place. I’ve generally had very good experience with Samsung monitors.
Hi Tim, Thanks for the review. I am in Thailand and using the M7 monitor as well. Although all the functions seems working fine, only the USB-C connection to a MacBook M1 not working. There is no USB-C cable include in the box so I tried various 3rd party cables between the monitor and the MacBook and even USB-C on HP-Omen USB-C. The monitor recognized the connection but both computer couldn't detect the monitor. I only can use USB-C to HDMI converter cable to make it work. Do you have the same problem? If not, would you please share what USB-C cable or solution you did make it work. Thanks.

how color accurate is the screen? i mean i do (non business) Photography, and 3D modelling/animation.. so for me, its an issue if its not accurate enough...
In the 1210.5 sw version there is bug. Monitor is not able adjust screen illumination at right level and continously go from the lowest to the highest level. This is very annoying.
I’ve just bought this but stuck on WiFi set up as there is only 1 button under the screen which doesn’t allow me to select the WiFi and I’m not sure how I would type the password? Please help!!!
Is this recommended for pc gaming? I'm not a hardcore shooter type so I don't need more the 60fps.. But, I just font know since with a PC, all those apps are available 🤔 I DO have a galaxy S21 so there's extra functionality there.
I heared that this monitor is realy realy good but not for heavy gamer. According to my friend he plays pc with this monitor for everty 8 hours traight and cooling it down for an hour only. After 1 it broken because of overheating.

What's the text like On the monitor? Is it slightly blurry? I have the 34" ultra wide but whne I connect my apple the text is slightly blurry which is kinda annoying
For my Xbox One X I had to put the hdmi black level to normal because the shadow textures weren’t there!
This is very poorly designed. It's back is just like a mini TV.
