When you are a metal head who secretly loves 70's soul and disco, you come to this place to be loved and accepted for who you are! I know now that I am not alone.
This sounds like an actual duet between them! Like, he's asking the questions and she's answering them! The lyrics from both songs fit together so well!
Whatever you do for a day job, Bill or if you’re retired or whatever, I’m just so glad you find time for this. I hope it makes you as happy as it makes me. I’m loving these.
It’s like we’re finally getting both sides of the story. I Will Survive is a song of victory over someone that has needlessly broken your heart. But now we learn that it might not be so one-sided. Maybe Dio was hurt by the whole thing too. At least he gets to put his two cents in now. His interjections are “not-so-fast” responses to her accusations. As far as the animosity between disco and metal goes, that was more of a cultural thing going on at the time. There’s plenty of great music from both sides though. And metal is ultimately rooted in the blues. So everything comes together eventually.
Jason Clouse well, it did. Blacks created Hip Hop which eventually bled into metal with NuMetal and made some of the most famous, mainstream songs since the 80s
"Hey dude, I heard Gloria broke up with you. Sorry to hear it." "Nah, dude, *I* broke up with HER. Pssh. Good riddance." *sobs uncontrollably* "GLORIAAAAAA! COME BAAAAACK!"
Yes and the story continues. After Dio left - Gloria remained strong and spent most of her time learning how to love. But sadly - there was a lesson that she overlooked. She had a date with a wonderful man and after several dates - she moved him in to her apartment. In a cruel twist of fate - the new man was a psychopath and Gloria hasn't been seen since. Dio - hearing the news about Gloria decided that modern relationships are just more trouble than they are worth. So Dio took up Golf and he loved to go fishing. He enjoyed watching sports and movies on TV whenever he wanted. When he was not busy with his hobbies - he would go to the bar and have a good night. He never felt lonely because he too has become strong and enjoys his own company instead of being in a relationship and going through all the stress of disagreements, fighting and getting kicked out on to the street. He lived happily ever after.
