  • Visit FDR's favorite picnic spot on the highest point of Georgia's Pine Mountain and learn why he loved it so much. You can sit beside him and walk in the footsteps of a President so determined that he taught himself to walk even though he was paralyzed from the waist down.

Kenneth Branagh as FDR in the movie ‘Warm Springs’ is an excellent movie. Rural folks of that generation surely benefited from FDR’s policies as President. Thanks for sharing.

You are right, that is an excellent movie! FDR is responsible for many improvements that modern generations often do not realize, among them the electric coops, state parks, roads, improved rural public schools, county health departments, and more.

FDR was one of the best if not the best president , his vision, hope and energy to make HUGE reforms and progressive programs. He bought over 13,000,000 acres of land for Nation Forest and more as National Parks and monuments in the Eastern US where there was almost no public lands . It would be impossible to do that now because of cost and extreme hatred of environmental and conservation protection by the modern Republican Party .

It is well worth seeing and is just a short drive from the Little White House. You will really enjoy it, I think.

Hi Rachel - My husband, John Kirvan, who met you at the Hurricane Michael relief effort, sent me this video. I am a huge FDR fan and love Warm Springs - the Little White House and the Warm Springs Pool and Museum. We also loved camping in our RV at FDR State Park and enjoyed our visit to Dowdell's Knob. We also love the Pine Mountain area and attended an international water ski show at Callaway Gardens. Callaway Gardens was amazing. Thank you for sharing these great videos. I have subscribed to your UA-cam video channel. BTW - we have a friend who grew up in Two Egg, Florida! Curious? Is your channel named after that small town in the Panhandle? Her family name is Hamilton.

Hi Diane - Tell John hello for me! Yes, Two Egg TV is named for Two Egg, Florida. Our original studio is on the outskirts of downtown Two Egg. We have now developed a larger facility in Dothan, Alabama for our documentary firm. We love FDR State Park and the Pine Mountain area too. We were just back there last weekend to do more filming. We are developing our main streaming channel on ROKU and will soon premiere full-length films on Amazon Prime to go along with our Two Egg TV shorter ones. It is fun and has turned into quite the business for us. Thank you so much for writing! Rachael

@@TwoEggTV John says "Hello" Wow! It is a small world since Two Egg is such a small town that I would have never heard of if it hadn't been for Carol Hamilton who grew up there! How wonderful your You Tube video channel is growing and your documentary business. We would love to follow your channel and also the documentaries on Amazon. We just love Georgia State Parks and Army Corp of Engineer Parks too. On July 8th, we will be headed back up to Georgia with our RV in tow to stay at several Georgia State parks most sites being on lakes where we can swim and kayak. We are looking forward to it! Best of luck with your business ventures!
