The 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQE 350 4Matic Is A Posh & Pricey Midsize Electric SUV
Вставка
- Опубліковано 3 кві 2024
- The #MercedesBenzEQE originally started life as a midsize 4-door sedan with #MercedesBenz expanding the family to now include the #EQE350 in SUV and sedan form. Designed to be Benz's answer to a Tesla Model Y, this #MercedesEQE350 with 4Matic AWD gives you dual electric motors and up to 253 miles of range. You get the typical luxury features you expect from #Benz but a price tag that seems rather rich compared to some rivals.

90k price point and no rear heated seats or climate control...talk about being "futuristic".
I would never buy a Mercedes in my lifetime, I will buy an Audi or BMW before I even touch Mercedes😂😂
I’m happy in my prius 😂😅
@drgvrp_dashcamyeah a shane. Way different then what Benz used to be
No rear climate for 91k is truly shocking
Mercedes lost their touch if you ask me 🤷♂️
Nearly $100k for a sub 300hp vehicle is absolutely ridiculous!
If they sell then it's not ridiculous
@@gerry9306 its not selling
I don’t mind the exterior but I love the interior. However, for the money, the specs are not good enough. Needs more horsepower and range. It’s a big car I think the horsepower would be underwhelming and probably not impress anyone coming from a Tesla.
Would be nice to pick up used in a couple of years for your daily driver.
@@MolishiousDepreciation would hit it harder than even the usual Mercedes. Possibly in two years, you’d find them in the high $60k range
My mom has a 2024 EQE 350+ SUV and the range is actually crazy. On a full charge she routinely gets over 340 miles even though the EPA estimate is 307
The rims are nice but the car itself is UGLY! Looks like something a giant robot would shit out
Ngl 90k for this😂 someone should press charges against Mercedes 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂💯
Interior is tacky. Won’t age well.
…
…
You’re right. It didn’t.
Notice that giant plastic rear bumper for over $90K GTFOH
They might as well put a Spare Tire behind that three pointed Star badging.
It's huge.
I’ve just got one as a rental car in Houston and I am very impressed. Took a little while to get used to it at first, but in 10 minutes I was driving away with my tunes going and Apple CarPlay hooked up instantly 👍👍👍👍
So much nicer interior without the hyperscreen.
If the dealerships are sounding the alarms that these are not working out, something is wrong.
These are far too expensive, far too gimmicky, and frankly, not elegant in the way a Modern MB should be for this kind of range and pricing. Hard pill to swallow for something that will depreciate heavily so painfully fast. Much rather have the new EX90 or Polestar at that point, even just to lease.
Where are the EX90 or Polestar 3? Not yet available. I do agree they are more elegant. I don't even find the ICE Mercedes as elegant as some previous generations.
someone at mercedes actually said this
"why don't we take inspirations from this egg and design a car to resemble it" And they all agreed.
I don't care about aesthetics AT ALL in most cars.
But this looks like a 🤡clown car
They might as well put a Spare Tire behind that huge three pointed Star
lol this is so true
Same with the iX, which looks similar to this. Maybe they’re doing it on purpose.
looks like a really BIG Shoe!!
😅
ITS A SHOE!!!😂😂😂
lol. Even worse it’s like a Payless shoe at a Red Bottom price.
@@Jason-ml3vs 😂😂😭😂
Just wait two years and see this car being sold for $45k
MR ,MY TESLA MY TESLA ,MY TESLA MY TESLA
I would have to see it in person to be sure, but in the video it looks rather mini van like. Their interiors keep getting busier and busier, almost bordering on gaudy at this point. And I truly wish they would put the gear selector on the center console. I have a 2021 GLC and a 2020 AMG E53 Cabriolet and the gear shifter is the thing I dislike most about them.
I see literally no point for people to buy new cars. Always buy used. Gotta make these manufacturers and dealers aware we don't agree with these stupid prices
I can't imagine the market will bear it much longer.
I gotta say this car is amazing. I use to drive a Cayenne Hybrid. This car's cockpit and layout is well thought through and is a about as smooth a drive as I have experienced. The exterior lines are simple but elegant. Gotten a lot of unsolicited compliments ...... Depending on your need for speed this car has plenty of zip. Bottom line .... For the money I think I have more than gotten my monies' worth.
Mercedes version of the ford edge 😅
Nah, my Edge has heated rear seats. Lol
The 2024 350+ and the 500 4MATIC both have the new 96kwh battery, which should also boost their respective ranges by some miles.
Fell asleep looking at the design, zero personality.
How's your personality fella?
So round
The decision to disturb the sheet metal to create a mail slot for washer fluid refills rather than allowing the hood to be opened is a rather strange one. The car is already aesthetically challenged….
For the dash, actually, though that full screen would be "futuristic", I kinda prefer the nice wood grain.
I do as well but hate all the little stars on it.
@@benjaminsmith2287 That, I will agree with you! I'd prefer just the wood.
We need stop comparing things that are luxury to a mainstream car like Tesla.
Don't call it a wagon or hatch because if you do Americans will not buy it. Call it an suv or cuv and they will line up like sheep to buy them.
Call it ugly .........
All the comments ROASTING🔥this car lol! Merc def took an L with this one
This car reminds me of the Lincoln MKT
If you ever pound on the dash when someone cuts you off dont hit that info screen instead in front of the steering wheel.
Love the interior, hate the exterior.
the interior and driving experience makes you forget about the exterior
288hp, no hyper-screen for 91k lmao, plus it looks like a melted soap
Why do these car makers not make big good looking SUVs this is like a kids car
I would skip this car and go for the GLE 450E plug in hybrid. It looks so much better inside out and you can go electric only for almost 60 miles!
Hey, Sofyan if you are in europe, maybe you could show us some top chinese brand cars. even though not available here, for some of us would be really interesting your opinion and your impression about chinese cars.
I’m definitely in the minority here but I like the way this car looks inside and out
Pros:
1) The rear windows go all the way down
2) A sun roof that actually opens. A rare treat not found on 99% of EVs
3) Roomy nicely designed and appointed rear seat
Cons:
1) Running board
2) Fake exhaust
3) Haptic controls
4) Piano black
5) No spare tire
The fact that there's a part of the car the owner can't access is absurd. That understandable for a lease car, but not on something you would buy. "Getting used" to something is an excuse for accepting a poor design. Too bad German cars do no offer rear view mirror cameras. That's a feature the needed in every SUV. Since even an open view rear will eventually get blocked by a full load of passengers and/or cargo.
That price and just 253 miles of range? MB is just not serious now.
Why do people associate price with range? Mercedes has never been about fuel economy so why should they be about range?
@@benjaminsmith2287 cuz with EVs you're pretty much paying 70% of the price towards the batteries. Range anxiety does exist. And there's MUCH cheaper EVs with longer range than whatever this thing is.
@@arielmischa8136 It's not that high a percentage but yes, you're paying more for the battery. But here's the thing. When you buy a Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Volvo and some others, you're buying the engineering and safety features and longevity. You can buy nice cars with good numbers, better numbers even, but they aren't necessarily better built overall or show their worth over the years. So I think what goes into the price has to do a lot more than one feature like range. It has to do with engineering, build, features, refinement, stability, dynamic qualities, etc. Yes, some of it is just the name on the vehicle but there are other aspects like those I mentioned. Mercedes are strong, well-built cars that are very stable at high speeds and they do last. You may spend on a fortune on them, but they last.
@@arielmischa8136A lot of gas cars barely make it 250 miles on a tank though.
The Tesla charging adapter couldn’t get here fast enough…
The Toyota jacket looks really good.😂😂😂 Where can I buy one.
I am thinking of considering buying this EV.
Model X Plaid is 94k and has 1000hp. ❤
That’s way more than 18 cubic feet in the cargo area. Especially with that deep underfloor storage area.
Tesla isn’t selling more because people want them more. They are selling because they have the model 3 and model Y in that 50k+ range. More people can afford that. Mercedes in particular have a few problems. They’ current EV’s aren’t attractive and they are out of a lot of people’s range as far as cost. They need to release the C class and A class variant with a modified design to get excited about with cheaper pricing. This last comment I think needs to happen across all long existing car manufacturers. Limit you ICE engines and create more EV’s. Stop being scared! People fear change. If you give them the option, they will go with what they know! Audi and Porsche are doing it right. They are starting to make EV’s for every vehicle they have along side the IVE version. What you’re going to see after that is the fast decline of the gas models!
EQB starts at $52k. The 300 awd starts at $57k.
All those stars logo on the dash is so ticky!!
Those dumb door handles ruined it from the beginning 💀
that bllinker fluid door on the front left .....
I love that I'm one of the ones that thinks the styling is ok. Why? Cause it means they'll be hella cheap used next time I buy a car lol
90k? I’ll just get 2 Model y 😊
Seen a lot of news about Mercedes EVs catching fire as much as BYDs 😂
So, you can not open the hood even to look whats inside ?
The EQE has the most uncomfortable back seats I’ve ever sat in.
I’m over the start button. I mean what’s the point of that on an EV. The car should know I want to go when I get in the car
Cadillac Lyric, next slide please.
Wow!!! At that price and no massage, heated seats or a/c seats…overpriced!
Nice I need an ev to tow my lawn care trailer to various lawnjobsites.
Nice. Thx for your joke
Tesla gets about 80% of stated range. These are not listed on the list for tax rebate, not sure why.
I disagree on looks. Looks are subjective. I also like silver colors. It would probably serve you well to "tone down" the subjective evaluation of vehicles.
Seriously, for that money, I’d rather take 2 Rav4s hybrid and still have some change😂😂. Almost $100k and 220 mile range? Makes no sense
I mean they can still do the egg profile , just without the Ford Explorer looking front
I got one, it’s decent…not speedy like my Model Y P though..
Gorgeous interior, but I'm still not sure about the exterior design.
Tesla's never give over 200M range.
unfortunately, the Polestar 3, while better looking, has even less cargo room at 50 cu. ft. :(
Picture this:
eGV70 - 483hp, 250miles charge time ~18min charge time on a level 3 charger in 50+ weather deg temp
EQE - 283hp, 250miles
~30-40min on a level 3 charger
The eGV70 id $75K LOADED, this barely has anything compared to that and is 91K, much worse interior quality(I’ve been in both) and the EQE350 feels totally cramped inside while in the eGV70 you feel like you have a lot of space which you do! the seats in the EQE also in the GLC, C class all new gen, are the WORST seats I’ve ever sat in, they feel like a
wooden bench. It just shows how every reviewer is super biased towards the Germans because they don’t even talk about the negative points of these junkyard belonging vehicles. Why?
After looking at the specs, a hall of shame for Mercedes. All in all a cute toy for rich people who have a lot of money to throw away.
BTW wearing a Toyota jacket while doing a presentation of Mercedes, now that’s blasphemy. 😂
I guess if I make over million dollars and lease vehicles for business… then maybe 90k is okay price.
Yeah the Koreans and Chinese are gonna build something with the same spec and quality for maybe 35k. Don’t even start with the German quality especially in terms of MB, cuz they are really slacking on that in the recent years.
FUTURISTIC 90k $ with XL sized plastic diaber it's kinda funny and image treating it from time to time due to fading. Rav4 has a smaller one
Please address the actual superior mechanical safety structure that Mercedes has to protect its occupants. Most new cars have electronic safety features, but few have the actual safety structure (which also includes Volvo). This is the reason I drive an E-Class and have ordered a EQE SUV. This comparison is rarely addressed. I wonder why?
This is a disgusting piece of cash grab crap, and I feel bad for anyone needing to hawk it for a living
😮
I’m sorry that thing is horribly ugly inside and out especially that dashboard! It reminds me like a grandma’s couch or something..lol
no do not do like the gas version, have a look what China did with their design, looks so much better. Leave the ICE car design as is and EV needs to look better. In here AU, now you can't even configure EQE anymore, you just have to buy the inventory as they do not sell.
Electric cars don't make engine sounds 😭😭😭
Ah yeah the chinese ripoff Mercedes... Wait its actually a Mercedes 😂
What I want to understand is EV now been out at least 10 years. Why are we still making cars under 400 mile range. Like at min 350 miles should be the standard. Lucid has the tech for 500 miles so why on earth is Mercedes makes below 300 mile below 250 mile cars. Why not put in Research and Development before making such a sub par car. Range is the number 1 factor for a ev so why not continue to grow in that area. Again Lucid has proven that is possible in todays world to produce 400 mile cars.
The most annoying "feature" to me in unopenable hood with no frunk which ended up in other brands like BMW, Fisker Ocean, making all those unacceptable to me.
Overprice EV no thanks!
These names have got very confusing I can’t tell which one is which. Just buy a Tesla that is simple as simple can get.
Looks like a bun on wheels ....
Mercedes has REALLY lost the plot in the last decade, so sad to see (and hard to look at!)
they should rename Mercedes to vehicle , why does it look so generic? it looks like a blue Egg, Mercedes doesn't seem like they got the memo, look at Genesis, Range Rover, Lucid. those vehicles have Presence.
Joke of a car give me the Y
Get a Chinese byd
@@gerry9306might as well. And save the rest of the $ on a used AMG.
I hope the sells flock so badly on Mercedes all electric vehicles. This trash and the insurance want $600 a month just to insure the vehicle only to get totaled out. What a waste ! Then Mercedes doesn’t allow you to even open the hood of something you punched Gtfo
A bar of soap
Yeah, carving out name for themselves as the purveyor of extremely ugly electric cars they can’t give away. That tired cheap tablet glued to the dash gauge cluster and the gaudy star pattern on the dash are just awful.
Rather get a gle than this crap
Mercedes Benz “the best or nothing” 2020s definitely nothing.
Heavy, Slow, Ugly, too expensive, and not enough range. WTF Over?
Overpriced ugly car
With the AC on or other electronics this car, it will go maybe 200 miles in a full charge...what a bs for a car that almost costs $100k....😂😅
NO one wants this. Mercedes, EV aren't selling. Big flop!!!
No redeeming qualities. Ugly, expensive, underpowered, poor range and crap residuals. Winner! Please sign me up.....NOT.
Electric cars don't make engine sounds 😭😭😭
