It is only when you see side by side comparisons like this that you can really appreciate the amount of work that actually went into the remastered version. The game looks brilliant on Switch and how you "remember" it looking, but when you put it next to the original version it's like "woah the remaster looks a million times better!" Thank you for making this video
And people are still wondering why it's $30. I hate it when they compare the price to the T1 & T2 remasters. This game was a complete MESS to consider remastering, it's apples to oranges. And we should be thankful that we got one in the first place, instead, these people trash Night Dive for being greedy wtf.
@TheGamingChad. I will admit that when I saw the price at first, I did think it was high, but after playing the game myself and seeing comparisons like this, it's actually a steal. I even encouraged my brother to pick it up and gave him the money to do it. It is more than worth it.
I actually predicted at least $30. Night Dive is a much bigger studio than it was back in 2015 when they did T1, and T3 might sell worse considering even most Turok fans weren't aware of this game. $30 sounds as low as they could go tbh. Best $30 I've ever spent in my life, no doubt.@@Miketendo64
@TheGamingChad. Absolutely, I have heard of this game before but never really played it. By the time it came out, my family was preparing to move overseas, so different priorities set in. Still, like you said, this was not a straightforward port and so much as gone into this to make it the best possible experience it can be.
Beautiful! Nightdive outdid themselves on this one! I hope they do a Turok 4 retro style. They have proven that they understand the franchise, so now all we have to do is take it one step further. Purchased all three games on PC (Linux) and switch several times to show my support.
Rage Wars is also in the way before Evolution, it's unknown whether they're gonna remaster it or not, personally i don't care that much, but Evolution would be awesome.
I know they only remaster games but i really hope nightdive makes Turok 4 with these graphics, im not asking for ultra realistic graphics but a true sequel to this which they never made.
Fantastic! Thank you for this video. This shows that this is so much more than a quick and easy port. I just got it and love it! I hope we get this treatment for the multiplayer and I would love to see Rage Wars.
@@malcolmar remasters adds and remove stuff aswell that's pretty common and depends on the studios, I just replied to you for saying "quick and easy port"
@@ZA-7 Agreed! For some reason I was thinking you were saying it was just a remaster in the sense they just reskinned it with higher quality textures. You are right. This is a remaster done right. I would love to see what Night Dive could do with Turok Rage Wars or even Star Wars Shadow of the Empire.
They did a great job improving the small blurry stretched out textures to custom high def ones and updating the geometry. What video plugin were you using on your emulator?
I'm still processing how gorgeous this remaster looks and plays. Meanwhile, people are still moaning about the price. I really don't want these broke MF's to discourage Night Dive from moving onto Turok Evolution. They are currently facing a major backlash right now.

I still think it's the best $30 I've ever spent, it had the most obstacles in the way, they put more effort into it, and Night Dive is a much bigger studio that it was in 2015. So they gotta make profit too.
Nightdive did an amazing job, but Turok 3's biggest problem is the game itself and unless Nightdive expands upon the game and makes it more indepth it will always feel a bit rushed and lacking. Even with their improvements and additions, Turok 3 just feels short, fast, but big and empty in areas. You can tell there was much more that was suppose to happen during our playthrough. My feelings for the game hasn't changed when I first played it to when i just finished the remaster the other day. There is SO MUCH potential in Turok 3, and the entire Turok series and they have YET to be full explored to their apex. The 1st game is my favorite but Turok 2 is the best overall compared to 1 and 3, seemingly having the best of both titles while 3, still a good game, feels like it takes the weaker of the three. When playing all Turoks, especially 3, you just want MORE you want to see MORE you want to have MORE. I would commend Nightdive, or any brave Developer, if they attempted a true Turok 4 that would continue after Turok 3's cliffhanger but I do fear some modern devs care way too much about virtue points than actually making a fun adventure.
Who cares about 2008, and what are they supposed to remaster? It's a relatively modern game, and they may not have the rights to do so, it's not by Acclaim. Turok 3 needed a remaster the most. And Rage Wars won't sell well, so it might not be beneficial for a remaster. The only Turok left would be Turok Evolution.
Not only is it garbage, it's not even an Acclaim Studios game, making the whole licensing thing another major obstacle. It's a waste of time, it's never going to happen. And nobody really cares. However, Evolution, which is owned by Acclaim, has a lot more customers on the line, and Night Dive owns the Turok gaming rights, so the chances of getting an Evolution remaster are definitely high!@@Mr.Machiavelli

Yes please, compare the underwater areas of the Lost Junkyard and the planecrash with the original and the boss fights. 😊
Thanks

Noticed that PC version has bouncy boob physics in cutscenes but not on the Xbox version.
