Hi, this is very helpful! But I also got confused being all "2". I need to do a hatch for a 9x72 wood plank staggered flooring. I got to do the rectangles, but when I try to do the staggered portion.... it didn´t work. How would be the string to it? 0, 0,0, 72,9, 72,9 90, 0,0, 0,72, 0,72 I feel absolutely lost! Many tanks in advance.

Thanks for the explanation. I think it would be more illustrative if you didn't use only "2" for the dimension, it gets a little bit confusing having the same lenght and offset all the time.
For those who may be having problems, verify that you have typed everything exactly as is shown. You can then make your corrections, but in order for autocad to take those corrections I had to first close and reopen autocad. Then it worked fine... It was driving me nuts...!
Weird question maybe but I'm honestly having a bit of a hard time figuring this out. Is there a way to create a hatch pattern consisting of lines that is spaced differently? Let me explain, I'd like to make a hatch pattern for systematic walls. To do that I'd need the first line to be 600mm from origin and the second to be 660mm from origin. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong but I just can't seem to figure out how to format the Hatch code to make this work. Could somebody maybe help and explain?

Nice job. It helped me to realize that the x, y coordinates of the second row of lines began where the first line ended (rather than form the origin).

At 4:50, how did your box get selected and the hatch be placed? My boxes are not being selected at that stage at all. Please suggest

You can create a block with desired dimensions of ellipse and use it in superhatch command.

What if there is no offset gap, as in a rectangle or square? Did you by mistake put a period in place of coma for the diagonal line? The third line.
You too spotted it :D, I think yes, that is why the diagonal line did not match the earlier pattern!
