I came to this channel only recently , so have seen a great deal having been achieved in the restoration . It’s good to see what you have done , and it is even more astounding now I know where you began ! You have very strong spirits to believe you could restore this crumbling interior and the grounds as well . You certainly are very special people , and deserve every good thing .

I'm a newbie here. I found your channel when you cleared the front area. Awesomeand beautiful house.
But it will take a lot of work to make it liveable ! But it will be awesome.

This looks like a place with a huge potential.
Seemingly it has been owned by an old farmer couple, the place hasn't seen any renovation since the 1970's judging by the style of decoration and pure functionality of everything.
Anything which you can think of has to be done inside, starting with new electrics, plumbing, insulation and heating, before any thoughts about decoration can be made.
But the skeleton of the house looks very sound, with a lot of nice original details.
Try to keep all the original doors, windows, shutters and also the floor tiles in the entrance room, even of you have to lift them to make a new floor underneath.
Also keep the oldest barns which were originally built with the house, and take down the others, the asbestos roofs have to go anyway, I think Belgium does subsidise the removal like in the Netherlands.
I subbed to follow this adventure, because this is no less!

I’m so intrigued! Do you have a video where you explain how you came to purchase this farm and what you intend to do with it? I have so many questions! What happened to all of the stuff that was in the pictures? Was someone living there when you purchased it? I’m so excited to watch this adventure! Blessings from Minnesota in the US.

Its going to be a huge amount of work but it will be a beautiful home when finished. Having built and remodeled homes I can say the amount of personal satisfaction that one gets after seeing the results of all their sweat equity is well worth it. Kitchens and bathrooms have always been the most work. Never get discouraged.

I have to tell you you are living my dream! I subscribed immediately. This farm is delightful and thank you so much for sharing your restoration of it with the public. Love the idea of turning the milking house into a greenhouse - Genius! And the bakehouse! Wow! I hope you can get it cleaned up and working again, it looks like it is in incredibly good shape! Are those pastures also yours? What a wonderful setting for animals or gardens! There was a great deal of investment into this farm at one time, as I am sure you guys can appreciate, someone really loved it once. I am so looking forward to seeing what you do with it. Thank you again for sharing this experience with us!

It’s quite possible that someone looked out that window @9:04 during WW2 and saw troops & armour, either German or Allied.
In fact the house itself may have been occupied by soldiers at some point if there was fighting nearby.
Maybe the First World War also, the house would have been less than 10 years old during that war. Fascinating place.

wow, the inside looks very good considering how worn and weathered the exterior looks. Now that you have the yard cleaned up you can pull in your car under the roof. That will be great. Brick ceilings inside? I have never seen that before. The kitchen will be entirely changed as well as the bathroom.....lots of work ahead but you don't seem to be afraid of hard work. I am surprised the electricity is still working. Make sure the roof or walls don't leak. Then repair and update wiring, plumbing and heating. Then finally you can remove paint from doors and woodwork inside while your kitchen and bath are redone. Update flooring and dry wall. Take it one day at a time. Once you can set up a few rooms where you can temporarily live, then you can work on the house all the time when you are not doing your day jobs. If you watch Farmhouse Vernacular on YT you can see how a couple from Kentucky USA are renovating their 1905 farmouse.

Charming house from outside but very old and lots of small rooms inside. I would open up the living dining and probably the kitchen as well. Put huge glass windows and foldable glass wall that opens up to garden. Open concept. Not much architectural details to make it pretty. Weird ceilings.

Thanks Nik, that’s pretty much what we have in plans, yes. The main building we won’t rebuild. But the kitchen was added later and is in former barn. That’s why so small. And the ceiling out of bricks is very typical here in sheds. It will be in the second phase of the project - rebuild the barn.

Interesting prospect. Do one room at a time. Otherwise, house will be demolition site and become depressing. Keep your chin up, drink lots of hot tea, eat crumpets often. You'll be fine. May G_D be with you...e

OK, so if this is Episode #5, where are the #1-4?
Anyway, I wonder what gave you the courage and strength to buy this house. Such a sorry state, almost crying for help or to be put out of its misery.

Most are poor and cannot buy or give help. Here are people, who get about 6000 euros month and have debts to pay. I wish you good luck and pray.

Very interesting and want to watch, but you need to speak up a little bit louder. I could hardly hear you and I have excellent hearing. lol It is going to be beautiful, once again, when you get finished.

I liked to see inside all. You perhaps could make motel, a cheaper place than hotel, where less rich could come and have bed and breakast night or more nights, if you like.

A lot of false ceilings. Should be interesting to see what the original ceilings are made of and what condition they are in. Once you mitigate the the leaks, you will have won a big part of the battle.

Great, love the glass above the main front door and the old 1930s light switches, are the baker-lite ?
Lovely old interior doors and fireplace, lucky you.

А бани или аналога ей нет? Эта ужасная ванная и всё? Есть банька в планах? Кстати это здание с печью под баньку просто просится. На верху комнату для отдыха и раздевалку а внизу парная с моечным.
