When you wrote that the old shed was dangerous, you were not kidding. Those walls were ready to fall over in a strong wind! Glad neither Illia nor anyone else was injured during the destruction. Thanks, again, for an entertaining video.

I have been thinking about you and your family in Ukraine. My father’s family comes from Ukraine and they fled to the US when the village priest finally convinced my grandfather that the Russian army was coming to conscript him. My great uncle had already been conscripted and was shot as a traitor when her refused to fire on ethnic Ukrainians. My grandfather had put all their money down as a deposit to purchase a farm in Ukraine and couldn’t get the deposit back. My grandmother went and talked to the seller’s wife and came back with the deposit so her family could afford ship passage. My grandmother was very, very brave and the whole family came to the US and my grandmother was in her 2nd trimester of pregnancy with the baby who would become my father.
As I looked at Ilya today I started to cry thinking about the bravery it took for him to venture out to locate family from the Ukraine to rescue family and friends. I am so proud of you all and my own heritage.I wish you much success and hope.

I think that most of us appreciate the extra effort it takes for you to continue to put out these videos when your heart is with your family and your other home, Ukraine. Being the birth place of all my ancestors, I do wake up these days with a sick feeling, and thinking, "Is this evil invasion real? Can the people of Ukraine wake up and hear that the violence has ended?" This is what I am praying for with all my heart. There is a new reality for you and your family now, and our hearts and prayers are with you.
I am glad that some of your family is with you and the children are happy. The positive energy of your hard work together will be helping in some way to sustain you all day by day.

Moving belongings, furniture, materials and in my own project huge amounts of soil is the most time consuming part indeed.
But good to see your family safe there, they can help you with building something up instead of seeing everything being destroyed.
Most important is that they are in a place where they can live without fear, even if it's very difficult for them being in a unfamiliar place where they don't speak the language.
The shed was clearly past its sell by date, that wall was standing loose on its foundation.

I am enjoying watching you transform the old farmhouse into your new home.Thank you for the joy that you bring to your subscribers. And god bless the people of Ukraine fighting the dictator of Russia.I spent 2 weeks in a port city outside of Odessa back in the 70s and spent 3 days in a hospital there. everyone I met in the hospital said that they liked Americans but they didnt like American politics. I am American and I dont like politics either. And that is Russias problem they are not happy unless they are in full control. Its sad to know that the people are the ones that suffer because of the decisions of its leaders. We all want peace Nobody wins in war. Stand With Ukraine.

I'm glad to see a few family members working togheter. For them it is giving back some help to you and also they find it a pleasure to do something with the time. Perhaps they will forget the sorrows for a while. It's better to being busy than doing nothing special during the days they are in Belgium. (And you started with the guest room , although they are now not guests.)

Ilya! Your English improves in every video you make! Not only do your relatives have a safe place to be until this crisis passes, but they are able to take their minds off their troubles and help your family reach your personal goals. With all the shells of outbuildings you have on the property, I would not be surprised to see a little guest house there some day so family can come stay when/as they need to. Please stay safe and thank you for continuing to share your journey with all of us.

Its heartening to see your relatives being able to help you out already, so soon after the trauma they have endured. Perhaps they find a sort of mindfulness in working on these physical tasks, which allows them to switch off for a short time? You are both looking worried & tired. Those of us who are safe in our countries can't imagine what you must be feeling & I hope that you too can lose your worries as you progress through your wonderful project. 🇺🇦
