Could he not have ended the combo early once he hit 8 storm for lethal on tendrils by tutoring it to top of deck and then casting mind's desire for 9, tendrils for 10?
So, this is why WOTC decided to dick around by having so many different formats and ban lists for each format...? Buddy, I've got to say... I've built some pretty damn "busted" (or what everyone else I knew called "shattered-OP") decks. But this... ... the only question I've got, here, is about the consistency of that build. Given all the randomness I see on the screen, I'll be surprised as Hell if I find out that you can get a hand *like that* every game. Still, though... *WTF did I just see, there? That's about as bad as a combo I built, just for the sake of "breaking the game".* I built the combo ten years ago, and *still,* today, anyone who sees me pull out that deck refuses to play.
The thing that everyone here finds so exciting is exactly the reason I despise this format. It's all fun and games until the game is over before it started, then it's boring.
@@finnical9718 Turn 1 kills are exceedingly rare. Numot has 2 in the past 5 years. I've had 3 ever, and they all involved black lotus into Yawgmoth's Will. Turn 2 happens more often, but even then, I've had maybe 15 or 20 total in thousands and thousands of cube drafts. Yeah, it kind of sucks when it happens to you, but the chances of getting completely shut out of a match are very low.
@@josephmozena7640 You misunderstand. I think they are boring to perform on an opponent as well. I honestly, genuinely, prefer drawn out draft games where walls of creatures are bouncing off each other. Vintage is still enjoyable to me part of the time, so I still watch the videos from it because most are good.

Mind's Desire shuffles the deck prior to revealing the top card so unfortunately that wouldn't work
