This was super helpful! My boys had been wanting to color their hair, but I was worried about the bleach aspect. Thanks for making this accessible and helping mom save $200!
I love the color you used, it looks really good. This video was super helpful. I watched it to know what to do, then again at Sally’s to make sure I got the correct stuff, then again when I was home to dbl check. Lol because it was short & to the point, it was very helpful. Also your son is so adorable!!!
Manic panic is a pretty good brand. His hair is teal because the bleach did quiet lift his hair light enough . There were some brassy orangey tones. But the tips turned out awesome. Love the bright color! Hair was light enough a more vibrant color. Just think of the color wheel. It turned out awesome on him. The color compliments his skin tone.i went to school for cosmetology years so ago. I do my kids hair at home. I just rinse in cool water ( as cool as they can bare) until the color barely rinses off in the water and use a color conditioner to help it stay. Sally's also has a color deposit shampoo to keep the color intensity. I haven't tried it yet though. Great job though!
I love the hair it is so blue I am going to get my hair dyed when I'm eight cuz I'm seven and my mom said I can get my hair red and white it is going to be so cool
I just bleached my 6 year olds hair. He was screaming like something hurt so I rinsed it out and now its all uneven. His dad is convinced I dont know what I'm doing. It looked really effective tho. Like his hair is dark and it lifted the dark color. I rinsed it out. Shampooed and put in the red color.
Super cute, with his hair being so dark if you had let the bleach just a little longer to where it wasn’t the yellow brassytones it’ll pull a darker blue. I don’t know if he wanted a darker blue or not I just thought I would throw that out there. But I love it either way
please make sure for everyone who is doing this that even mixing to 35 volume developer is too strong for a lot of kids skin, and the hair if your hair isnt dark brown or darker, I would strongly recommend 30 volume or 25 volume as any more that will melt the hair
Oh and I was told to add 10 developer 1 to 1 ratio to the color I choose, it turned out great with that, it’s supposed to keep it from washing out faster
Sally Beauty Supply is a good place for all of this, they have brushes, bowls, they have manic panic, and i would use the wella bleach powder with 20 volume or 30 volume developer so it doesn’t irritate the skin too much :) you can find all of the supplies at Sally Beauty OR your local beauty store

me next month cause i am 11
I'm 13 Andrew I'm currently bleaching my hair lol
You should always bleach the ends first and then do the root because the heat from your head makes the root process much faster than the ends.
This was so helpful! And he's the cutest. 😊💙

i love the color and haircut i want that style haircut but i don't know how to describe it to my barber
I tell the barber to give him a “high fade. 0 to 1. And leave the top long so it can be combed to the side.” Hope that helps you! :)

My son wouldn’t let the bleach sit because his scalp is sensitive but now it’s orange. Will blue work or will it turn it green?
it will turn out green/blue
You’re doing it professionally
Wait but where do you buy your manic panic and can it be bought online and which bleach should I use for 12 year olds and where to get the brush
Can I use a normal brush for painting?
