I'm not even that big of a fan of "friends" i played my game pretty solitary, it was always annoying when i got with other people. Id love for them to have had some kind of hunting thing similar to the mystery and capin islands rather than having to depend so heavily on people that we don't even want to interact with.
I feel so awkward trying to interact with others in the game, even if I know the person. I traded some things with my one friend, but I ended up going to Nookazon to finish collecting all the fruit.
if we could rotate things diagonally that would be nice. also the diys and like the rate that new ones appear would also be good. all i get is the same ones over and over :/
Yes they need some kind of mechanism for minimizing repeats. DIYs are the biggest issue but also clothes and other items. I understand there being rare item but someone tell me how I've seen the royal crown multiple times but still have never found the camo shirt that I've wanted forever?
One I would add is make more items more interactive. A perfect example which the game already has the mechanics for is the soccer ball. It’d be so fun to be able to kick it around like we can with the snowball.
Yes, and now that they’ve added vehicles like bikes and cars, why not be able to use them too? And we have arcade machines nintendo let us use them for minigames!!! I wanna ACTUALLY buy a drink from the drink machine on my island etc
Bigger island, the ability to move resident services, to add at least 5 more villagers, the ability to edit our peninsulas, God there's so much Nintendo can do
Totally agree! THE DIALOGUE is something I really wish would be enhanced, adding more personalities and maybe even having the opportunity to DO more with your villagers. Maybe they can offer villagers that have JOBS, kind of like in HHP where you can assign hospital staff, store staff, maybe Normal villagers can write stories, maybe Jock villagers could have health/gym/yoga classes, Peppy villagers could host themselves performing once in a while instead of just going to birthday parties. I'd love to see more freedom in customizing the vibe of your island through what villagers you choose and more buildings you can add (or exclude)!
Maybe being able to move resident services or choosing different designs for the museum ,shops etc, having leif and kicks on the island permanently like Harv's island. Bigger nooks store so you get more new items every day, even the cabinet it limited,id like to see things in there you may only get from HHP.
I would love the option to have multiple islands per console. My niece was on my first island, but when I deleted that (because I had overworked it so much that I hated it) I told her I wanted to just have the second island to myself. If she could have her own island on my Switch to do with what she wanted that would be great.
The ability to build scaffolding outdoors so we could use wall-hung items outdoors would be good. And the ability to use rugs outside! How can I have my hippie bonfire party on the beach without being able to put down a Moroccan rug?
Being able to place buildings sideways and diagonally, so we can have proper horizontal roads. Custom paths that make a noise. More shops! It's impossible to collect all the items just by going to Nooks.
I agree with so much of what you’ve said. Here are a few things I’d like: * ability to place items diagonally * fences 1/2 square thick, so we can push items up next to them * app on the Nook phone so we can close the gate from anywhere on the island * ability to thank my villagers and npcs for gifts * option to ask Blathers if any of my villagers are in the museum * ability to color on our hair (I have dark hair which is changing very slowly to gray; I’d like to be able to draw gray/white streaks into my hair) * shopping cart in the changing room * access to view what I already own while in the changing room * clothes in the changing room labeled with the color (I’m color blind, so shopping outside of the app is tough for me) * the ability to customize every item I craft from wood the same colors; why can I customize some with light, dark, white, cherry and others only natural, blue, pink, etc? * the option to tell Wilbur to take me to another mystery island from the mystery island I’m on instead of having to go back home first * a Nook Miles Ticket dispenser in the airport * ability to buy NMTs in bulk! Those are a few big ones for me. But I still do love this game with all my heart. ❤
I would love to see new biomes, like you said, Lex. In the intro to the game, they could give the player options between a jungle, a sea side village with the landmass half sand half actual ground, a city/town or moutains. Or even give a map and randomly choose between one based on the map. And the ability to choose how many villagers we get. The amount can be set after choosing a map. The NPC gives dialogue and based on the answer you give, you get a range of villagers you get to place.
I wish they would remove the invisible grid placement of all the items, and give us some sort of “advanced placement” where we can basically place any objects exactly where we want and rotated in whatever direction we like, even allowing items to clip through eachother so u can make really detailed areas because there’s nothing worse than trying to put something in an area it doesn’t want to go in even though there’s plenty of space for it.
I'd love to see a legitimate city setting at some point instead of "same setting with additional tiny mall strip". That doesn't count. I'm talking about a place with many buildings that you can have involvement in making and choosing what their purpose is. It would be a big contrast to the other games, yeah, but if you ever get tired of the city life, there could always be an extra area like a forest or a beach for you to do typical Animal Crossing things. Maybe you could choose which locale to live in, and switching between settings could be a major part of the game (i.e. catching bugs and fish so you can fill up the museum in the city, gathering resources necessary for building things, different villagers in each area, etc).
Being able to completely design the island without having to hoard loads of stuff or having to go to Treasure Islands. There should be a game setting and a design setting. Being able to have more than one save slot so you can keep an island you love and create a new island without losing the old one. Being able to move rocks easily. Being able to put stuff on the 3rd layer! More design slots for floor, and an easier way to place them When designing, a copy and paste option with a rotate option and edit option. So creating floor pieces that slot together is easier.
I'd love more minigames, like working in a Cafe or restaurant (just like New Leaf) and then cook and make drinks for your villagers (I NEED strawberries and I wanna make a strawberry cake in this game so bad haha). And I mean like in the game Coffee Talk. Maybe also steaming the milk (timing mini game?) and make some cute Latte Art for your villagers. Or you have to get ingredients for the Cafe/restaurant. Or a rhythm game in which you make music together with your villagers or friends? It would be amazing to have the option to have different options for a working place. How about selling flowers or/and make flower bouquets in Leif's flower shop? Or making furniture (just like now in NH) for Reese and Cyrus? Planning KK's concert on your island/in your town? Maybe for these mini games you don't earn bells but special points you could use for special items? Or you could decide whether you want to earn bells or these special points?
For a game on a handheld console, New Horizons is nothing to sneeze at; I know work went into it. >v< Still, and this is a niche thing, but one thing I really hoped they would do was make it to where bridges could be placed spanning from one cliff to another... having underpasses/overpasses would have been magical and would have added that much more variability to island navigation layouts.
Yes! I was thinking about this yesterday about how nice it would be to interact with items more, such as being able to use showers and bath tubs, maybe even having a health bar.
id love it if we could change the style and color of the non-home buildings. they could make a selection of styles to choose from like they do houses. that would help them to fit in with different themes of island. alternatively it would be cool to have new buildings like the ones in happy home paradise. it could even be linked to a hhp dlc the way partitions are, like playing the dlc gives you the option to build these buildings on your island. i would love to have a little cafe there with villagers working inside...they could even be a sort of hub to meet new villagers on your island, like the campsite.
I wish that if you break a rock, and then plant a stone, a rock would grow where you planted the stone the next day! So you didn’t have to fill up every tile just to put together a rock garden
Being able to plant something that grows into a rock is an awesome idea! Much better to be able to decide where it should go rather than depend on random chance.
I never hear anyone talk about this, but I miss constellations. In Wild World, Celeste would get her own observatory, and you could use the telescope to connect stars and form constellations, which you could name, and which would then be visible when you went outside at night. I want that back. Also, when you're trying on clothes at the Able Sisters, it would be nice to have a little icon to tell you whether you already have that specific item in that specific color in your catalogue already. I get tired of having to leave the dressing room and go into my catalogue just to check whether I have something before I buy it. Also also, and this is a minor thing, but one of the civic projects you could build in New Leaf was a totem pole. I'm Alaskan, and I was looking forward to having totem poles as an item that I could just place around my island. But there aren't any. I'm still annoyed about that.
I agree with everything you said! I hope with a new one, they listen to the community and continue updates for a long time. I loved this game so much, but it feels like they abandoned it way too early on. I’d also love to be able to place things diagonally and be able to move the camera around outside like you can inside.
here are some of my wishlist items: - the ability to change both your island's name and your villager's name - either multiple islands/console or the ability to back up save files on your computer - at least 10 personality types (so you could possibly avoid having repeat personalities) - faster loading times and general performance improvements - stronger light sources (streetlamps feel so weak rn) - cleaner airport and museum experiences (love ya orville, but i got places to be) - the ability to terraform beaches - the ability to move resident services and the airport
-Having like a booth in Nook’s Cranny where we send furniture to Reese to customize and delivered back to us the next day would be so helpful. I go to Harv’s island daily to get stuff customized and the wait between screens is so annoying. -Once every few weeks I’d love to buy a DIY recipe from Nook’s Cranny too that I don’t already have. -Being able to buy many shirts or pants or shoes at the same time from Abel Sisters in the changing room would make life easier too. -When going from room to room in the homes I wish there wasn’t loading screens either. -An actual post office would be so cute. Send presents, cards, pickup mail and buy a few little items from them would be fun.
I desperately want to be able to save multiple different dream addresses for a single island without having to restart and to be able to visit all those DAs without needing a second Switch. Then I could redecorate and rebuild as many different themes as I want and I could always dream them to relive them.
I love your idea of having an optional creative mode. I would definitely still have my regular island, but imagine having it like a spin off of HHP or working for Tom Nook where you get to go design other islands?? It would be such a hit!
I would love if they made it so that once your island is fully decorated it doesn't lag. I feel like I need to compromise what I want to do because the lag is so bad if I have 15 castle walls up for example. I feel like the game should be able to support all the items they give us once they're placed on the island or else like what's the point of having all those cool items
we need to be able to change buildings to be able to to turn them and be able to angle the building and be able to customize each building and be able to move the plaza. we would love to be able to have more stairs and bridges and be able to put the cliffs as different sides of them so we can customize the cliffs
I really wish that the DIY recipes would not be allowed to repeat until you have them all. I have just restarted my island and I am already getting doubles. And I think it would be really cool to be able to purchase and design/customize more buildings, such as a cafe or school like in HHP only for your island/town. And it would be nice to be able to customize buildings like Nooks or Able sisters, even if it was just changing the colors :)
More customizable spaces at least doubled the amount of it helps with decorating. I hate having to use the same ones over and over . It will give more opportunities for unique spaces
I was thinking the exact same thing like just last week. I called it New Frontiers. Because, New Leaf is like a small personal change. New Horizons is bigger and brought more control and more freedom. New Frontiers would be the next logical step. Our own planet. Maybe we could change our biomomes. And even more customization.
The player-made furniture items made me think of the mechanics in the old mysims games! The game was mostly based on making your own furniture for others, I think it could work if we had a little workshop or something to be able to do that! It had blueprints and you didn't have to go exactly by them, you just had to fill the crucial points to make it "count" - like a chair for instance, you couldn't build something right where the character would sit etc, I think it would work really well!
I definitely would like a bigger island, like easily twice the size of what we’ve got. I really enjoy decorating and I like making different areas, but they feel too close together. Also, bulk fruit eating and bulk creating/custom designing would be nice! I know we have plenty of items, but I really would like to have more; I’d love a swing set that would actually work, and I’d love to be able to ride a bike around, things like that. It just sounds so appealing to me! :) I like the idea others are saying too of advanced placement, where the grid goes away and you can slide items right in wherever you want, especially when they very clearly would fit. It would be nice for things to fit more flush against each other.
I think a mountain place that we have a lake and ponds. We could travel to a town or the beach. Though I do like the idea to be able decide what type of place you would want and have the plant’s that go with it. I wish we could decorate outside like we do in hhp at least.
I want to be able to see things from all directions outside like you can inside your house. And be able to go to a design mode when placing things outside so placement can be more precise. I want to make another level or two when building cliffs. I want to be able to put rugs down outside. I want to be able to put wall hangings on the wall partitions. I like all your suggestions.
I would love more then 10 villigars also to choose your setting...like town, Island etc...I don't have Nintendo online and Its a pain without good Designs to try makin a City Island.
Would love to see a sim-cityish version in the next game. Have the opportunity to build more buildings, build things like theme parks, zoos, gardens etc.. Probably would love to see them utilise the villagers more. Being able to hire them as staff, builders etc..gain income by them via taxes. Have other villagers as tourists where they interact with items more (have them ride rollercoasters, play games etc..). If the next animal crossing coincides with the next switch release - I reckon there's so much potential there
You may have covered this (unrelated) topic before, but when you start a new island, what is your process for designing spaces? Like, I love that elevated farm area - did you draw anything out on paper first when you started this island? Jot down concepts you wanted to experiment with? I just feel like like I get overwhelmed by all of the empty space, or I'll get 1/2 of the way into a space build and realize that it was 1 tile too far to the right or whatever and I get discouraged. Any planning tips you might have would be most appreciated!
i do sometimes draw things, yeah! i made this video explaining my process if you’d like to see :) ua-cam.com/video/agWC_jnu3T0/v-deo.htmlsi=_Xnfip193f_0sSsr
I went from playing Wild World to New Horizons, and it's a little detail but I miss being able to buy letter sets. I loved writing my villagers back in WW, but because I have to hike all the way to the airport to reply in NH instead of pulling up a letter from my inventory I keep forgetting to reply or what my villagers wrote by the time I get there :( Having an option to either write a letter at the airport or buy the papers for later would be great! I also miss the sassy villagers and NPCs, Phyllis grew on me over the years XD
i would love if they had a mode where decorating your island didn’t affect your island score, but filling the museum and building shops on the island raised your island score. they could make the mode where it’s as if you were playing the game but it’s kind of like minecraft (as you said), where you can play in some version of “survival” and some version of “creative.” it would also be convenient if you could change whenever you’re playing the game. in the creative type mode everything’s available to you, but in the survival type mode only what you’ve collected/bought/found/received (via friend or villager) is available.
The wall and ceiling items are especially lacking. It’s a new thing though, as no other game had them before, but I’d love to see more items anyway. Like for ceiling items, a plushie hammock and different lights. Wall items like a calendar or bigger shelves. Kitchen cabinets? Please!
I'd like villagers to kind of go back to how they were in the original game and maybe have a multiple Island Style option where you could have a forest, tropical, or city aesthetic.
Honestly, in ac HHD on the 3ds...i want all those house customizations back! I miss my castle!! 😭😭 Also all of the Gracie items 🥲 I'd like it if they added another island like Harvs, where it's a specialty shopping district that has the Gracie store, and possibly add in some old NPCS who didn't make the New Horizons cut 🥲
Imagine this: A new animal crossing game. "Animal Crossing Neighborhood". Tom Nook buys a huge plot of land between 2 cities. He hires you to help him and Timmy and Tommy build it up and get people to live there. You can place plots for buildings and park areas. It's 3×s bigger than an island. You can build houses, apartments, stores, and a hospital, maybe like 3 other building types. The apartments were my first idea for a new game. You create the layout of each room, up to 5 rooms or so. Characters move in, bring in their preset room builds, and live their lives. A mix of hhp and normal ac, all to build up a Neighborhood. DLC/Paid content: HHM (Happy Home Makeover) is a GO ride (like an uber or lyft) away, where you makeover houses in different cities! It's run by Lottie, Wardell and Niko, in a spot between cities. Learn new reactions, get new haircuts, and you can drive?! First person type, you can drive on set out roads in your neighborhood! You can add parking garages to houses and buildings, and 2 parking lots! Your neighbors can drive around too! ....questions and additions and anything else are welcome.
I think they should bring back the swimming to a random person's island feature, but just make it so you can't steal anything. The idea of visiting a random island was a cool concept and they need to bring it back.
For the advanced terraforming, I would love to be able to add or remove rivers that feed into the ocean. Definitely wish the terra tiles were 1/4th the size they are for more curves, any paths laid with the construction hat to be non kick-erased.
Resetting to your Start Layout Map when you terraformed and you don't like it, so being able to reset to your Start map would be so great, cus i wished it would be an option in NH.. Minigames, and more interactions with Items and Villagers. More quests more to do. And of course more Furnitures, Clothes etc.
I want more plants, I was really enjoying collecting all of the flowers and then I googled and realised there’s only 9 different types… I know you can get different colours but I just wish they’d introduce way more variety. We could have exotic plants from islands we visit… also a garden in the museum would be cool, so you can donate cuttings of rare plants you’ve found or grown 😊
I would love to be able to build an incline or bridge and be able to put a custom design on it. Also bulk buying and crafting items. Different biomes and more than one island/town/whatever we can customize would be amazing.
Sandbox mooodddeee!! I only play for decorating and hate how long it takes to terraform and gather items, please give us the option to opt out of the farming/fishing/material gathering aspects. Can we skip going back to the airport in between each mystery island, have the option to do multiple in a row? Can we rename our island without completely restarting the game? Maybe even choose a new mode/map while retaining bank account, inventory, and villagers?
1. starting with the popular everyone has their own hub, EVEN IF YOU SHARE A DEVICE. while it's ok hoping they saw the error of this. also letting us have 3-4 save files of our own to make different places. 2. how there's main, Harv's, & HHP islands... why not make it a main thing. we could have home (you and villagers), business (all the shops and whatnots), and a 3rd whatever it would be. then it's our job to build them up. 3. adding to more outside decorating, let us use the carpets(as rugs) and rugs. welcome mats would be cool. also let us decorate the outside of the houses more. right now it's Christmas time so why can't we put up lights or other stuff besides the wreath on the door? it could've been a special limited time choice through Tom when you designed the house. you gave the checklist for everything else.
One thing I’d love to see… Create your own Animal villager! You choose a villager species, pick the gender and personality, and then customize the villager with different colors, accessories, etc. Then these villagers could find themselves in other’s villages overtime as well… through normal villager acquisition means. Now, I’m sure people could abuse it a bit, and make things weird, so maybe they could handcuff things a bit… make you choose a name from an established list of maybe a few hundred names… limit how you can place body parts and accessories to prevent anything obscene. Really the whole reason I want to create a villager is so I can bring back Dozer, who’s my all time favorite villager… but he never made it past the GameCube game.
Besides the things you already mentioned, which are such phenomenal ideas, I would love to see an open world mode, where you could find your materials in order to craft items, rather than have to wait to get season exclusive materials. Secondly, Sanrio characters are such a wonderful addition, but what about Winnie the Pooh villagers! Would absolutely love them!
I want the ability to copy someone’s map terrain. Then I can put my own style onto it. I also would love way more styles of trees and flowers and shrubs. Being able to custom design things as much as possible is always helpful too.
I wanna see more fleshed-out progression in the game like what New Leaf had. Give us 4 or 5 shop upgrades, upgrades to the Able Sisters, more upgrades to the town hall and museum, etc. I also wanna have bigger islands and more important NPCs that stick around. Give us the police station again, for example
I’d love for there to be a purpose to the gyroids! Bring more special characters in that they didn’t have in this one. The ability to do local play with friends nearby with just wifi instead of having to have Nintendo online to do anything with online play. Maybe a city hub that’s like a community gathering online? Or maybe more cross over with pocket camp and the tree from new leaf! This is just a few ideas but there is so much more they could do with a new main series game. New Horizons but expanded ❤
I think if animal crossing would do a biome it would have to have seasons, I’m up for an city ac game, seaside town or I would like to see more shops(from earlier games) more upgrades and a bigger base map. In an ideal world the game would mix everything good from all the past games and make something amazing.
I'd like to see bridges than can be used to cross gaps between cliffs, not just for crossing rivers. More variety in bridge and incline styles would also be quite welcome.
I want to interact with my town. I want to feel like I'm part of this community I spent hundreds of hours building. After you customize every minute detail, the game more or less ends. You have no reason to stick around unless you want to do-over your entire island. What if you could just LIVE in your town, the same as all the other villagers? Imagine going to a restaurant where you order food to learn new cooking recipes! Imagine going to a karaoke club where you sing KK Slider songs to win prizes! Imagine playing board or card games with villagers! Imagine going to an arcade that lets you play classic Nintendo games like Radar Scope and Donkey Kong! TLDR, I feel like Animal Crossing could borrow a lot from the Yakuza games.
I was about to say the same, when I think about things that became stale quickly with new horizons, it was villager interactions and personalities. I doubt they'll do this but adding more personality types or subtypes, or at least adding like more dynamic interactions. I miss how the villagers in New Leaf kind of felt more real. and while the insane amount of island customizability and control you get compared to older games was really fun, it kind of also made the world feel kind of dull, like instead of interacting with a real environment it felt more like a... doll house. like a decorating simulator. honestly if I wanted to just build and decorate I would be playing the sims, not animal crossing. i hope they can find a way to balance customizability and decorating with a more living feeling world in the next game.
I would love to have an integrated catalogue where you can see every item, recipe etc in the game and filter for those you already have, or not have yet etc.
The issue of crafting and buying at scale has always aggravated me. I know they have a function in there that assesses available resources because of the turnip buying. They just chose not to extend that function in other parts of the game, maybe because it would perform poorly on crafted items that required multiple resources. Not sure why. But uggh. Yeah. Making fish bait until menopause.
So many things I'd love to add! Love the game. It's probably my favorite ever! But yeah so many things would improve it...and easily! Oh! But it would be GREAT if we could add more islands to a Switch even if we had to pay money to. It's a bit ridiculous to have to buy a whole Switch for each one.😓
A shopping cart at Able Sisters (to buy all colors of one item, for example). And the ability to lock placed items. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve accidentally pick up placed fence pieces. Grr.
I just want everything implemented that they saw players creating through builds and custom codes as actual things in the game.... Like players had an obsession with making their own paths, why not add sound affects to the paths in the next game where we choose what sound goes with what, dirt sound with dirt path, metal sound with metal codes, splatter sounds with water codes..... Besides paths, some people also made fake strawberries with flowers, drew fruits on the ground, why not add a new fruit category called berry shrubs? Personally I've always wanted berry bushes from day 1 but i cant be the only one with the amount of people going out of their way to force strawberries into the game...... I wasn't a fan of the 4 main fruit trees idea when in the past games they had at least 10. We could have benefitted from more fruit trees to really establish our islands. I would have loved to have mangos, bananas, lemons, and pineapples on my Delfino themed island rather than 100% having to rely on custom codes to add more tropical fruit representatives to my island to make it feel a little more tropical. If they intended for people to trade with each other to get even a fraction of all that the game has to offer, then for future reference, they might want to actually invest more into making the online interactions less finicky. It's asinine to give people an empty island, make them depend on others to get items, while having it extremely easy for them to constantly get kicked from other's island or have limiting interactions.... It would be one thing if they just said "you can hang out with your friends" vs "you have to trade to get the exact items you need in a certain time in your game" and having that horrible online setup. Going back to the custom codes, a lot of people made water codes, many having lily pads in them, swampy waters, and ripples to make duck placement more realistic. In the next game they should also allow us to choose our water's color, how deep it is, and if we can add things to it or even swim in rivers and ponds like we could in the ocean and adding new critters at the bottom of ponds, lakes, and rivers like we got through diving in the ocean. I personally think we should also be able to choose the climate and cliff colors as well as tree types on our islands and or towns. Maybe in the next game they could also allow us to visit other areas and hunt for botanicals to decorate our island/towns. Oh and if we do something with our villagers, we should also have options to undo the things we do with them. And i'd like for our interactions with them to actually matter rather than them smiling and loving everything no matter what. They come off like sheets of papers..... And 100 codes weren't enough, they could have been a bit more generous with the codes, like 200 but id settle for 150. I would have wanted an update that added 50 more custom codes over many of the things they added in the 2.0 update.....
I'd like to add having the ability to draw costume designs using the screen instead of joysticks, nintendo switch having touchscreen and not being used properly in this game is crazy to me. I'm actually a digital artist and would love to make my own costume designs but having to draw using joysticks is so irritating personally
An option to turn the in-game music down.. or off , and keep the sound effects of nature ect, that alone would be awesome. Or quiet spaces outdoors where music was not playing much like in Zelda where there are quiet spaces. The sound effects in general could do with some extra love.
Personally, I would like the ability to terraform and place bridges the same way modded players can. I've spent so much time trying to make my island look super awesome and amazing the way I've seen on UA-cam only to find out that most of those people modded their switches to be able to do that. I would basically like it to be animal crossing with the creative freedom of the Sims
I wish we could jump between nook miles islands instead of having to go back to the airport every time!
i knoww
Fruit! Not being able to collect all of them without having to visit others islands is very frustrating. Not good for those who don’t have friends 😉
As in *_ALL_* of the fruit from the *_ENTIRE SERIES?_* 😮🍎🍐🍒🍊🍑🥥❓❓❓
right i dont want to rely on treasure islands for all fruits, also please give us more fruits like in NL and PC
True
if we could rotate things diagonally that would be nice. also the diys and like the rate that new ones appear would also be good. all i get is the same ones over and over :/
Yes they need some kind of mechanism for minimizing repeats.
@@roach5367 yeah you see your villagers walking around with a can of soda, so you should be able to as well.
I wish we could you items like the lawn mower
They used to have this in the original game on the GameCube. Even villagers could interact with them.
*Bring back hide and seek with villagers.*
They need to bring back all of the mini games from New Leaf.
Yesss that was so cute and fun!
Yes!
Bigger island, the ability to move resident services, to add at least 5 more villagers, the ability to edit our peninsulas, God there's so much Nintendo can do
Yeah, I think that's where the sandbox mode should be added in. 🤔❓
Totally agree!
THE DIALOGUE is something I really wish would be enhanced, adding more personalities and maybe even having the opportunity to DO more with your villagers. Love your ideas :)
@@whatsyourname9581 RIGHT?! We demand to see them SHINE and GROW!! :D
I have never thought about this but I would love that! Such a great idea!
Here are a few things I’d like:
* ability to place items diagonally
* fences 1/2 square thick, so we can push items up next to them
* app on the Nook phone so we can close the gate from anywhere on the island
* ability to thank my villagers and npcs for gifts
* option to ask Blathers if any of my villagers are in the museum
* ability to color on our hair (I have dark hair which is changing very slowly to gray; I’d like to be able to draw gray/white streaks into my hair)
* shopping cart in the changing room
* access to view what I already own while in the changing room
* clothes in the changing room labeled with the color (I’m color blind, so shopping outside of the app is tough for me)
* the ability to customize every item I craft from wood the same colors; why can I customize some with light, dark, white, cherry and others only natural, blue, pink, etc?
* the option to tell Wilbur to take me to another mystery island from the mystery island I’m on instead of having to go back home first
* a Nook Miles Ticket dispenser in the airport
* ability to buy NMTs in bulk!
More design slots for floor, and an easier way to place them
When designing, a copy and paste option with a rotate option and edit option.
For a game on a handheld console, New Horizons is nothing to sneeze at; I know work went into it. >v< Still, and this is a niche thing, but one thing I really hoped they would do was make it to where bridges could be placed spanning from one cliff to another... having underpasses/overpasses would have been magical and would have added that much more variability to island navigation layouts.
for me i would love more interactive items. i think it’d be so cute to ride a bike around your island or swing on a swing set with friends
Yes! I was thinking about this yesterday about how nice it would be to interact with items more, such as being able to use showers and bath tubs, maybe even having a health bar.
@@pixiepalasmr6881 that would be awesome!! especially since pocket camp (i believe) has interactive items?
I DESPERATELY want strawberries and the ability to have more then one island on a single switch
id love it if we could change the style and color of the non-home buildings. they could make a selection of styles to choose from like they do houses. that would help them to fit in with different themes of island. alternatively it would be cool to have new buildings like the ones in happy home paradise. it could even be linked to a hhp dlc the way partitions are, like playing the dlc gives you the option to build these buildings on your island. i would love to have a little cafe there with villagers working inside...they could even be a sort of hub to meet new villagers on your island, like the campsite.
I wish that if you break a rock, and then plant a stone, a rock would grow where you planted the stone the next day! So you didn’t have to fill up every tile just to put together a rock garden
Oh good idea, I had a rock where I liked it and I broke it and I was so mad. They always pop up in the most annoying spots
Being able to plant something that grows into a rock is an awesome idea! Much better to be able to decide where it should go rather than depend on random chance.
Being able to use the pool! Actually getting in the baths would be so cute
That was in Wild World/City Folk, not New Leaf
@@benji6325 Ah, you're correct. Fixed it.
I agree with everything you said! I hope with a new one, they listen to the community and continue updates for a long time. I loved this game so much, but it feels like they abandoned it way too early on. I’d also love to be able to place things diagonally and be able to move the camera around outside like you can inside.
more interactions with items like being able to ride a bike, kick a ball, throw a ball, ride on a ferris-wheel, ride on a merry-go-round etc.
here are some of my wishlist items:
- the ability to change both your island's name and your villager's name
- either multiple islands/console or the ability to back up save files on your computer
- at least 10 personality types (so you could possibly avoid having repeat personalities)
- faster loading times and general performance improvements
- stronger light sources (streetlamps feel so weak rn)
- cleaner airport and museum experiences (love ya orville, but i got places to be)
- the ability to terraform beaches
- the ability to move resident services and the airport
I miss playing hide and seek with my villagers, i would love to have more activities/games with your villagers!!
I would like more fruits and vegetables, like grapes, strawberries, pineapple, lettuce, corn, broccoli
Tons of fruit’s and vegetables~
I really wish we could move the residents services, and alter the outside of our Nooks and able sisters,as well as the outside of our museum 🙏🫶❤️
I want the same energy they put into pocket camp to be put into the next animal crossing!
The option to customize all the furnitures , colors and patterns
Imagine if instead of islands we could have our own little planets like on super mario galaxy
The shop is too small, I wish we could upgrade it and have multiple levels like in new leaf. I also miss the retail store
I really wanna be able to change the cliffs themselves. Changing the brown dirt to granite, stone, brick, sandstone, etc. would be amazing.
I like all your suggestions.
i think terraforming should be easier and change the color of building and more but the game is fun though
I would love more then 10 villigars also to choose your setting...like town, Island etc...I don't have Nintendo online and Its a pain without good Designs to try makin a City Island.
How about allowing the villagers to have roommates, like on the resort? :)
Nailed it. What I wouldn't give for there to be a Creative Mode 😢
I would like to access custom designs online and download them via my phone or computer to my island/switch/game you know what I mean
I want to swim in the rivers!
i would love if they had a mode where decorating your island didn’t affect your island score, but filling the museum and building shops on the island raised your island score. they could make the mode where it’s as if you were playing the game but it’s kind of like minecraft (as you said), where you can play in some version of “survival” and some version of “creative.” it would also be convenient if you could change whenever you’re playing the game. in the creative type mode everything’s available to you, but in the survival type mode only what you’ve collected/bought/found/received (via friend or villager) is available.
I agree with all of these! I also think that you should be able to have multiple islands on the same nintendo.
Imagine this:
A new animal crossing game.
DLC/Paid content:
HHM (Happy Home Makeover) is a GO ride (like an uber or lyft) away, where you makeover houses in different cities!
Renaming your island should definitely be allowed through the nook miles…
I think they should bring back the swimming to a random person's island feature, but just make it so you can't steal anything. The idea of visiting a random island was a cool concept and they need to bring it back.
I’d love to have a mountain setting. Cabins, streams, etc.
And a lot more support.
I would love #10 😻 like being able to make swampy water and mossy cliffs! 💚
I would love the hysterical conversations with the animals that were in Population Growing. That was my favorite part of the game.
Maybe even choose a new mode/map while retaining bank account, inventory, and villagers?
we need more NPC buildings and villager houses
1. starting with the popular everyone has their own hub, EVEN IF YOU SHARE A DEVICE. while it's ok hoping they saw the error of this. also letting us have 3-4 save files of our own to make different places.
2. how there's main, Harv's, & HHP islands... why not make it a main thing. we could have home (you and villagers), business (all the shops and whatnots), and a 3rd whatever it would be. then it's our job to build them up.
3. adding to more outside decorating, let us use the carpets(as rugs) and rugs. welcome mats would be cool. also let us decorate the outside of the houses more. right now it's Christmas time so why can't we put up lights or other stuff besides the wreath on the door? it could've been a special limited time choice through Tom when you designed the house.
you gave the checklist for everything else.
Omg we fr need all these features
also not crafting things for your amiibo characters for three days when you already payed for them :)
Here's an idea: combine New Leaf and New Horizons, the god-like abilities of New Horizons, and everything from New Leaf, that would be insane.
The ability to move everything outside when decorating, the same way yo can in paradise planning dlc
I think a lot of people are forgetting that AC is a life sim genre...
New Horizons is missing a lot of the quaint life Sim stuff from the previous games. Most of the game is just decorating.
@@PandoraBear357 It can't include everything everyone wants
@@jettash0720it was shit
about the topic with the villagers:
imagine they added social links or something like that to AC that would be so cool
I would have wanted an update that added 50 more custom codes over many of the things they added in the 2.0 update.....
there was one dialogue for one of the male personalities (in acnh) Where the villager has a broken arm screaming for help locked in a basement.
As far as settings, I think they could do a sort of factory building game loop? A bit of conveyor belt stuff like the minecraft create mod.
I'd like to add having the ability to draw costume designs using the screen instead of joysticks, nintendo switch having touchscreen and not being used properly in this game is crazy to me. I'm actually a digital artist and would love to make my own costume designs but having to draw using joysticks is so irritating personally
A 360 degree game, like Zelda. I want to see the backs of things!!
A mid size tree or bush that you don’t have to stunt their growth to get it that size. Lemon trees! 4th level and able to decorate it.
