i am totally confused here sir,in stream 3 mass flow rate can be easily determined or calculated using the known mass flow rates given in reactant streams,so why cant we just say we have only one unknown in our dof????????????????????????????????????

Cause you are analyzing before solving anything to see if it’s solvable- you could solve it before but you are supposed to use DOFA before anything
