I’m a 17 year old teenage boy, listens to rap, pop all that stuff. But my grandma introduced me to this type of music. She listens to it every morning. Got good memories of waking up in the morning while she was cooking breakfast for me, hearing these type of songs from my bedroom and while eating breakfast. So sad they don’t make music like this anymore these days! But really thankful though that I’m one of the lucky ones from my generation that gets to enjoy this type of music, just because of my dear grandma ❤️

Pois Eu ofereço essa linda música para Chan eu Woo remanescente Coreia Pois é uma música clássica com um ótimo conteúdo uma ótima qualidade e expressada pelo um ótimo cantor
      Está e para ouvir e dança e a dois

New funk and soul are out there. You just didn't grow up with the new names. Cory Wong; Vulfpeck; and others. The vocals are not always there and will NEVER be this smooth. I met someone 40 years my junior and she was a funk fan too. She is turning me on to a variety of new stuff. Some of it is powerful and some of it is ~Meh~. Just like all of the genres.
Seek the funk and ye shall find it.

they are children of the same grandfathers/mothers imo. This music deserves much adoration but most are too busy listening to even say it. This music is wonderful to me and so is rock simply cos they are unwitheld emotions. They both handle it so differently but thats why I love both so much.

Classic rock is white while Motown is black.
Remember, these were the sixties when the southern states still had systemic segregation because of a deep hatred towards everybody who's non-white.
Nowadays racism seems to be on the increase again with the blessing of a certain ex-president.

I was about 8 yrs old riding a bus from Bangor or Lawrence Michigan to our work camp after summer school and heard this song on the bus. Our drivers name was Mr. Jones. Nice guy (black) and all of us Hispanic kids. Gosh I miss my childhood. Great times. More like an adventure instead of work. Mr. Jones was/is a good man. We all really liked him. I’m now 60 and wonder what ever happened to him. Probably passed on. RIP Mr. Jones. We never told you but you were a great and respected man. Great memories. I think some people miss the true meaning of this song. It's not about just having an affair..it's about the vunerability in all of us . Each and every one of us could at some time on our lives have fallen from grace. The tragedy of those events is beautifully displayed here. A love hopeful yet hopelessly on a path that will no doubt end in emotional devistation...the beauty of being a weak human...not often someone can put those feelings in a song and make us feel it.

An anthem of my time. I was 16 when this dropped. Instant classic. Those strings and horns. Baker, Harris and Young holding down the rhythm. Bobby Martin arranged most of the early Gamble and Huff productions but Thom Bell was my favourite. Soon after the orchestra got a name and first album: MFSB. Time passes to quickly. Bell and Martin are now gone and my heart bleeds. But we have the music, the gift that keeps giving. Love to all.

I was eleven when I first heard it. Before I went to bed one night I had been tinkering with a digital alarm clock, not realizing I had turned the alarm on. It woke me up about two thirty in the morning with this song playing. Have never forgotten it.

    Me and Mrs. Jones
We got a thing goin' on
We both know that it's wrong
    But it's much too strong
    To let it go now
We meet every day at the same café
Six-thirty and no one knows she'll be there
Holding hands, making all kinds of plans
While the jukebox plays our favorite songs
    Me and Mrs., Mrs. Jones
Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Jones
We got a thing goin' on
We both know that it's wrong
    But it's much too strong
    To let it go now
    We gotta be extra careful
That we don't build our hopes up too high
'Cause she's got her own obligations
And so, and so do I
    Me and Mrs., Mrs. Jones
Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Jones
We got a thing goin' on
We both know that it's wrong
    But it's much too strong
    To let it go now
Well, it's time for us to be leaving
It hurts so much, it hurts so much inside
Now she'll go her way and I'll go mine
    Tomorrow we'll meet
The same place, the same time
    Me and Mrs., Mrs. Jones
Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Jones
We got a thing goin' on (thing)
We gotta be extra careful (goin' on)
We can't afford to build our hopes up too high
I wanna meet (thing) and talk with you
At the same place (goin' on), the same café, the same time
And we gonna hold hands like we used to
We gonna talk it over, talk it over
(Thing) we know, they know (goin' on), and you know
And I know that it was wrong
But our thing is strong, we gotta let 'em know now
That we got a thing going on, a thing going on
