I love how Mingyu at 기원 looks like that typical 80s/90s (especially the youngest) uncle who went to Seoul and made a lot of money but NOBODY knows how he made so much😂😂😂😂

WONWOO IS DIVINE! His second verse rap is also my favorite! It is FIRE! I love how he just went off like that! I also like Cheol's rap with the spit bar, Vernon's not tteokbokki and Gyu's rap with split the money 1/13 + him shirtless hehe. WONU, CHEOL, GYU and VERNON all ate and left no crumbs! THIS MV AND THIS SONG IS CHEF'S KISS! I can't get over this and Monster plus Fire and Back it Up!
I did not expect the quality of Lalali MV, Spell MV and Cheers to Youth MV to be title song like! They did not skimp on the budget! I do hope that in the future that they would also release MVs for all the unit songs!

I love all the references of svt's career in lyrics and mv, lalali is 100% hip hop unit energy
The reason you are my favourite is because I get to know more about the culture and references which I didn't have any idea about when I saw the actual mv.
Seventeen always EATS with MVs for sub units, it's their second time doing it and they managed to top what I thought was already amazing. I love Trauma, and yet Lalali surpassed it. Same for Lilili Yabbay/Pinwheel and Spell/Cheers to Youth. I am probably biased because I went feral for Performance Unit once again, but just like during Teenage era, Hiphop Unit comes as a very close second and leaves a lasting impression

The production of the unit mvs was AMAZING. This one has become one of my favorite mvs EVER and now I can appreciate it way more, knowing the meaning of some of the details.
Those wardrobe with Vernon is called “자개장” (자개=pearl oyster, since those shiny patterns were made by the shells of them, and the term -장=wardrobe)
And those styles of traditional korean craftworks are often called “나전칠기” and yes, they're expensive😂
+) and Mingyu's 바둑 scene is from the famous match of AlphaGo (AI that plays go games) versus Sedol Lee in 2016. He is the only person who won AlphaGo on the official match. (AlphaGo won 73 games out of total 74 games and was defeated only 1 time-by Sedol Lee.)

Was so excited to watch your reaction! So appreciative of you breaking down all the cultural references, I knew some from Korean media like the ahjumma style but I really did not know what lalali meant so your explanation was perfect! When I first watched the mv I was just hyped with the song and how hot they looked I did not the delinquent theme and they made it look so cool, yeah this music video is so good!!

without knowing the lyrics and the meaning of the word 'nalari' i felt like it was a gangster song.. the moment i heard it i texted my sister saying this song is something they would feature in indian movies like 'shootout at lokandwala' (i'm form india).. once the mv was out i was so freaking excited, it is everything i expected from the mv to this song..
