An Oliver Hazard Perry Class Frigate is NOT a "massive ship," whether by Navy standards or merchant shipping standards. They are only 453 feet long and the crew is around 165 depending on whether there is a helecopter detachment onboard or not. It's actually one of the smallest ships in the U.S. Fleet (or was before they were all decommissioned).
Served aboard UUS Reid FFG30 and yea Frigates are the smallest ships but we also usually performed independent duty and were no part of the main task force body
A fun ride in 70-80 knot winds and the accompanying seas. Detachment for HSL 20 & 21 landed on and was at home in the hangers. The 3rd and 4th of the 1st 4 SH60s. FFG 37. Also the 2nd long hull. Deployed on a WestPac in 1985.

Per another video, a sea replenishment does NOT include reloading missiles that are fired from the vertical launch systems. Ships with VLS have to return to a base to reload and guess what? There are only a very small number of shore facilities that are equipped to do this. This is not good. I find this quite troubling. What say others?
You won’t get it. There are criteria to meet for a visa to be approved. Definitely not as friend. Even being married to US citizen is not a guarantee to have a visa
I shot the M 240. Totally inaccurate compared to my use of the old M 60! The M 240 could not hit a 6" circle at 75 yards. The M 60 would hold tight on a 2X4 at 50 yards for myself and others.

This is not accurate. Torpedoes haven't hit just below the waterline since WWII. More than 80 years ago they already used magnetic triggers to detonate under ships, where the explosion is much more damaging. One the armored ships this also bypasses the armor.

Those FFG's could take a pounding and still keep going. Navy's biggest mistake was to decommission those frigates. They were extremely easy to refit.
I think its more about the integrity of the metal deteriorating rather than refits.
