    These are amazing! I just graduated and started at a busy salon. The other ladies try to help me, but videos like this that are so detailed and not rushed are a godsend! Thank you!

    You are amazing and I pray you keep making these education packed videos for anyone who wants to learn about how to do hair the RIGHT WAY and wants to be able to connect with an excellent hairdresser such as yourself!! I’m not a professional hairdresser but I have many friends who have been in this industry for literally 30+ years and some are even salon owners themselves now. I’ve been their Guinea pigs oh I mean state board models, been models for every service imaginable throughout their assistantships. I also have worked on the administrative/retail side in a few higher end salons and couple all this with my natural curiosity for learning a little bit about almost everything and I’ve been on a lifelong journey to figure out how to keep my baby fine thinner blonde hair from breaking/falling flat looking like I never washed it etc.
    I love how passionate you are about your profession and I love it that you are getting so much positive feedback and gratitude from young stylists just coming out of cosmetology school in need of a SERIOUS PERSON WHO IS WILLING TO FREELY SHARE HER KNOWLEDGE AND ASSIST WITH EDUCATING to LIFT ANOTHER STYLISTS GAME UP instead of withholding the info.
    I have found a new channel to binge watch and learn about how to make my own 52 years old hair look like a happy shiny bright blonde again and I thank you for it 🎉

    I am probably the oldest hairstylist that loves your videos. How is your little girl? Your PH balance in the levels of hair was so educational. Water is hard on hair. Diabetics and lots of medication can change the chemistry of the hair. I have had older clients that a week or 2 after a perm I wet the hair to wash it beautiful perm no problems no knotting on hair loss and when I wet their hair it will knot up or start to come out in strands. Definitely a PH. 10 or anti snap work well. Thanks again for your time . Excellent care products help but sometimes people won’t spend the money.

    You do an absolutely beautiful job of highlighting. Speaking from the experience of curly girl who tangles regularly, it's often best to detangle from the bottom working eventually up to the roots.

      You should never detangle from the top if you have long hair. I hate to go to salons and the ladies start combing the wet hair from the top😤😤😤

    Thank you so much for these videos!! I have a silly question as i haven’t done color since beauty school but will be going back soon, but I’m basically trying to remember the order that you do things at the shampoo bowl, so you pull out the foils and can shampoo then tone, and then do you rinse out the toner and just condition afterwards or do you wash again and then condition? Thanks :)

    • @WholyHair
      @WholyHair  Рік тому +1

      The teasy lights give a softer look at the root and makes for a more seamless grow out. Someone who wants a natural and rooted look would be great for teasy lights!

    • @TracyD2
      @TracyD2 2 роки тому +2

      I think because a lot of her hair was left at a level 6. So the level 10s have a hard time toning that. The highlights were toned ashy but the mixture of low and highlights wouldn’t necessarily have a gray cool look overall. I think. Maybe if she used a darker toner.

  • @glammav14344
    @glammav14344 Рік тому

    Please, don’t pinch the foil in half after you applied the highlight because it will cause demarkation line on the finish product. Also, don’t fold both sides of foil. Leave one side open to prevent bleed. If you pinch both sides, the bleach will expand and bleed.

    • @WholyHair
      @WholyHair  Рік тому

      I've never had those issues, I have always closed the foil so they stay in place better and I can fit in more highlights that way! But it must depend on the lightener you use.
