It seems to me the more games they can play and the better the match ratings they get the faster they can grow. My Piazon reached 93 after 10, but he was rotated quite a lot in all that time because my squad was so big. If he played virtually all of your games then it would explain an even higher rating if he managed it.
Marcal Almeida is my fave to play with, although he is so overpowered lol he is unstoppable. His dribble is the most fun, He has like accel 97, speed 98, reactions 91, agility 96, balance 89, 97 control, 96 dribble, 97 finish, 96 heading, 93 long shot, 97 shot power. His Att Pos. lets him down, but you just don't use it- you give him the ball from wherever and dribble and shoot from wherever you like and he scores. Defenders just can't get the ball off him with those dribble related stats
Jarjat's marking, slide and stand tackle over 80. Could easily be a quality CB! Highly useful, good for stealing balls high up the pitch off unsuspecting defenders.
Adryan would be the obvious one because his dribble skills are also devastating, but Mbaye is a lot of fun too because he is a good all rounder and I bought him in another career game but didn;t get chance to have him play and grow. Given chance in this save he turns out great. He is a 92 a season after this video....
Value of players can vary enormously. It seems to be a factor of form too possibly. GKs seem to be somewhat undervalued true, he has been valued 18m+ in the past, it does move a fair bit
I didn't play this career game any further. However I would bet good money that Adryan would grow to a 94 by the time he is 28/29 and then starts to decline. He was a 93, then gained quite a bit more of a few stats. A couple more points is all he needs in this save to reach 94 IMO
I actually played another season past few days now and Zouma improved a little bit more to a 92. However Ramos is now 93, and immense. Virtually all of them gained. Adryan reached the 94 as I predicted above. Piazon even hit 93. Their individual stats mean more than overall I guess, for example Marcal almeida is 'only' a 92 overall, but his attacking stats are incredible even compared to Ronaldo/Mess starting. His speed, accel, balance, ball control, dribble, finishing, shot power etc
Possible for sure, but unlikely. Young players like that rarely lose stats fast like that unless they get injured. An Injured youngster can drop a bit of physical stats but usually quickly regain them when fit again
i had adryan at AS Monaco at the beginning of my second season but when i bought the future star thing in catalogue and found a young 14 year old star, barca offered me the job!! in my second season!! couldn't turn it down! but looking at this i think i need adryan back 93!!!!! he's better than iniesta! to be honest he improved by 4 from a 75 in about 11 matches incredible player!
You buy it, then load the career game you want it in and advance a few days. It'll show up as a message in the usual news place on the manager idle screen. If you bought it and didnt see it and quit out again before you got it then chances are you have lost it....and it can't be reset. So either talk to EA support or use another more carefully
I haven't seen them but I have never really looked much. I assume that they are a bit linked so a scout is either good or he isn't. If you can only afford one really great scout then just have one, because within a couple of seasons you would have found 5 or 6 top quality youngsters and they'll easily be worth 5 million+ each quickly, within 6 months. Honestly, just get one ace scout even if you have to sell an older player with a bit of value cos it'll pay off very quickly, I guarantee it.
Just pro I think I forget what default was. They rotated. If you see other comments some claim to have the likes of Piazon even higher or Adryan better earlier. I assume this is possible because they played more games than my players did under full rotation. Understand that havign such a squad means you end up getting to the late stages of all competitions so you usually have more games to rotate around as well
Clearly it is :) I suppose if you are gonna have a beast in your team may as well be the GK, but Castillo and Yeboah CBs are both 6 foot 5 too. Great height for CBs
I said the money built up from transfers out, prize winnings etc. The board never seemed to take money away from me it just seemed to roll over but I didn't pay precise attention because I never bought anyone after a couple of seasons and never intended to, they probably gave a bit more after a successful season for all I know
i brought Fleetwood Town to the BPL, stand out play is Luke Shaw who is 96 ovrl at 26, also got Varane 93, Sterling 93, Ter Stegen 96 and then a few 90+ ovrl scouted players
My Zouma (the Beast!) is a 92 at 23 yrs old, but plays every 2 out of 3 games and averages 8.8 rating. So it depends hugely on play time and rating. Though I took Azogue (free agent at start of game) and got him to 82 (I think) and he suddenly would not grow a penny more.
So FIFA 14 is only just a month away. Considering how old these are now, when I have got FIFA 14 and have had a bit of time to get used it I will probably do a better career walkthrough due to popular demand.
I do want to. My schedule has been hectic. I have considered other gaming videos too. I have also had problems with FIFA13 online which EA admit is entirely their fault- an update seems to have broken my account on the game and they offered me a new serial, but I didn't wanna lose my Virtual pro. Talking to EA customer service which is frankly awful has discouraged me, but if it gets sorted out I will get back to FIFA.
I agree and bought him again last night for 14mil for barca, But i am more inclined to scout i wana find the next messi or ronaldo, i think getting the young players already in the game is too easy with a bit of money i'd rather the challenge of bringing someone through with potential like you've done, however im going to keep my squad numbers down i'm not as lucky as you with the range of talent i'll get. I've got all 10 star scouts though so the talent should come eventually!
Free agents were bugged. At least for me. Any free agent you signed was actually 3 points less overall when they joined your club. All of them. So that free agent would have actually been an 82 had i chosen to sign him.
That is how EA has designed it unfortunately. The catalogue cannot be user reset. Mainly because if it could, you could just buy the online/career player boosts for example over and over.

Yeah it is weird I never noticed that! The game seems to have a set roster of names with youth players you see over and over depending on their nationality I think. It must recycle some names from the existing roster here and there but thats a freaky coincidence for sure
Sort of. The game doesn't count winger forwards as attackers for whatever reason- despite the fact their icons are coloured blue for attackers. A lot of the top teams these days play with someone who has quite a free role and is probably not really your conventional 'striker'. Barcelona being one obvious example. Spain also won Euro 2012 using one or none conventional strikers in the lineup quite often! lol
Because they were all grown into rather than bought as world class. If you keep their contracts updated most of them don't demand huge sums of money. Its unrealistic but if they only want small increases in wage year on year then I'm not gonna offer them all 100k+ just for fun lol

Is there like a certain place that gives you better youth players than others? i figure it more matters on the scout. Also if you play the youth players more do they develop faster? i read some where that it really doesnt matter because they would grow regardless.

Your GK or ST are random players sorted out by fifa, like you get them for free from the third season on Some nice players would be Tonny Vilhena or Yassine Benzia because they start of really chep at round about 65 rated and 500k buying price and finally come to 94 and 91 after 7 seasons of playing whitch them ;)
What are the players for the AI teams like after 10 years? i would imagine that a lot of players are retired at the point of the game that you're in so i am interested to know if the AI brings through many good young players and keeps a realistic quality team like would be expected
Are u doing this on updated (were u download the newest squads) or on as the players was in the start and btw keep it all fifa cus ur good at comentating over fifa ;) maybe just speek a little bit quicker imo ;)
Stays the same far as I seen. I would imagine because growing stars and height would add extra complexity to the game to handle memory wise. Maybe later games huh?
@richard johnson Messi might still be in there but I haven't checked. Ronaldo is gone I think he would be like 38. Most players usually decline fast after they are like 32/33 anyway.
if you start with a good team though after like 2 season your team is like that anyways. My Arsenal squad has several players around 94 and only a couple below 90 after 3 seasons
@Jeffrey Bakker Pauleta is just a randomly generated youth player. The game just generates youth players with different names and abilities so you won't find a CM called Pauleta with the exact same attributes as mine in your game. You need to scout your own youth players and develop them. See my other video.
Do the players get taller? At the moment i have a 5 foot 5 CB in the youth team. I haven't put him in the full team yet but i don't know if he'll get taller.
Most teams want naturally left footers on their left hand side. That doesn't mean of course, right footers play there but those that do are typically are decent with both feet.......No need to be anally pedantic at a fleeting comment. Fischer usually plays like an AML for Ajax but FIFA has limited position names as I had said before in another comment

Note few players are on high wages because its easier to control them if they youth and not bought into the team- if you sign in a regen you pay more
EAS, EAS catalogue. Buy the first financial takeover and immediately load the career you want it applied to yes. Advance a few days and then you'll see it. DO NOT QUIT BEFORE IT APPLIES and you have re saved that career. Or you'll lose it.

i signed a youth player for 5 years for 500 dollars and he became a 90 and still makes 500 dollars a week

My Adryan is at 94 and still growing which is incredible! He's only 24 too. Too sick!
I wish my Kurt Zouma was 91.. He got to 80 from under one season, but now he's always getting severe injuries.

I have Andrei poli from sampdoria and he's 23 and rated 91! Best player I've bought! Never really go anything from my youth systems

Bariagher was pretty good but clearly Marchenko is a special player with all his stars, it wasn't too hard to choose between them.

Ronaldo was retired and Messi has dropped to 79 @ 35 years old. Neymar was 86 @ 31. Most of them decline quite rapidly after 32 or so

i think the rating they give you for the free agents is their rating at the start of the season and because they haven't been playing they go down

Try offering them more money in contracts. Homesick is just another word for "Give me more money" :)
