“Mike, you’ve done well. Jamie.”
James’ savageness progresses each episode.
James is like a proud parent to Mike.
James is like a passive aggressive Gordon Ramsey lol. He wants to call Jamie a "fookin donkeh", but he won't, he'll just look like he's saying it lol
Jamie - "Thank you for recognizing I'm here."
At least he didnt get Eric Lanlarded, again.
"I'd rather grate my face of" - James 2020
Mike: “You can draw a little figure of 8”
Jamie: “I’m gonna do a number 2”
#RuleBreaker
Me: ::Giggles childishly::
Staggering...... Hehehee
Paul Diver very appreciated
I thought dad joke of the week goes at the end of the episode
Good thing the Swiss roll ingredients were already set out for them, I have a feeling Jamie would have gone with instincts and made a sausage roll.
This sounds about right 😂
I would actually love to see Smth like that
@@SortedFood z is
Knowing how Jamie is, I’m surprised that given complete freedom to choose his fillings to flavour his Swiss Roll, I expected him to fill his roll with a fillet steak and make a confusing version of a beef wellington 😂
Jamie having to repeatedly attempt the mascarpone cream and James dying of laughter is what I needed today
😂
@@SortedFood JHERMSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Mascarpone timestamps: 4:04, 7:12, 10:02 and 10:15
Ok but how do u do it?
@@janani1826 You really want to cream the butter and sugar before you add anything. Otherwise the sugar crystals shred the mascarpone and basically instantly separate them.
The hug when they both rolled their cakes is so cute! 😆
It really was! Such good, close friends those two are! A true rarity in this stinking selfish world in which we live.
"Oh NO!" is just Mike's catchphrase at this point.
The fact that I heard it in his voice is worrying me a bit...
It's fully in Phoebe voice every time
James was so excited when he guessed “millionaires” I don’t think I’ve ever hear him sound so excited actually 🤣
James loves his little wins 💪
Kate H Idk the redo of the dessert Pass It On when he realised the berries he got off the table made it to the dish but Barry’s cheesecake filling didn’t. I still love that “My thing made it to the plate and yours didn’t! BARRY DID THE WORST!!”
And in the London Food Marathon, when Jamie guessed that his chocolate was flavoured with tobacco!
I thought Nazis.
@@SortedFood side note. JAMES fans are also called "his little wins"
I'd love to see Ben and James do the same thing just to see the difference between what the Chefs and Normals offer up.
This would be an EXCELLENT video!
Brilliant idea - I second that
@@SortedFood have them do it with something absurd, like American Midwest casseroles. Tater tot casserole, maybe? Tuna casserole's another good one. I'd love to see them try to make it something other than glop.
@@SortedFood I'd watch and like that.
Maybe then without the measured ingredients? :) Great idea! And I love that with Sorted it's actually possible we're gonna get to see that.
you saw “STOP TRICKLING!”
now get ready for Mike’s second attempt with “come on, DRIBBLE!”
I love it when Mike shouts at food: like when he shouted at the ice tray "OBEY ME"
Lady Berd it’s one of life’s true pleasures to watch a man be driven crazy by food
Ok. You win the comment section of the video!
Lady Berd it always makes me laugh because I also shout at food when I’m super frustrated with it 😄
Jamie: "To make my cinnamon sugar, I'm going to take some sugar and put some cinnamon in it."
Whoa, whoa, you're getting very technical there Jamie.
How do you make a swiss roll? You push him down a hill - Jamie from years ago! 😂
You have an excellent memory.
@@SortedFood it's because I love you guys! Been a follower for so long, I believe I found you in 2012 and you've been with me for ups and downs in my life 😊😁😘
I remember that ahaha
I still have no clue why the heck this thing is called a Swiss Roll (coming from a Swiss). It's called a 'Roulade' here and is by no means a common thing to eat either. (I think i had it like once or twice in my life?)
Monika Don’t worry in Mexico we have swiss enchiladas which are enchiladas with a green sauce and melted cheese on top 😂
How James being mean can still come across as so adorable and hilarious, I'll probably never know.
That's his superpower I reckon
The
*judgmental lean*
"piss off"
caught me so off guard pahahaha
Me too!
Blind ingredient challenge: Everyone picks ingredients then one person in blindly chosen to make a dish out of them but the catch is, they can't use the ingredient they chose.
Jamie and Barry since Mike has already done 2
Or, choose ingredients blindfolded.
Ingredient swap!
Caspian MK1 I feel like everyone would just choose like a crazy ingredient that would be hard to make a dish out of
They should make it a head to head that way both people will have the same ingredients except for one.
"Mike, you've done well.. Jamie.."
Im wheezing
"A bacon roll, but we're not doing that"
So disappointed haha
Now I want to see Jamie's savory bacon roll.
@stone5against1 a bacon chocolate swiss roll with some almonds/cashew or coffee bean would have been great.
I was almost waiting for a fusion Swiss roll... 😁
A bacon and maple syrup swiss roll would be a amazing.
I'll have the filling to be similar to the contents of a cheese ball but a little less dense/heavy since a swiss roll is supposed to be light after all. Part cream cheese part marscapone or just cream cheese let down slightly with some water. Add in some chives, pickled chilies/peppers, bacon bits maybe even some chopped wallnuts and your herb(s) of choice. The roll itself would be tweaked a little, maybe some grated parm in it to lean towards the savoury side and that's about it. Ahh now i'm curious how that would actually turn out!
"Nervous?"
"I am nervous."
"You should be."
My Godddd I was rolling!!!
Amazing, James being an absolute troll, Ben giggling away, and both Jamie and Mike being an emotional support group of 2 was so funny!!!
Next one, go savoury(preferably steak), but have both Mike and Barry do it while Jamie fumes on the side :)
shespeakslatin I agree w the steak
James wasn't being a troll, he was just being himself.
I was rooting for mike this whole episode and I'm so proud of him. Then he called jamie's Swiss roll "well girthy" and now I'm even more proud of mike.
"It's Collin the frickin caterpillar" finished me hahahahha
And Ben giggling helplessly from the sidelines :'D
I think the recipe-less challenges should have the added option of buying a hint from one of the chefs for the cost of not touching anything for a full minute
Sounds pretty lame.
Ask Brynjolf Arvidsen or one hint means they have 5 minutes of their time taken away.
Recipe-less beef wellington! I can already imagine Barry panicking, and Jamie giving up on the pastry and just cooking the beef.
no cheating with pre-made ingredients
I really appreciate Ben's positivity and natural teaching ability, explaining exactly what went wrong while still complimenting both chefs on a job well done. MVP Ben.
Jamie: "What's better than a swiss roll"?
Me: He's gonna put bacon into his swiss roll isn't he. A maple bacon roll.
James: A cinammon Roll
Me: Oh look I was wrong.
*moments later*
Jamie: A BACON ROLL
Mike: “I don’t know how to get it up!” 😆😂🤣
"I thought you were doing soft peaks"
"yeah... So did I"
😂
“Come on, dribble!”
“That is well girthy”
James just getting so excited to see the chaos unfold at 0:48 is me whenever I get the notification that SORTED uploaded a new video.
🙌
@@SortedFood I couldn't agree more! 🎉
2:27
This is why I love Ben. He delivers his critiques in compliment sandwiches. Some people might see it as being too soft, but I think it’s a good skill to be able to correct while also encouraging someone to try again.
"Something about a number. I'm gonna do a number 2"
So hes accepted he will lose?
Also let's be honest, James was the real winner of this video
I thought he had to go to the bathroom.
Spoilers!
That hug after the they rolled it was the best part of this ❤
I like how when mike is being a bit too hard on himself, the other guys really step up and support him
James rooting for Mike and laughing at Jamie's failed attempts is what I love about this video
I love how James is capable of immediately switching between telling the Camera something important and emoting and a split second later putting on his intimidating chef face again
Ben: "Judgemental lean!"
Mike: "Yeah. Piss off."
Mike "Spaff can you help ? I don't know how to get it up" hahahah
James had no poker face whatsoever. I usually have a hard time at reading faces, but in this video James face was basically an open book with really big letters and I love it! :D
I love Ben's judgemental lean. Hahaha.
James is that kid who never gets a question right but finally knows something
"Mike, you've done well.
...Jamie."
Harsh!
Ben: judgemental lean
Mike: yeahhh..... piss off
Ahahah 😄
Watching James watch mike and Jamie mess up is absolutely hilarious - his reactions are great (sorry lads)😂
One look from James says it all.
@@SortedFood Just one look and I can hear a bell ring, one more look and I forget everything
James asking for and then eating the apple peel made me think of when the normals would ask for the potato skins.
Loved the end "I want it bigger than when I started" Don't we all love.
I would love an actual "Cinnamon Swiss Roll" recipe, it'd be amazing.
I've made many Swiss rolls, and I've always rolled the sponge in a dry tea towel. Will have to try using a damp one next time!
I've made tons of Swiss roll, it's easy. You just need a very pointy stick...... xD
Melanie Swang, same. Never used a damp tea towel. Though I do usually end up putting a simple sugar soak on the rolls before I add the filling.
"Mike, you've done well."
"Jamie,"
Ben's reaction on I don't know how to get it up... Priceless!! 🤣🤣
I love James' energy in this one, he's sassy as usual but he's also got this playfulness going on and the lurking, dont get me started on his effing LURKING absolutely loved it
Ben's face at "I don't know how to get it up" hahahahaha
Jamie's frosting attempts are KILLING ME
13:57 is such a wholesome moment. Mike is clearly disappointed that something he tried didn't work how he planned, and both chefs immediately jump in to reassure him that it's not an issue.
6:15 “Nicely done, Mike” Ben sounding like both a stern teacher and proud father😂
When you guys going to do the “Pork Belly’s” Ultimate battle!?
"It's Colin the frickin caterpillar!!" I wish you would have put some eyes on that roll haha 😅
We need a smattering of new memes taken from James’ expressions and comments in this video.
Poor Mike freaking out every time, I relate to that anxiety very much
New video was the highlight of my day until I watched the video now it’s savage James 😂
“I’d rather grate my face of than watch you make another mascarpone cream”- Currie 2020
Can we have chefs in a recipe less and they have to cook a dish decided through a poll just an hour before the actual cooking
pls make more of these videos with Mike cos I honestly cant stop laughing lol. And Jamie is that very precious gift that we didn't know we needed until now.
Pays to be up at 11 AM after an all nighter. No regrets.
GolldenFalcon I couldn’t relate harder I’d be sleeping now if I didn’t have plans today lol
You guys are great!
I laughed when the boys gave each other a hug like they were contestants in a Miss Universe pageant!
James being an A+ student is what I needed today 😂😂
"Nervous?"
"I am nervous."
"You should be."
🤣🤣🤣
Idea: pass it on, without leaving any clues in the kitchen, but they can say 5 words to the next before switching.
I mean, they don't leave any-- any useful clue anyway xD
5 too many, one word in a different language 😂😂. Ben speaks French and Jamie speaks Spanish
@@Alphax36 Yeah but can you imagine Mike going like. "I'm gonna tell Baz to check the oven, crack some eggs, cook some arctic charr with peppers and plate it"
Mike (To Barry): Oven. Eggs. Char. Pepper. Plate.
Barry: Alright, I'll make clouded eggs in the oven and char some peppers and plate it.
The fact that when Jamie asked what is better than a Swiss roll and no one said a sausage roll seriously disappoints me
Could we agree that James is inarguably this channel's spirit animal?
James nodding before big eyes at the camera. So funny! I think after three days just binging these videos, the two James' are my favorite people!
2 videos in a row with sassy James! He's evolving. Lol
I love these recipe-less challenges they are always good for a laugh. 😋
These videos just make me so happy. I love everything you guys do. Truly.
please make more of these videos.
HILARIOUS!!!!!
WELL DONE GENTS
James was especially adorable this episode 😅
andrineslife, actually, I thought it tipped over into mean. It’s been clear for ages that Jamie is his least favourite of the crew.
James ready to grate his face off made my day
ebber’s face at “i don’t know how to get it up” 😂😂 11:55
I really like that Ben explained what went wrong for Jamie. Very sweet.
I learned something at the end. Nice!
Wow, I usually like James' sass, but damn, that was a little harsh today :P XD
James was fair and balanced, Jamie just needs to not suck. :D
Yeah, wonder what got into him... Or if he's not gotten into anything lately...
I want more ultimate battles. It's winter, it's cold out, we need something hearty. How about an ultimate stew battle?
James expressions throughout this brought me so much joy. His giddiness at their mistakes was just adorable.
I get the impression that watching these is going to make James go grey.
Despire the eruption of a volcano here in Philippines, Sorted always finds a way to make me smile😭
Hey, I hope you and your loved ones are safe. Sending prayers your way.
This whole video is the best thing to unwind and relax after spending all day on my bachelor thesis. Loved the sass and chaotic energy in it.
I love seeing James enjoying himself so much!
James won this episode. He is so happy.
Best part of sunday!
Whoop Whoop! #SortedSundays
I’ve actually binged all your guys videos all the way from the start for the past week and am such a fan. Which led me to buy your guys books!. You guys are so funny 🤣
The supportive hug was the highlight of this video. So wholesome lol.
James: Mike you have done well
James: Jamie....
😂😂 The best part of the entire video...omg... please make more of these...n James u really started to look like a Masterchef Judge now
"you want it to grow in size by about 3 times" mike with the Innuendos
Elizabeth PenaMaslow Did you watch the post credit bit with Jamie? It’s a grower and a shower ;)
@@gyrhan so basically they're ALL a bunch of innuendoed people smashed into one video? SO GLAD IM SUBBED ;)
James in this video is exactly what I needed today. ❤️😂
“You’re so EGGY TODAY!!” 🤣 what does that even mean?! Love this episode
they want savory, so how about a spinach quiche or just a general quiche
Or Level up the challenge with a Moroccan Chicken Bastilla. It's like a pot pie + Lasagne in difficulty with a herb-egg layer. And nuts, and pastry ... and chicken ... and spices. Yum.
I thought Jamie did really wonderfully!!! It's been really lovely seeing how much improvement he's made since the new year especially. I thought he and Mike were neck-and-neck for a good chunk of the video and he should be really proud of that! :)
I love these challenges! So much fun!
I think Mike really leveled up! So much calmer and more thoughtful than the Chou-catastrophe! Great Job!
James was so mean today 😂 Poor Mike was so worried, good work Mikey
savory: Recipe less lasagne. From scratch.
@Emma Taylor
A lot of which can be a pain to make from scratch, without a recipe, for people who aren't practiced at it.
it's like the eggs Benedict battle:
ua-cam.com/video/sZtgtcgaGrw/v-deo.html
if you wanna make it that easy let them just make aglio e olio pasta
@@sammyblaze4234 For a chef, making all the parts from scratch and getting them assembled in time is fairly easy. For a non chef, it can be a lot harder, especially with stress.
lasagna also requires then everything be re baked, causing even more time crunch.
My favorite part of this is towards the end when Ben tells Jamie exactly why his cream was splitting - cuz the poor man tried making it 4 times. James may have teased him about doing it wrong, but I'm glad they actually figured out where it was going wrong. It allowed Jamie to know it wasn't his fault, and also helps normals like us who are cooking at home.
I think this might be my favorite video. The causal friendship between Mike and J is really heartwarming.
