Wow this video just released 2 days after my tab s7+ arrived 😂 I will say though Im typing this on my s7+ rn that I purchased used for $350 and I definitely don't regret my decision. It's an amazing tablet and if software support doesn't matter to you, it's way better than the s9 fe
@royfokerpoker1802 got it on Amazon and there were a few models. Got the one that was renewed excellent for around $360 and it had 256GB of storage too. Amazing deal and 2 months later the tablet is still great. No battery or screen issues and I've been using it alot for art.
@@dagamerturtle Sounds good friend thx. I'm thinking of getting a "very good" refurbished condition one from eBay right now, as I don't trust the refurbished ones currently listed on Amazon at the moment, some recent reviewers were saying some negative things
Correction: OneUI 5.1.1 is Android 13. Also this is the last version for this tablet. It will not be getting Android 14 (OneUI 6), contrary to the S7FE which came later and got it.
@@_Digitalguy No regular fe S9 fe. Basically I can get the s7+ for even less than fe right now and it's a flagship (albeit from 2020 but still). I think I'm going for a excellent condition refurbished S7+ for $350. It's a steal still I think
@@royfokerpoker1802 I asked because the screen size is not the same. But yes, I would take the S7+ over the FE. I have had the S7+ and it's a good device, updates are not that important, hardware is more important
I've had the s 7 plus for about 2 years now. I use it heavily for school. The s pen and samsung notes is a very powerful combination for note taking. I love being able to save class ppt as pdfs and opening them in samsung notes. I use it with a keyboard sometimes. I also take advantage of using the additional screen feature with a stand next to my monitor or laptop. Best tablet I've used so far, and it feels like I'm pretty far off from wanting to upgrade.
Don't worry about Android version unless you're about to buy an Android Jelly Bean in 2024. Security updates aren't real, they're just fake patch notes to keep worrywarts thinking they'll be safe if they keep buying newer devices and staying away from flagships they can get for cheaper used now. No one at Samsung is going to be busy away programming fixes for security vulnerabilities 2 years from now on a crappy disposable Galaxy A9 or S6 Lite Tablet. They'll take 2 minutes to write a fake patch note and send the firmware update to the devices.

A friend just bought a used one for £285 with 256GB memory, I’m blown away by the size and quality of the screen and its responsiveness which brought me here. I’m now considering getting one or the S8+ if I can find a really good deal, and I already have an iPad 9th gen.
I think the s8+ model is being discontinued or something. In my area it was sold for only 400 bucks for 256 gb and cellular option. So just wait for a sale or look online
I bought mine just as the S8 range was about to come out. I thought it was therefore a year old. A shock therefore only a year later to find it was soon going to out of support and while I didn't need any new features, Samsung's not providing any security updates sucked. [It's my destiny. I bought a cheap Samsung A series as a backup phone because I read that Samsung had extended long update periods to the A range. All, it turned out, except the A series model I had just bought as a backup model to use as such for 5 years].
This tablet is still very good despite no updates, but i dropped mine during summer vacations and the edge corner of the display fractured...😢😢 Traded in for a S10+ now! Happy customer ❤
I still love this tablet, and will be using it as a support screen when I get an IPad Pro next year for school. Can't wait for my classmates to ask, "Does he have 2 ipads and a laptop?!" Screen still looks great
i just ordered myself a tab S7 Plus 256gb for $260, it doesnt have any issues apart from a few scratches from case wear (but we'll see when it arrives), i don't really play games as much anymore, and i do need a drawing tablet for freelance work, i thought about going for the s9 fe for the updates etc i also had my eye on the xiaomi pad 6 (but the no sd card is a deal breaker) i waited for the xiaomi pad 7 but they also didnt put sd card slot on it so i just ended up buying an s7 plus instead. but i dont think android 13 would be obsolete anytime soon, heck even android 11 devices works just as fine, since android updates now a days doesnt do much changes eitherway, and apps still supports lower os versions. my only concern is the battery life since its like 4 year old device.
Hello everybody I just want to ask because i really don't know does the software support really matter if you are just planning to use it for light gaming, note taking, and mostly just watching movies?
@@FishBeeProductionsthe s7+ is the last tablet to not get the update... Because samsung mandated a specific year and upwards only will get more updates
I have it and it's still a beast, what's most annoying is that it has enough power to run Android 14 or 15 and Samsung will no longer update it or have One UI 6 or 6.1.1😔😔😔
You also gotta mention that not all 7 plus have oled display. The 5g wifi versions do. Also 7+ is the oldest that supports wireless screen sharing so windows 10 or 11 laptop can actually screen extend to this tablet.
An easy way to tell is all FE's are LCD screens even S9 FE. The reason to get a tablet is the amoled screen otherwise just get a phone. Processor wise Snapdragon 865+ is in some respect better than Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 for example the battery power lasts longer as S7+ uses amoled that use less power and 865 uses less battery power than Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. So in some respect S7+ is better than S8 and S9 FE if you get it at a good price.
I honestly can't see any problem for Tab S7/S7+ to get another one or two OS update. Snapdragon 865 is still a crazy fast SoC for everyday use. Even gaming is still usable with it. I avoided Tab S8 series because of the rather terrible Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, but Tab S9 series are still selling at RRP.
@@royfokerpoker1802 If you don't mind sticking with Android 13 forever, Tab S7/S7+ is still a solid performer. As for the Tab S7 FE, it'd get Android 14 with OneUI 6 update since it was launched a year after Tab S7/S7+ with Android 11 out of the box. You'd better off with the Wi-Fi version since the 5G version only has 4GB RAM compared to the Wi-Fi's 6GB RAM. Unless if you are a heavy gaming or Termux user, the Tab S7 FE is still fine. One last tip: Try to look at the Tab S8/S8+. Despite the SoC concern, secondhand ones are now going down to almost the same price as secondhand Tab S7/S7+, and you'd still get another two OS update in the line. That means the Tab S8/S8+ will be updated until Android 16.
Is it still worth it to actually buy still you think? I'm trying to decide to still buy this refurbished for about $340ish usd, or a NEW tab s7 fe for $380 on sale right now

No, Tab S8 has 274 ppi while Tab S7+ has 266 ppi you are confusing with the fact that the S7+ has higher resolution, but the pixel density is lower, not that the difference matters in the slightest, what can matter more is oled vs lcd, except that tab s9 is oled too. I have the Tab S9 and have have the S7+, the S9 is a huge upgrade over the S7+. The S8 is debatable... better screen for the S7+ but faster processor and will get till Android 16 while S7+ stopped at 13... it's a matter of priorities...
