Your video's are so informative, Thank you. Please keep in mind that not all of your viewers are in their 20's and 30's, some of us are late to the party and looking for advice. Thanks again!!
Can you please elaborate on when would be the best time to close the Sell Put option? And how? Considering two different scenarios.. either the market price goes higher than the strike price (maybe to $10), or what if the market price goes below the strike price (maybe to $7) but not yet cross the break even price? Can we get out of that option with little profit? Thanks again!!
Very informative and easy to understand, just executed my first Put Sell with expri date next week. Been doing covered calls until seeing your video as the other Put videos are very complicated. Thank YOU!!!
Just started about a week and a half ago. Learning more and more everyday 280$ away from 2000. Which is almost 3x where I started my other 1000 is in amc😏😂I’m pretty knowledgeable when it comes to how to play an option the only thing I struggle with how to find banger plays consistently. Instead of just catching a stock blowing up early or catching a stock right after it bounces off a resistance. Any suggestions???
Very informative!!! Learn a lot from your video then others . Easy and simple . Also I think you should make a video that , how to choose the right stock for option trading. And what is the Greeks should I looking for before any movement for option trading . Thanks karson
When you say we would experience a loss, do you mean because you have to buy the 100 shares, or do you actually lose the money you had to put up for the contract or do they make you purchase the 100 shares with that money?
Very new on trading options. So, what happened to the date 11/19 on those stock? Did you wait until 11/19 or sell the put before 11/19? Curious about what had happened at the end.
Great video. I've sold a few puts in the last month and I think it's one of the best ways to make money. If I get assigned, I'll take the 100 shares and sell a call. My question is when do you collect the premium for selling the put? I cant seem to tell when they added it to my account. If the premium is $150 and your collateral is 2000, do they just take 1850 out of your cash and mark you down for a 2000 hold? I guess it doesnt matter but I would like to see it just to know it happened. Thanks
What happens say in yur example the say , u get yur credit n u want to get out of the trade, b4 expiration n going the way u want it to go ,going up what happens the mathematical? Thanks!
Love your humble attitude but also how you explain each number in detail and give real examples! Please make more videos diving deeper into options trading (the Greeks for example)! I've been binging your videos and going back multiple times to take notes :)
Thanks! Finally getting into this a bit later in life then I wanted to, but here we are. Great video. Are your parents English or Australian and you grew up in US/Canada or something? Excuse the naive American ear
I sold a put option on Monday, and it expires end of week, do I have to wait til expiration to cash it out, can I cash it out the next day? I thought I understood this until I did it.
Thank you so much for your wonderful videos! I know it takes a humongous amount of time, energy, & resources putting these videos together, but you're doing an awesome job & helping so many, like myself, understand how to trade better & make better profits. Please keep up the great work & best of wishes to you & thank you again for all your hard work & help! ❤️👍🤑
What if you pick a strike price option above the market price, because 1. You collect a higher premium and 2. You are comfortable buying at that price because it’s still lower than your average buy in price of the stock?
so if we are losing the contract for example and it says our loss was -81 does that mean that we have to buy the 100 contracts and the on top of that we lost the -81 ?
Karson is a great example why women would make a great U.S President i watch a lot of Sell Puts video she make it so short and sweet a 10 year old can understand options, Thanks for your greatness ❤👍😄
It’s incorrect to say that if the put buyer is In The Money 💰 that they will assign you to buy the 100 shares. They have the option but MAY decide to have you buy back the contract so they can keep the shares. Alternatively, the broker might close the contract for you instead if they decide there’s some risk involved for you. It’s happened to me so that’s how I know. I even had money to cover my assignment. This was with Robinhood. Other brokers are similar. You should also look into pin risk. It’s not that black and white when trading options unless you do it frequently and get into many situations from experience.
So (sell, put) means your buying shares at a certain price that you chose And (sell, call) means your selling 100 shares that you already own at certain price and date?
Just found your channel Karson and I absolutely love it! Your videos are so helpful for people like me who have some investing experience, but who are just getting into options trading. Also, go Cougars! You have a new subscriber :)
Another question. Do We always let the contract expire or is there a scenario where we sell that contract? I think I sold one because I was loosing money, but up to now I'm not sure what I did at all...lol...
So if the seller loses money, because they have to buy the stocks at the $8 amount, how does the buyer make money? is the seller buying the stocks from the buyer for the $8 ?/ I am confused at how the buyer makes money.
A natural educator. Not everyone has the ability to break things down and explain it like this.
Very informative. You speak very clearly and the pictures in the video helped a lot to understand everything. Thanks
Out of all the videos I've watched, you explained this plain and simply for me, a beginner to understand. Thank you!!!
Thanks now I understand sell put options best video in UA-cam about options.
Thank you for explaining how to sell a put on Robinhood. The way you spoke made it easy for me to digest the information.
A question: some of the premium is in red some in green what does that mean?
Your video's are so informative, Thank you. Please keep in mind that not all of your viewers are in their 20's and 30's, some of us are late to the party and looking for advice. Thanks again!!
Best selling put option video ever. Qq, do you just let the option to expire? What happens when you close it before the expiration?
I was wondering the same thing lol. Also same question for buying call options- do you just let it expire and your earnings go into your account???
I finally can understand sell put omg thank u very much
This is the most thorough explanation so far. Great Job!
Glad to see the upgrade in production quality lately. That'll pay off one day. Keep it up!
Thanks for noticing!

High quality stuff!
What if you choose the strike price above the stock price itself?
Can you change the limit price?
What happens if you buy at a strike price that’s above the current price ?
Decay and volatility affects Selling options and 45 days is the sweet spot for selling options, and you can sell Calls for a bearish bet too.
you are really good teacher...!!!!

I have the same question. Just started exploring selling puts. Did a Google search this video popped up. But no answer.
Thank you finally an explanation I can understand
What about that 100 share is that goes to the buyer or you keep owning that
To get the premium do i have to wait until my expiration day
Very clear instructions. I want to start doing the sell Puts.
Thanks Daniel

Are your parents English or Australian and you grew up in US/Canada or something? Excuse the naive American ear
Is there anyway to reduce the loss?
That premium 119 dollars u get everyday? Or when u close the option before expiration day?
Now i understand put options
Can you sell the put contract at any time and still collect the premium?
I sold a put option on Monday, and it expires end of week, do I have to wait til expiration to cash it out, can I cash it out the next day? I thought I understood this until I did it.
Are you learning about forex too? I'm learning forex in the nfc community.
This is how you teach someone without complicating things. Great job
good demonstration, but workhorse was $6.25 on Nov 19th, loss of $1.75/share or $175. So your warning that it's risky was right on target.
So to be able to sell a put your account needs a minimum of 1k to be able to sell in case it loses, its coverd?

can i hold even if it drops below $8 dollar strike?
They can’t ask you for any other money right? If we bet it will go to $5 and it did for example
Would be owing anyone anything?
Hi
Do I need to own 100 shares of a stock/etf to sell puts? What stocks/etfs would you recommend for this strategy? Thanks.
Simple and clear. Thank you!!!
You were very helpful! Thank you so much for taking the time to do this!
so if we are losing the contract for example and it says our loss was -81 does that mean that we have to buy the 100 contracts and the on top of that we lost the -81 ?
Can you close it at any time
If the company does a reverse split and the stock goes up before the contract expires, does that void the contract?
very clear explanation
Thank you
Why you choose both?
Great video lots of talent!
1k subs coming up girly!

Thanks for the nice comment Evan!
Can you suggest me some stock brokers
Thank you 🙏
Thank you very much...
You going to make a video of how to buy a put?;
I heard somewhere that a put loses value daily..? It sounded like a daily fee for having that contract? Have you heard about this?
I would look up “time decay options” to learn more about what you’re referring to. it’s a little hard to explain in a comment
thank you for making this video

Well in the case of selling put options, you can buy it back any time before expiration to close out the position.
@@KarsonGaule Thank You. It was a great video.!!!👍🏼🙏🏼
