So pumped to hear that you like the C70. I've had it since December and love it. A lot of positive with this camera from people in the know.
5:40 you can use portrait mode not only for Instagram use but also for green screen work if your subject fit property in the frame, so that you can save some pixels on either sides of the frame.

From my experience, you won't get kicked out for like a phone/gopro but you get kicked out sometimes with a dslr, even moreso if you've got a decked out rig. But then there's this weird point where if you carry something super big like an ENG camera, they leave you alone and assume it's way above their pay grade lmao

I've had the C70 for 3 months, and at first I thought it was 'ok' but nothing I got overly excited about.
But since getting the speedbooster I've really grown to like it a lot. I liked the speedbooster so much I made a video about it, and I'm still uncovering other lens / speedbooster combos that make the C70 a really flexible unit without carrying too much kit around.
The Canon C70 is such an incredible camera...Definitely the dream camera

This camera is such a beast. I imagine it’s going to be the adventure camera of choice for a lot of outdoor videographers. False color built in and the NDs are my favorite features.

One of the best camera review videos I have EVER seen.
Waiting to pick up Canon's R1 when it drops and eventually maybe the RF C200 or whatever else Canon releases or maybe the Komodo, depending on the specs of Canon's future releases. Been slowly selling off and converting all my EF lenses and bodies over to the RF ecosystem. R5's are holding me over for now on jobs.
You can attach the camera to gimbals without an adapter plate by just using the right 1/4” screw hole since it’s offset. Works great 👌👌

I agree. And considering the $2000 price difference its even more i.pressive I think. You do get some uniquely high end features on the C70 though that the A7S3 just doesn't have.

A7s3 is in a different bracket. Not saying either is better or worse, just different cameras for different applications.
@@ChrisParayno Thats a fair point. Im just so impressed with how far cameras have come in the past few years. Its an exciting time for camera tech.
It does well for the size and price but the processing and noise/NR definitely comes up short against the c70 . I have both and the a7s3 definitely is more than good enough for some things especially if you need that size or can't afford more but it leans heavily on NR that you cant disable. C70 has a better sensitivity sweet spot and much more DR in that sweet spot. The a7s3 DR signficantly deteriorates past base ISO. Super helpful; I think I finally decided to get the C70 instead of the Komodo for my go-to videographer camera, which I'll be using with the Tilta Float and RS2.

One thing I've learned about filming in the midwest is that if you look like you know what you're doing, nobody questions you.
I just got my C70 so I'm working through its quirks. So far I really like it, but I'm not totally in love with it like I wanted to be. noticeably
I do have some quibbles. The big SUPER annoying one is that when you go from S35 4K mode to S16 2K crop mode and then go back to S35 mode, it doesn't automatically pop back up to 4K. That is so F-ing annoying. The A7R3 lets you pop in and out of crop mode with a single button assignment. The other annoying one is that to get Face detection slow mo shots, you have to shoot 59.94 FPS as opposed to using S&F mode. It just makes it clunky when bouncing around modes/frame rates/S&F. Plus, there's presumably a quality hit going 59.94 FPS compared to S&F 60. I do a lot of 60 FPS stuff, so it's a bummer to lose face detection in S&F. I'd also like to have full screen waveform instead of the tiny, nearly useless size it is now. I'm used to targeting a specific IRE with a white card. Can't really do that now at that small size. Looks like I'm switching to false color as my primary exposure tool!
But overall, it's a great camera. Still waiting for the holy grail perfect camera!

Great no nonsense review - You didn't mention lack of EVF - to me this is s huge miss by Canon on a "run and gun" camera like this. I find the EVF on my C100 M2 (even with it's low resolution) invaluable shooting outside. I've shot with the Panasonic S1H and the EVF is terrific and very useful. C'mon Canon!

Man when you put the canon and sony side by side it really shows the difference in colors.
I love it. With the FX3 and A1 coming out it just means that used a7siii/EOS R will be cheaper.
