Petty criminals walk free until their day in court, and that's fine - but you miiiiiiiiiight expect stealing a vast trove of top secret classified national security materials, some of which pertain to overseas assets and operations, with a significant amount of said materials not only taken illicitly but also now being missing, location and access unknown - well, let's just say that if you or I had done so, whether in your country or here in Ireland, we'd have been turfed into prison so fast on remand to await trial in weeks or months from now that our feet wouldn't have touched the ground. Trump, however - the antithesis of a criminal mastermind - not so much. The legal system over there seems to move reluctantly slowly for elderly obese fascists.

Pretty baffling that they've settled on trying to act like the presentation of that one evidence photo showing all of the documents on the floor was the big problem. I know it's purely a public defense, and what they argue in an official capacity is very different, but they are relying on another level of stupid from the base if they think most of them have never seen a photo of seized evidence before.

You should be horrified by these revelations, but please know that some of us here did see a lot of this coming. It terrifies me to live here for a number of reasons. I’ve encouraged my 18 and 20 year old sons to immigrate if possible. Everyday I feel myself a coward for not doing something about what’s going on, I just don’t know what to do. When I left my last (retail) job, although I was in good standing (the store was closing, and letting everyone go, one by one), I went in for work, was given notice, escorted to my locker, watched while I cleaned it out, and escorted out. Although Bannon was charged, he CHOSE to take the pardon, thereby saying “Yeah, I did it, but it’s pointless to take me to trial because I have a pardon, so I’m free to go”. (A pardon is not automatic, it is an agreement by both parties.)
