Excellent thanks for this 👍🏼
Dude was planning of becoming ” the worlds first trillionaire”by redecorating Fortune 500 offices ... GG Softbank
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
He leaves with more than a billion dollars while many employees are laid off. That doesn't leave us questioning if he believed in "the power of we", it answers it.
A lot of employees were not laid off no money to do so,he was given a golden parachute no money left
Wework had a bloated valuation because of all of the investment money that was thrown at the company. One of the biggest loses for SoftBank.
The investment money was 'thrown' at the company only because they kept lying to the people, investors included! They kept on misleading them and falsifying their results; and hence over valuing their business! I mean, would you throw money at them if you knew what was really going on, had they been honest?
they would have better off starting a hamburger joint
It seems, SoftBank reeled in Saudi money, WeWork then reeled in SoftBank and all three of them tried to reel in the public (IPO) - thankfully they failed.
Bloomberg quicktake will soon compete with NETFLIX if you keep pumping out amazing content like this!
Wework is a real estate company masquerading as a tech company!!!
The landlord taking credit for the tech company tenants.
False. People don’t join WeWork looking for just an office space. They join because of the atmosphere, energy, and culture. It’s a hospitality company... the real estate is the product
@@michaelambrose And yet, at the business model level, they are just land lords.
“Community Adjusted EBITDA”
I.e: earnings without the bad stuff
Really liking this reboot of Serial!
Yes! Fascinating.
I sometimes think the unfortunate legacy of Steve Jobs is that he unwittingly led many chancers to think you can run a company on pure charisma and style. They don't understand that behind Jobs's reality distortion field were real products that were innovative and actually worked.
Everybody needs a Woz.
Ummm, he voted to oust himself because it was going to happen anyways and he could save some face while still walking away with a $1.7 *BILLION* golden parachute
Excellent!
Only Prof G and not the wealthy investors realized that this was an overvalued company? How is it possible that Scott Galloway figured out that the value the rented floors higher than the total value of the building? Stupidity? Blindness? Greed based on growth and not bottomline?
If Wework was a kibbutz, so is Club Med.
This sort of scam can be expected to work when you have an entire generation of trophy winners who believe they deserve to get rich via showing up in nicely decorated (albeit completely cramped and overpriced ) office spaces in order to play w/their friends, smoke pot, drink tequila and latte all day.
since everyone is remote working, rent-a-office, is not a bad idea for people to have a temporary space to meet up in person, considering that their old office is gone.
Why rent an office for that when you already have office buildings, or can meet at your house, or at a resturaunt?
@@PointsofData agreed. I do not understand why this isn’t obvious.
It's called 'stealing' by selling dream.
they skipped who the original investor in the company was
very important to the story
Can someone explain me why Wework is considered a tech company??....I beleive it's a real estate one.
because they have used words such as "technology", "data", etc
I guess they have an app 😂
Bloomberg is so obsessed with wework
This was awesome
But the kabbalah! Lol
The board should have controlled him.
Wait is there a video for this? That's too much sound design.
I firstly thought It was my UA-cam App's Problem.....
Its a podcast...
Knee pads don't fully protect unless they're flush against the knee and don't move, otherwise the knees will rub against the inside of the knee pad and scrape off some skin. I wear MMA gloves to hit the punching bag and if they're too big or loose, I lose a lot of skin off my knuckles. They have to be tight or I have to tape my hands.
WeWork - Just how smart is an Israeli drop out? Compared to a Japanese and American business magnates. That's the real real question that question. Imagine he didn't bottle it at the last moment he really would have done a Houdini. And that's the deal if you get in front of the right people boy can you do things and he almost did. Boy he really did.
Does anybody else feel like anytime they see a microphone on their face like his always was you’re in store for a modern day cult like talk.. I saw them all over cities for a few years but I never really took much interest.. now I’m obsessed.. this is better to me than say soap operas or real Housewives for some women..
it is interesting how narrative is based on your success or failure you may have in life. I wonder what would have been the story if We work would have been a success.
We work would have never worked, it’s a real estate company that is trying to scale as a bleeding edge technology company
They're really not even landlords, they are subletting office space already owned by others.
Is we work a tech company??
Design office space ??
Like.
So who is at fault here...Adam N. or the idiots who threw money at him?
It could have worked if he bought the land and built the buildings with specific style ..real state goes up ..at least buyings ..
Who is here after the Hulu Documentary 🖐
A real crook !
GARY NEWMAN IS COOLER.
