The Color Purple - Book Cake ...how to

This is a demo of how I made a book cake of The Color Purple. Having watched the film many years ago I've finally had the opportunity and time to read the book. It's just beautiful.
I've made a separate video for the wood effect cake board and the cake and buttercream.
I chose to make this book with well warn edges (as if it's been read several times). You can spend your time making every edge straight and smooth but honestly that's not what this was about.
Next on the list to read - Little Women.
Any recommendations much appreciated!
