I have never been there, however I imagine that this place hardly existed 30 years ago. So where did all these people come from? Are they native Namibians? Or are a lot of them from Angola? Hope Namibia manages to control its population size. If Namibia is doing relatively fine, it is also because they are few in relation to their natural resources
Thank you for watching and interesting comment too. I believe the development of the road infrastructure connecting Namibia and Angola has boosted trade between the two countries creating a conducive environment for the growth of the border town, Oshikango. However, the development of the town has been slowing down in recent years following the economic problems in both countries and the pandemic that worsened the situation. Over the years, Oshikango has become a business hub attracting people from many countries. The growth in Namibian population has also enhanced the growth of many towns in Namibia including Oshikango. I think population growth has its own benefits and challenges. If managed properly, the benefit could outweigh the challenges.
@@NamibianUA-camChannel thanks, equally. Yes. Maybe. One reads on and off, about Namibia, as well as about Botswana, that they have about the best social indicators and development indicators of all subsaharan countries. And it strikes you, that they are at the same time the least populated countries as well. It certainly stroke me, how new on average the vehicles were that I saw in your video. Very different from most subsaharan countries
@@peervossuruguayestancia5115 You have made very good observation and comparison on the volume of traffic which is infact the main purpose of my videos and my duty 😊. As you have correctly pointed out least populated countries like Namibia and Botswana are highly rated on various indicators. However, these countries were supposed to prosper much more than that given their natural resources and smaller population size. 🙏🏼
@@NamibianUA-camChannel Perfectly said!!!when it comes to natural resources.Concerning Angolans is not the problem becoz they helped namibians during dark days.
