Just heard this review after buying a Cole Clark Hybrid BLU. Having watched all the reviews available this review was by far the best. The side by side guitar comparison was very revealing. The EQ is excellent quality and really helped in evaluation. Suffice to say, the guitar performance playing is equally as good as this New Guitar. The best acoustic Pickups and now the Cole Clark Patent tailored magnetic pole adjustments is a HUGE commercial Game changer for this company. For 20 years with Patent protection , Cole Clark is going to dominate the live performance scene. This is a EPIC review of a Legendary Guitar in the making. GuitarZero2Hero should be a Promotor for Cole Clark. Thankyou for the Looping demonstration. I think this is its biggest asset performance wise.
I have played one of these and all I can say is that it was love at first strum! This is the answer to a problem that I have lived with since I first picked up a guitar. I need an awesome acoustic tone while still being able to slip into electric rhythm without holding the entire band up while I switch guitars. Perfect for the blend of folk and rock that I need to play on a Sunday morning.
Pretty impressive actually and that kind of surprises me because my first thought was a bit gimmicky. Helps when a guy that plays that well is demonstrating it and playing exactly the same thing on the two guitars clearly shows how good that guitar is. Wish more people would do that when doing comparisons (not that I could).
This is SICK. I've been watching as Cole Clark released these and been so interested in trying one. Unfortunately, Cole Clark has a very limited market in the US, so I haven't been able to get my hands on one to try out yet; but hopefully someday! I've been interested in Cole Clarks for years seeing Jack Johnson playing them, but have yet to put my hands on one. Great video as always man, and WAY cool guitar!
Dave, have you ever done a tutorial on “Solsbury Hill” by Peter Gabriel? The way you break down how to play a song properly showing chord structure and tabs is better than any other online guitars teacher I have found. I love this song and would really appreciate you creating a video on how to play it for your subscribers…
It’s a cracking guitar, I watched an artist play one live a couple of months ago and it sounded amazing. Of course, you’d need to save your pennies for this one!!
Esteban lives ! I've never had a problem with an Esteban guitar even with all the negative talk over the years . That said it's just the presentation that reminds me of the old infomercials . Good luck with your project . God Bless .
nice honest review. The best part for me is the acoustic plugged in sound. Everything else is not quite as good as either acoustic or electric, but it's the best I've heard.
The Cole Clark True Hybrid HSS guitar sound much better than the other. It somehow sound more "musical". Less "dry". Love it. By the way, you are good. Very good. Thanks for the Great video.
Great demo. I actually picked up my CC True Hybrid in October but haven’t played with it much yet. Will look forward to the opoortunity. When you showed your setup at the end of the video, that was very interesting. Thanks
Thank you for this great presentation with lots of insights, all super useful both when playing in bedroom or live! the quality of the circuitry seems really amazing. Very very tempting, would love to try it. Anyway thanks a lot and cheers from the UK
Fantastic demonstration and coverage of the Cole Clark. As to the selector switch between “acoustic/acoustic-electric/electric” I wonder if the selector would be better set as “acoustic/electric/acoustic-electric” which would bypass the sweep into acoustic-electric to get to either electric or acoustic. Man I hope that made sense.
Hey Dave . Excellent demo. Beautiful playing and perfect demonstration to give all sounds and potential of this guitar . As a result of YOUR demo, I bought the exact one you demonstrated. However, I’m having a challenge sending a line out to the board for live playing. I have actually been using my Fishman loudbox mini amp as the acoustic input, and the other Mike input for the electric input . Then sending a feed to the board. However , I don’t think this is best although it seems to work ok. Could you please tell me what that mini mixing board you showed us in your demo? Or are there any other ways to send the 2 different inputs (acoustic / electric) to the mains? Thank you Tom
@@8wheeledassassins. Haha I love that response 😂 Actually when Ibanez released the Montage I was really interested in it. I was in a band and the singer who was also a guitarist bought one and brought it to rehearsal. I thought it was really nice looking but he constantly complained about the components and the tone wasn’t really what he wanted. It sounded okay to me. Just not great. I have bought and sold nearly everything out there in the hybrid acoustic/electric world and none have lived up to the hype. The only one I would consider now is the Cole Clark True Hybrid. But it costs 3,300-4,000 range.
Not bad. There is a luthier who makes bridges for acoustic guitars which you can intonate. Piezo which you can adjust with a knob would be nice. Also another headstock for a better tuning stability. At the end it depends on the electronics-skills.
Thanks for this detailed, intelligent appraisal. I'd like to buy one of these guitars when I can afford it, but being left handed, will presumably have to order it without ever having played one. Can you play it with coated strings? I'm also interested in your looping setup and processor. Could you possibly do a video on layering guitar parts for looping?
Glad you enjoyed the video. Yes this guitar comes from the factory with coated Daddario strings. For my setup I’m using a Boss GT1000 Core for the electric output into a small mixer and then out of the mixer into my looper. For the acoustic output I go into a reverb pedal then out into the mixer. The mixer signal then is sent to my PA system. There’s plenty of other ways you could do it though. If you get the chance to try one in person that’s ideal!
Hey Guitarzero2hero I am your very old subscriber and a fan , i learned a lot from you and so I just wanna say thank-you. I also wanna request something , can you do Hollow by Seafert 😋 please please please. ❤
Wow! This guitar (perhaps as a Thinline version) combined with a HyVibe system would probably be my dream guitar, providing I could afford it 🤔🙄😬! Unfortunately, I presume reality would be against me 😟😢!
Didn't hear you address the issue of feedback. I've seen many an acoustic hacked for an electric pickup, and they all howled when the volume levels got 90db-plus.
So so impressed with the concept and result. Tho comparing to the real strat and real acoustic... meh, hype kinda goes away. I am diving deep into hybrid guitars and am at the end point of giving this topic down... not worth it. For a performer that needs one guitar only, man, I would buy it straight away.
lovely guitar, the only thing I don't like that much esthetically, is the way the bridge is vormed..seems a bit off to the rest, but it sounds amazing!! Might considder it if I had another 4000 euro "guitar money" laying around😉
Truly wonderful! I have two questions: Is the neck of the guitar narrow like that of an electric guitar or is it wider like that of a regular acoustic guitar? And are the strings soft and sensitive like those of an electric guitar or are they like those of an acoustic guitar? Thank you.
Cole Clark has done what all the other brands have attempted to do but in reality have fallen short. This instrument is a wonder of technology and my applause goes out to everyone involved in this project. Beautiful demonstration of all the capabilities that it offers 👍
What is the song you are covering at 1:06? I've had that tune stuck in my head for the last 15 years or so. The local radio stations never play that song anymore.
Can I be picky, considering the price ( over 3000?) , those white Volume , Tone & pickups, imo cheapen the look, I'd want Black or even Wood ( matching Colour) also If it has 6 sensors Piezzo, why didn't it have a 13 pin midi out? Just a few thoughts
Hola ,linda guitarra donde la puedo comprar? Además eres muy buen guitarrista, me gusta como explicas los tutoriales, gracias a ti estoy aprendiendo a tocar la guitarra
So, you have to plug it in to sound acoustic? Or for the acoustic guitar being heard enough? I dont get it,, greetings from Holland from a very intermediate player . Love your channel by the way, I am finally able to play " Here comes the Sun" , thanks to you.Sorry didnt wait until the end, now its clear to me,,, Anyways,, I just wanted to thank you for sharing your knowledge and outstanding lessons on your channel. Thank you so much.😊
The best acoustic sound comes from plugging in. But you can also play acoustically without plugging in too, but it's not really built for that. All the best and thanks for watching!
Great design! I have 2 questions: is it possible to bend strings like on a electric guitar (metal bridge)? Why didnt you install Ulbrick NRS (made in AUS) to eliminate single coil hum? I have it in my stratocaster and it works perfectly! Cheers!
Haven’t played either of those so can’t compare unfortunately! Although I don’t believe either of those have duel output options like the true hybrid, or have an electric sound as genuine as this.
There’s a truss rod adjustment just below the neck that is easily accessible. As for intonation etc its setup just an acoustic guitar would be, so thats not as easy to adjust yourself but can be done by any good guitar tech

What a great demo of this guitar. I love your simple but still musical style examples. It very effective.

Some beautiful playing and tones... great demo.... Cole Clark ought to be mighty pleased !!..:-)🎸

Awesome professional demo and awesome guitar. Tough call between this and the full acoustics with the humbuckers.

The Ibanez Montage achieved this a decade ago honestly. Ibanez is underrated for their innovation
That guitar was very much inferior to this CC.

I wonder if a larger sound box than this model can create feedback or if actually the bracing can avoid this problem even with larger guitar models.
Sad But True on this Acoustic is actually crazy. But really cool too
This guitar is amazing!!! Sweet playing on guitar.
Great Vid mate. Would love to hear the Double Humbucker option.
A dream guitar wonderful video thanks a lot😉👍
Couldn't find a price anywhere close to here (which is a bad sign), so I looked it up, and these things cost around $3500. USD.
Please, what songs are the last three riffs of the intro from? They sounded so good!!
Well done Cole Clark.
Still need some work on the electric side. For the acoustic, you are the pioneer
