This is wonderful, Just want to mention @ 15:35 there is also another spirit ash up behind this near the cliff.
Is that actually true though? Around 14:00 when you're going through the camp, wouldn't that trigger the first questline advancement? I'm not sure where the exact point is while you approach the keep because I triggered it somewhere else entirely.
@@rogthepirate4593The two points where questlines progress are in front of shadow keep, or past Bonny village on the way to the cathedral of manus meytr
That first knight isn't a guarantee shield drop. He dropped his hammer for me.
Think the drop was changed from the build the reviewers got a week before. The shield is dropped by another knight later in the Fog Rift Fort.

Finally!! Someone uses markers!! So many people throw these videos up without giving you a couple seconds to see where exactly they are on the map at any given point lol. Stuff is really hard to follow. Another reason your content keeps getting better.

1st Thing to Get: the 25 Scadutree fragments you can get without fighting any Bosses to get a Blessing level 12
Yep, that's why I'm here. 63 vigor getting tired of being 1 shot by dancing Leon's bite attack. Give me one dang mistake Miyazaki not everyone who plays your games is capable of a no hit run.
One thing to note (for those that are interested), you can break the ghost stones covering spirit springs with a shackle (either Margit's or Mohg's work).
In case you are wandering around and can't seem to find the ones to break.
Also works for invisible walls and lights in chariot rooms. But, be careful. It can reveal your location to local enemies

8:28 If you're going to grab the Swift Spear, you may as well keep going along that path (don't make a left) to the Pillar Path Cross and grab the Scadutree Fragment there. Plus Thiollier and a Site of Grace are also there.

Magma Blade and Talisman of the Dread is my go to build if a boss annoys me too much. And always #1 choice vs Tree Spirits aswell :D
That’s my favorite build right now, along with shard of Alexander.
one of the furnace giants drops a oil aura physic, litrally coats enemies in oil when in melee range giving magma blade builds nuttier damage than ever

Near the first Site of Grace in Rauh Base there's also a chest containing a talisman that is great for shield builds.
Before jumping off the cliff at 8:36, head just a bit farther SE for another scadutree fragment and site of grace.
Yep. If you go there, you can get one more level of Scadutree Blessing.
I only discovered it because I overshot the directions in this very useful video.

This is a very spicy video cant wait to follow along later. So detailed and helpful cant believe there was a shortcut around Rellana to get to that area. I miss so many Scadutree and weapons. Been using the Curse blade, I beat the armor set off that guy wasnt an easy task. Loving this DLC cant wait to get wreck by the new enemies until i figure out a strategy to beat or cheese them lololol.

Bayle the dread has to be my favourite dragon out of all the souls games lore wise and boss wise. took me 20+ attempts but I got his ass eventually, generally found it so much fun fighting him and what a feeling defeating him

Are there specifically 2 handed weapons? Or does that mean when you’re using 2 hands on any weapon?
To the right of church of crusade, their is a dead corpse of a weird creature- when you attack it, triggers an invader with good loot.

Does this effect any storylines?
Killed Dancing Lion and Rellana at level 6 Scadutree level, and I’m now annoyed I haven’t tried finding and the other levelling items, I’ve found Messmer and other end game bosses and everything on one hits me.
Thank god you do these videos otherwise I’d be essentially one hitting the DLC 😂
I went randomly exploring after the second proper boss and triggered a majour event by accident, now all the NPCs are moving around and I dear I've locked myself out of a load of quest lines! I was in a really random spot in the World too, I wasn't heading anywhere special like a Castle or Monument, I was just in a bunch of trees!
Does any of you guys know how to activate the last spiritspring (the stream of wind that lets torrent jump really high) shown in the video?
Which one are you referring to in the video and I should be able to help 😊 but all of the inactive spiritsprings can be activated by smashing the Rock nearby, and they're always REALLY nearby and usually quite obvious

At around the 12:40 mark, you run past a site of grace and miquela's cross just to the northeast. Dryleaf is there.
Edit: You grab it at 15:20, but it speeds the run up if you tag it when you go by initially. Cheers!
17:20 the pronunciation depends. It most certainly is pronounced raUh if it's based on the german word "rauh", which means "rough".
I ended up with level 9 Scadutree Blessing.

Bro I’m on the final boss this guy is absolutely insane I’m not gonna spoil who it is for others reading this but I just wanna know Dom HOW DID YOU BEAT IT💀😭. I’m using no summons, pure strength build, and the ruins greatsword and got it down to like 5% health once. This boss is so crazy😂. This dlc is the best dlc I’ve ever played
I'm on STR too. no regrets keeping off of Dex ? new weapons tempting.

I love it though man I hope Miyazaki doesn’t nerf anything in the DLC the crazy bosses and move sets kicked my ass and gave me a challenge I loved every second of this DLC

On the way to the Backhanded Blade, look east along the cliff side and you can pick up a Painting while you are there.

I didnt get the crusade insignia after defeating that invader at the church i got the prayer room key instead.
Some one else finally showed the golden bird armor.iv bean rockin it for the past 3 days
Can't say the grave bird set is entirely useless. The chest piece gives bonus to jumping attacks.
The crusade insignia did not drop for me. Does anyone know why??
Appreciate these. Want to make sure I say something since you're a "smaller" creator than some of the other Souls creators, and commenting and liking the video will help, but yeah -- I'm a part of a very small Souls community (Square Table Gaming, shameless plug even tho it's not mine, my friends) and a lot of us are like, SUPER spoiler free. For example a few of ours only watched the first trailer and then nothing else. So it's been interesting trying to navigate without spoiling myself TOO hard (for example that a certain character is back, hated that I got spoiled on that, but that wasn't you) but there are other small things I really care about. For example, dragon priestess. So I appreciate these videos not being too super heavy on spoilers.

I came into the dlc a little under leveled at 120 and did this, now it’s too easy lol. Probably have to beat a few bosses first to let the blessings catch up. The difference between the first boss when I tried before and now is like night and day. Almost every attack 1 shot me before and now I’m tanking 2 hits with a little hp left. Beat him first try after leveling up my blessings to 8… feels almost too easy now.
Edit: beat the 2nd and 3rd bosses today and they were still pretty tough, so I definitely don’t feel I was over powered.

I don’t know if this is just me, but password groups don’t appear to be working in the DLC on PS5. I’m not seeing highlighted messages or bloodstains, nor am I seeing the Shardbearer buffs. Can anyone confirm?
I can't confirm unfortunately as I mostly play on PC, but we have a bunch of PS5 players in the Discord server if you wanted to just pop in to confirm with other players.
I some how managed to start the dlc looking at everything and some how ender up way past the first boss area and was like what I collected more then 1 piece of map b4 even finding the 1st main boss
How do I get here is it after crumbling faum azula? I just reached the boss last night before having to hop off
You have to go to Mohgwyn Palace in Mohg’s boss fight room. Interact with Miquella’s cocoon
You need to have defeated Radahn (from Redmane Castle) and then defeat Mohg (in Mohgwyn's Palace), then you can enter the DLC from Mohgs boss arena 😊

FYI if you skip ahead to quickly the NPCs move around and aren't summonable for bosses. I ruined my whole storyline by over exploring
Yes you have to be careful how far you progress! If you break the great rune, that's when things change for the NPCs.

Just finished my first base game run! That was an intense journey! That said, I’m concerned about the difficulty of the dlc… Maliketh almost had me quit the game, sounds he’s a piece of cake compared to the dlc, is it really that hard?
I think people are having issues as they just don't have the right build, as I'm not a speedrunner or a 0-hit runner and I am ploughing through some of these bosses. I will be uploading my build guide tomorrow so that might help 😁

It's the Divine Bird Warrior Armour which are dropped by the enemies of the same name :)
