This is the problem. No one understands. You say go to sets and scroll down that entire scene is dim or black. It is NOT visible to turn on. Do you understand the problem? I have reset two or three times. It does not work.

Brand new out of box but can't change Display or sleep or anything. Restart did not help

I hit the brightness setting hoping to make it brighter, I can barely see the time but can't see anything when I scroll. Ugh
My fitbit3 was in sleep mode and once I turned off it is bright again. Thanks!
