This is the perfect set-up for the Mossberg Shockwave. I’ve been apprehensive about purchasing this firearm because of the difficulties with aiming. Maxing out capacity by using the shorty shells, and placing a laser on it really does make it a viable home defense, or truck gun. Great review.
I got a 20 gauge with the saddle laser grip sleeve and grip strap. Only had it a month and love to shoot it from the hip. They got a few different laser positions you can upgrade to. You can go with one like his. Or laser on the saddle and or forearm with one built in. Its a solid gun.
My first was the Remington Tac-14. I love me some short boomsticks. S Tier home/car defense option. Period. Power, maneuverability, storage/access, ease of use. And nowadays they even make em magazine-fed. It's a beautiful thing. edit: And that laser attachment...man. That's an S Tier attachment as well.
Thanks for the review...nice work...the upgrades are awesome...I will also be adding a paracord sling to my new Mossberg 590s Shockwave when it arrives...thanks again for taking the time
Had the 590s. As i used it more and more I found for me the 20 gauge made more sense. The buckshot 20 is better than shorty buck. Shorty you can fit more but for me the 20 is better and made more sense. I like the shorty slugs but nothing else shorty.
Solid pickup!! I have one coming soon, however I’m in California so we can’t get the NFA model (16” barrel) so I have the 18.5” model coming. Great explanation for the laser. I’m definitely putting one on mine. I also ordered the Surefire Racker w/ light all one unit. I subscribed 🔔
Nice set up. I picked up a 20 gauge 1 month ago. I need to upgrade the safety too. I googled that and your video popped up. Went with the saddle lazer wanted to keep the gun a little more tight for storage. I picked up the grip sleeve plus the grip strap. You may want to check out that strap from Defender Tactical. It's not so much for recoil but it helps keep your hand on that raptor grip. They got a you tube video. Thanks for leaving a link to the scabbard you have. That's just what I am looking for too.
Bro im gonna need a video on that backpack set up please dude. We def like minded. If you get a couple mins please go through the way you have you’re set up with the shotty on the side like that. Thanks 🙏
@@1playfair I actually just uploaded a video similar to what you’re asking for. Check out my bug out bag build. The only difference is, the bag you’re referring to is the 5.11 24hour bag and the bag I used for the video is the 5.11 72 hour bag. And the shotgun holster is linked in the description 💯
Wouldn't waste my money on the mini birdshot shells go with the mini buck & slugs regular 2 3/4 birdshot loads dont kick hell low recoil standard 2 3/4 buckshot & slugs are fine.
Demonstrated concepts on UA-cam is the guru of these other shotguns. Shockingly Very capable when used correctly. Make great truck guns. Personally I like soft “shotgun cards” that I can load with different types of ammo instead of a hard saddle like you have
Thx for the sweet video! Had my Shockwave "12g" since they got released and also purchase the plug and ran mini shells all day long ! No the less i also purchase a SBA3 for it before they got expensive! But see a grey area for this ? Would i need a tax stamp ? Or straight up non compliant with the length of the barrel?
Thanks homie, but that's a good question, I don't want to give you bad info so you might want to call your local sheriff office to find out. I had to once before. Most of the time they'll tell you if you're good or not. I didn't even know you could fit one on there. If you find out, do comeback and let me know. That's interesting
I plan on making this my next gun purchase, I want to get one of those black aces rail systems and possibly a different forend for it when I get one. Do a lil bit of customization.
Hi, this was a great video i new to gun owning i do have a hand gun and was looking for my first shotgun for home defense would this be a good recommendation for a first timer? I literally have the gun in my cart right now 😆...
@bizzothagreat I literally have it on a rack over my headboard in my bedroom. Idk if it's the best option for home defense but I'm definitely using it for that purpose. Makes sense to me. It checks all the boxes for me.
You should look up Demonstrated Concepts LLC here on UA-cam. He's actually created a viable way to shoot this gun from a cheek weld, which sounds kinda ridiculous but it works. Even if you're not interested in his method of shooting, the recoil strap on the grip seems like a good addition.
@borngeechee7621 I almost went with that one too actually, but I read that some people had issues with ejecting. But alot of that seemed like user error too. How do you like it?

I would recommend buying from AmmoSeek.com that's typically where I find the best deals. And I've ordered from different vendors on there about 5 times now with no issues.
@@AdventureSzn its been great so far, shot about 500 plus rounds of a mix of bird shot, buck shot and slugs. Only jamed on me two seperate time but once i broke her in shes been spitting out rounds. Ive never been hunting nor have any knowledge and expertise on it so i can say.

My 1st was the Mossberg Chainsaw; I have had it for about a dozen years; you would never know it was a Chainsaw now.
This might be my next purchase. Liking what I'm seeing.

Do the mini shells still kick hard. Maybe the 20 gauge S be good on the wrist for older ladies
I had the shockwave and sold it for the KSG... Same size but you can shoulder it and it holds more rounds.

The shockwave is NOT a shotgun. According to the ATF. But what do they know.
Right, for legal reasons. Technically it’s classified under other. According to my local gun shop. But if it’s walks and quacks like a duck then…
There's always a mr. know it all. You felt good saying the shockwave is not a shotgun huh
Maybe not on paper but literally that's what it is a sawed off legal shotgun, but to make you happy its a firearm
@@johngarza424 exactly whoever says otherwise is a fkin 🤡
What type of ammo does it house ? Asking for some friends
Are you going to add a stock or grip or both?
Nah, I think I like it the way it is for now. But I have seen some pretty sick builds on UA-cam that I may do in the future.
Selecting Mossberg is a fine decision and the add ons make it personal and comfortable. But most of all it’s reliable and fun.
👍😎🫡🇺🇸👊
A spread regardless is the dumbest most ill informed shit I ever heard lol
Indoor range video too hahahaha
🥱
You can just purchase a Mossberg shockwave stock adapter for your 590s then add an arm brace. Unless you just want to purchase a 590m. 💯✌️🫡👍
