Nice. I had a feeling that debug mode would someday be possible to activate without a Game Genie, but never envisioned anything this precise decades ago. Now if this could just be carried back to World 1...
I know I'm a bit late to reply to this comment, but I also made an RTA warp to world 1 a while back. I've also recently discovered a way to reload the title screen while skipping the part that clears ram. Unfortunately starting a new game from the title screen disables debug mode, so you would have to settle for warping to world 1 instead of using the title screen method. My warp to world 1 is one of my oldest videos, and I left it unlisted because I didn't have the hex editor on screen, but you run STY 0727, JSR 9024. and here's the link if you're interested. ua-cam.com/video/lxri2uofrPY/v-deo.html
@@100thCoin Is the combination of warping back to World 1 plus activating debug mode feasible in real time? I couldn’t derive from your link whether it activated debug mode or not. It would be somewhat ironic if it were an accidental discovery, as debug mode was for me in the 1990s.
@Cubby CubbyCat: I can confirmed it is real, and this guy even discovered the wrong warp to peach room on the Japanese version, and that his not fake neither, I try it on the Nintendo switch at it works. Even the Easier version on the NTSC version also works. Right now I only have a video on the Wrong warp to peach on the NTSC version, since the Japanese version his harder to pull of, I will eventually make a video about it.

@@DavidWonn It should be feasible RTA. The route that enables debug mode reloads 7-1, where you could then run the warp to world 1 afterwards.
This is amazing, well done.
You have just used ACE to earn a sub, gjob
Nice! You have earned a subscriber ;)
Real?
