Everyone always forgets about it, which annoys me. Would have been a perfect edition to the video as yammie could have talked about the fact that those Ducati SportClassics didn't sell very well when the came out and Ducati gave it the axe. Only until after Tron Legacy came out did people catch on and it became ridiculously sought after😑
Maybe amongst motorcycle enthusiasts but if we're talking general public here it's fair to say if you ask any non riding friends or family what bike they remember from tron it's almost always going to be the fictional light cycle.
Great list of iconic bikes used. My two favorite movie motorcycles have to be: the CR250 used by Johnny Tran in the fast and the furious and the honda XL650L used by Jean-Claude Van Damme in Hard Target. Both are amazing classics with amazing bikes used. 🤘
Surprised the Triumph 900 Scrambler from Jurassic World didn't make this list, which inspired the "You may think you're cool but you'll never be Chris Pratt riding a motorcycle with velociraptors cool" meme.
It was definitely the fatboy from T2 that made my teenage self vow to own my own cruiser bike one day. Seeing Arnold jump that thing during the iconic chase scene was mind-blowing and while I haven't yet gotten my own fatboy (not rich enough for HD) I did eventually get my own cruiser so I could live my T2 dream.
Here is one I bet a lot of you guys haven't seen. Grease 2. A dude wants to learn how to ride a motorcycle to impress a girl. He basically builds his own bike from junk parts, and proceeds to practice, and ultimately...gets the girl. At least that's how I remember it. Been a LONG time since I saw it.
Shotaro Kaneda's bike from Akira. I know, I know.......not real but definitely got me interested in cycles at a young age. I mean it had anti-lock and 200HP, what's not to love?!
I appreciate it is not something you would see in the US but the Lambetta in the 1979 movie Quadrophenia was a favourite of mine, the irony being that once I was old enough to ride I got a Triumph Bonneville.
T2 and Easy Rider are what got me. Some of my coworkers at my last job nicknamed me Ghostrider because I road my Vulcan 750 year around for 5 years like I was bound to it.
FUN FACT: When using UA-cam primarily for audio purposes when driving you can be fooled into thinking you pissed someone off if you let a Yammy Noob video play too long. You're paying attention to the busy streets maybe even got your stereo volume down for some reason and out of nowhere someone shouts "something something YOU!" ....Then you realize your video is still playing and what you heard is "KEEP WATCHING YAMMY NOOB!"
For me the bike that got me into expiring motorcycles was the Ducati from Tron Legacy. Just that quick scene in the beginning of the movie looked super cool
Kz1000s Kawasaki also there's a Kawasaki 750 2-stroke there's a few Hondas in there that was like an ad for Kawasaki definitely my favorite motorcycle movie very young Mel Gibson.
McQueen's friend, Bud Ekins, supplied the Triumphs in 'The Great Escape'. He's also the one who did the jump on film. McQueen actually made the jump once when the cameras weren't rolling. McQueen wanted to do it for the film, but the studio wouldn't let him for insurance purposes.
Watched Easy Rider when I was 16. I never got over the effect of riding a chopper. Never got to ride a chopper, but I’ve also seldom been without one motorcycle or another. Thanks for the memories.
Yes, for me it was Akira in the early 90s - and I was a junior in high school. 90s were the best time for teenagers to get into motorcycling. Japanese 4 were producing most amazing bikes (and import mod scene was booming on car world..."Fast and Furious" was a real thing back then), bikes were cheap, and low interest rates on leasing (the concept of lease to own started in this era), very low insurance, low price on gas, police were easy on us, and it was just a darn good time. Back then, beginner bikes were all 600cc class from Japanese 4.
The Honda XR 100 that John Connor rode in Terminator 2 was the bike that got me hooked on motorcycles. I was a kid, but a few years later I had my first motorcycle, a Honda XR 200.
Steve McQueen racing under an assumed name to hide from Promoters was listed in the movie “On Any Sunday” and so him riding a motorcycle for “The Great Escape” would be as easy as pie
Under uk law at the time, under 21s were limited to 33bhp for 2years from gaining licence. For my 2nd bike (test had to be on a 125) I looked at a pink and purple zzr250. Ultimately I was persuaded to get a new Gpx250 instead. No real regrets over the choice, but that bike never starred in a film
I always like the Triumph Bonneville that Richard Gere’s character rode in Officer and A Gentlemen. In the TV show Animal Kingdom, the bikes that Ben Robson’s character on rides are both pretty cool. The Ducati Hypermotord and a modified Triumph Bonneville Scrambler. 😎🤙
Keanu Reeves actually owns one of the matrix 998's Unless for whatever reason he has sold it since his bike collection video which i doubt. edit: Laurence Fishburne rode a Suzuki hayabusa in the 2003 movie biker boys. That movie was the first time i knew what a hayabusa was as a kid
Love this episode. Some of the best jokes of all your videos. Also the Ducati Sport classic 1000 that he rides in the beginning of TRON should still have made this list.
The Wraith, with my boy Charlie Sheen (what a mess), he is tooling around in a mid 1980's Honda XL-350. Pretty cool, except for the pumped in noise of the Wraith engine sound into the lil 4 stroke.
Honorable mention 2004 film Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, Fred Jones goes Jousting on 2003 Indian Spirit against The Dark Knight Ghost to the music of Bon Jovi Wanted Dead or Alive
Some that you missed, my first bike i feel in love with was the Kawasaki z1000 in Mad Max, some others are Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man, Biker Boyz, TT3d, torque and worlds fastest Indian.
My favorite is the H2 then the FatBoy. When I decide to go from performance to style it will be a Vivid Black Fatboy. Another thing, Some guy built a road worthy "Tron Legacy" Light Cycle I wish he would build Flynns white Light Cycle from the movie that I would buy. Be able to ride in the rain and not get wet and it looks so dam cool.
XR750 form Evil Knievel movie, Indian from World's Fastest Indian, Husqvarna of Malcolm Smith in on Any Sunday, Bonneville from Failure to Launch and Sportster from the Then Came Bronson pilot movie.
As mentioned: Goose's z thou, Mad Max, Wes' z thou in kinda katana plastics, Mad Max 2 Road Warrior. Sam Flynns Ducati in Tron Legacy, the motorcycle girl from Vanishing Point. Also Vanilla Ice's Gixxer 1100 from Cool as Ice. On the less real bikes side: Tron light bikes, Streethawk, the futuristc bikes from Akira, theres a girl in Violence Jack who rides an old GPX750. Onizuka's ZII influenced me to buy a Zephyr 750 to get that 70s streetbike modifed ujm vibe. Biker boys and Torque are old enough now to be considered influence for some and id say there's so many cute illustrations of ez90s and monkey bikes flying around the internet that im fully expecting ythem to have a resurgence.
The Real Number 1 is Kaneda's bike from the animated movie and manga Akira. And from the highest grossing movies : Marvel MCU bikes : Harley Softail Slim (The Avengers), Captain America's Harley Liberator. And DC : The Dark Knight Batman bike (exists in real life), all from higher grossing movie than T2 and The Matrix. Other notorious movie/series bikes : Streethawk, and the red bike from Space Adventure Cobra, Ghostrider movie custom Harley and the Vmax,
Place Beyond the Pines is a rad film actually. Some pretty sick riding and a lotta cool stuff for the dual sport homies out there! I was gonna also mention Hard Target with Van Damme and the Honda that Jon Connpr's on in Terminator 2 as well!
My fave iconic bike comes from TV not a film. It's from the Jessica Alba show Dark Angel. Her Black Kawasaki Ninja ZZR600. Loved the show and that bike.
I’m astonished you didn’t highlight the Honda NM4 as shown in the movie ghost in the shell. A real Honda Motorcycles modified with under glow and some extra plastics.
Still my favorite bike in a movie, even though I hate Harleys, is Mickey Rourke's bike in Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man. A rather stupid movie, but he rides a '91 FXR with sanded and clear coated tank and fenders and is just generally a nicely customized bike.
A Matrix Edition 2004 Ducati 998 for $12,000 now is not just a steal. it's downright grand larceny. The three that I've seen sell this year went for $29,998 (see what the winning bidder did there? lol), $16,255, and $19,000. They had 1100 miles, 9k miles and 4k miles, respectively, so no zero-mile collector queens either.
Can't forget the ducati from tron legacy, another iconic film-bike and one that really got me into motorbikes
Everyone always forgets about it, which annoys me. Would have been a perfect edition to the video as yammie could have talked about the fact that those Ducati SportClassics didn't sell very well when the came out and Ducati gave it the axe. Yees same here
The problem is that pretty much only nerds, boomers, and Gen X watched that movie.
@@Win7ermu7e lol what?
First gen Speed Triple 955i with Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible 2. Looked bad ass.
The most bad ass of them all in my opinion.
Harley Davidson and the Marlboro man had an iconic Harley that Micky Rourke continued to produce into the early 2000s. It was a very cool bike.
Goose's 1977 Kawasaki KZ1000 in the first Mad Max is an Aussie icon.
We'll see you on the road skag, we'll see you like we seen your friend the Night Rider
Eddie Brock riding a Ducati Scrambler in Venom was the catalyst that made me remember how much fun riding was and get back into it
HI Yammie , Torque movie It was overpopulated with dozens of smashing and stunning wheels from beginning to end: Honda VTR 1000 SP1, Aprilia RSV Mille, Honda CBR 954 RR, Triumph Daytona 600 TT, Triumph Daytona 955i, Yamaha YZF R6, Kawasaki 250 Ninja, Kawasaki ZX-7R, Suzuki GSXR, and Vanilla Ice from 1991 with Suzuki GSXR 1100, Honda VF 1000F and Kawasaki GPX 750, or Biker Boyz with Silver and Magenta 1999 Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R,Yellow and silver 2001 Suzuki GSX-R 750,Black 2000 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R,Red and silver,Ducati 996S,Silver 2000 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R,Orange 1998 Yamaha R1,Silver 2000 Yamaha R1
I would nominate the Lawmaster bike from Dredd (2012) - a disguised Suzuki GSXR750 with onboard computer and frikkin machine guns
Torque and biker boyz are my all time favorites. They’re the fast and furious of the bike world .
Great list of iconic bikes used. My two favorite movie motorcycles have to be: the CR250 used by Johnny Tran in the fast and the furious and the honda XL650L used by Jean-Claude Van Damme in Hard Target. Both are amazing classics with amazing bikes used. 🤘
Biker boys anyone? Or for modern movie centauro? Haha
Silver Dream Racer - Yamaha 250 GP dressed to be a 500cc bike. Gotta luv it.
Surprised the Triumph 900 Scrambler from Jurassic World didn't make this list, which inspired the "You may think you're cool but you'll never be Chris Pratt riding a motorcycle with velociraptors cool" meme.
one of my favorite movie bikes has to be the modded zx-10r used in robocop (2014) it always looked badass to me
In Mad Max 1, Goose's bike is actually a 1977 Kawa Z1000 modified with fairings by Melbourne-based La Parisienne.
Kaneda’s bike’s brake slide will be referenced for decades to come…
No vmax from ghost rider w Nic Cage? I was thinking about getting a tattoo of that one since it’s so badass
The cb750 from the original terminator is what inspired me to start looking into motorcycles.
Definitly the whole motorcycle chase and fight in Mission Impossible II
(two Triumph Sportbikes, one naked, one with fairings)
Bud Ekins jumped the fence! He also drove the mustang in ‘bullet’ along with McQueen
How many Brit youngster's did that film get into scootering . Loads.
T2 and Easy Rider are what got me. Some of my coworkers at my last job nicknamed me Ghostrider because I road my Vulcan 750 year around for 5 years like I was bound to it.
The Billy bike looks like it might be comfortable to cruise on.
Ghost riders newest ride is the best one. The one and only yamaha VMAX.
@@theenzoferrari458 Rode a buddy's 2012. The boost kick that thing had was incredible.
The Honda CBR Repsol that House drives in House M.D is my future dream bike :) Add that to the Triumph Scrambler that is used in No Time to Die.
FUN FACT: When using UA-cam primarily for audio purposes when driving you can be fooled into thinking you pissed someone off if you let a Yammy Noob video play too long.

You forget the MT09 chaise scene in John Wick 2 - an awesome bit of stuntage - lol
It may not be the most famous but Darryl Dixon’s post apocalyptic nighthawk 750 is the coolest imo
About to say the same
Walking Dead was a tv show, not a movie. And the first two seasons, Daryl rode a vintage Triumph.
I am aware it’s a television show, over all eleven seasons Darryl has 3 different motorcycles, the nighthawk being my favorite
Smoke’a Hayabusa in Biker BoyZ is like Brian’s 2JZ Supra from the OG Fast and the Furious
Honestly have no clue what they were to start with, but the bikes in the Mad Max movies were always awesome in my opinion.
Kz1000s Kawasaki also there's a Kawasaki 750 2-stroke there's a few Hondas in there that was like an ad for Kawasaki definitely my favorite motorcycle movie very young Mel Gibson.
I agree , it was a lot better than have of the movies noob picked
McQueen's friend, Bud Ekins, supplied the Triumphs in 'The Great Escape'. He's also the one who did the jump on film. McQueen actually made the jump once when the cameras weren't rolling. McQueen wanted to do it for the film, but the studio wouldn't let him for insurance purposes.
Greatest motorcycle movie of all time . . . Grease 2!!! T-Birds 4 LIFE!!!
Can’t forget about the movie torque . That did it for me .
Watched Easy Rider when I was 16. I never got over the effect of riding a chopper. Never got to ride a chopper, but I’ve also seldom been without one motorcycle or another. Thanks for the memories.
What about biker boys. That movie had more hyabusa’s than a Suzuki factory! Morgan Freeman’s turbo nitros bike was the bomb!
The mv agusta f4-spr 750 in iRobot did it for me. Also there was a red mv agusta f4 in The Dark Knight
Speed Triple and Daytona in Mission Impossible 2 for sure.
The Ninja from True Lies always made me want one as a kid.

The movie "Fled" featured a pair of Ducati 916s speeding down the highway. Made me want to start riding for sure.
Steve McQueen racing under an assumed name to hide from Promoters was listed in the movie “On Any Sunday” and so him riding a motorcycle for “The Great Escape” would be as easy as pie
SO MANY BIKES THAT WERE MISSED!!!! Billy Jack series, the bike from Grease 2, the one from Vanishing point! Just to name a couple
Cartoons helped me fall in love with motorcycles. The main cartoon was Biker Mice from Mars
IMAGINE not including Smoke's Busa from Biker Boyz I mean come ON.

"It's not a motorcycle baby.... It's a chopper'....Really?, you left that out?
Pulp fiction is legendary
Ducati Sport Classic 1000 from Tron: Legacy. That scene is a pure motorcycle commercial.

Mustn’t forget the Street Triple Angelina Jolie rode in Salt. Maybe not an iconic scene but it made my heart flutter!
I would like to add the Harley Davidson XR 750 that was used in the Evel Knievel movie. He also used it in several jumps in the 70’s.
The Wraith, with my boy Charlie Sheen (what a mess), he is tooling around in a mid 1980's Honda XL-350. Pretty cool, except for the pumped in noise of the Wraith engine sound into the lil 4 stroke.

Great video. One of my favorite B rated motorcycle movies is Little Fauss and Big Halsy with Robert Redford and Michael J. Pollard.
Some that you missed, my first bike i feel in love with was the Kawasaki z1000 in Mad Max, some others are Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man, Biker Boyz, TT3d, torque and worlds fastest Indian.
Ducati scrambler from Venom. Eddie Brock gets wild on the streets!!
In my opinion, the scene where Keanu Reeves rides a Yamaha MT 09 in a chase scene from John Wick 3 should have been there.
I agree. My current bike is the 2019 Yamaha MT 09, which I fell in love with after watching John Wick 3 and bought in 2021.
@@robertherrick3030 I’m jealous man 😅

What an awesome idea for a video, cant wait to watch this!!
I thought the 2 bikes from mission impossible 2 would make the list. Especially since one was a triumph but these are pretty good too
Cougans Bluff. Clint rides a Triumph around NYU. Also a Super 90 in Pretty Poison, and a CL90 in Mars Attacks.
James Bond tomorrow never dies - a BMW R1200c

Still my favorite bike in a movie, even though I hate Harleys, is Mickey Rourke's bike in Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man. A rather stupid movie, but he rides a '91 FXR with sanded and clear coated tank and fenders and is just generally a nicely customized bike.
How could you ignore the Triumph Speed Triple used in Mission Impossible II? The fight scene where the bikes are the weapons is worth it.
The 2 bikes that made me want to ride were the bobber in Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man and the ducati monster in the crow: city of angels
I love this guy"s humor!
I would definitely say it was first blood to get me into bike, then torque being cheesy as it is but the bike were awesome
The cafe racer from The Batman is sick too
The Counselor by Ridly Scott, Yamaha R1, great criminal drama movie
1983, Honda XR 500 in Street Hawk
Harley-Davidson and the Marlboro Man bike should be on the list
Yammie Noob... It would be the Divine and Legendary Hayabusa in the 2004 Indian movie, 'Dhoom' that brought the wave of Superbikes in India, per say.
Can't forget the black Speed Triple, roughly 2002, in Mission Impossible 1.
