This opening gave me goosebumps, not did they just add more into this, they changed the vibe towards the end adding more hype than I’ve ever seen in a theme
I think its cuz they are finally winning against the dead and now they just gotta finish the fight w commewealth and then they officially won hence the blood instead of the usual burning and roots.
Gonna be honest, I was not expecting them to add Angel Theory to the opening credits! Let alone put her above Paola Lazaro. I was also not expecting Lauren Ridloff to be put over Caliey Fleming and Nadia Hilker as well.
Love this theme. The graphics send chills up my spine. First death, crows, carrion a dead tree then suddenly life invades - just as powerful. It mirrors the evolution of the show early on it was all about the dead then later on it became more about the living with the zombies as just secondary plot elements.
And for all you music lovers, did you know they recorded a live orchestra dramatic version of this for the final episode ever? We get to hear it in just a few days

When I watched the episode I realized that the Intro had added more scenes and a little more of the theme that we had never seen. I was quite surprised and happy about it, as for the first time the intro of TWD has all the main and relevant cast names.
I watched episode 17 and 18 and realized the letters in the intro are becoming bloody. In episode 17 the g and it episode 18 the d. Just a small detail I thought was interesting.
