Sometimes when you have been good to someone and instead of receiving the same inturn, the other person betrays you. Then you might think that karma is not right, but then if we care to check carefully we will realize that something good has come out of it. In the end you are still rewarded for your good intentions ( you will find that you are better off without that person)and also the other person has lost the benefit of any further favours from you. So the karma may not work exactly in the way we would expect it to, like an eye for an eye.

@@maneeshavarghese8476 I apologize for my poor English, but I was trying to explain that sometimes karma can work indirectly, subtly, that we may not be able to discern immediately, but only on deep reflection we can find that karma is actually taking place.
I build my life with so much effort and it keeps falling apart again and again. I don't think, speak or act in bad faith most of the time. Can you explain using logic other than previous birth?

Problem is, they don't though. Most of the time, they live all happy and get everything they want, not caring at all about the damage they caused, and what they have taken from others.
@@HereIAm247I have observed that too. You’re not wrong. Our problem is the perspective of “Time”. Most of us don’t live long enough to see the consequences of our thoughts and actions. If we do see the consequences, we may realise our regrets in life or the opposite of that, joy and satisfaction. So, don’t give up with these seemingly ‘carefree’ or ‘careless’ people. Sometimes their internal sufferings are not obvious to anyone but themselves, outwardly nothing seems to have affected them. It’s a different story inwardly. Mother Teresa said, keep doing good, even if it hurts! Something will happen as Buddha said.

Yes, this makes sense. However, evil exists in the world and though one may not wish evil on another, when one sees evil being done, whether toward oneself or others, yes prayer for wisdom is required, but sometimes one must assert oneself and not tolerate evil. It really has nothing to do with revenge but rather to allow another to harm one or another, IMO, is not right either.
So subtle a force is evil that it can MASQUERADE as the ultimate good.

@@siddharthiyer4473 Good point, however, I am not quite sure how that could work. Let's face it, it is not something we would delight, we do so because it is in our face. We hate doing it. On the other hand, if "I" don't stand up and evil comes at me with all "full force", with dire consequences, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, I see no alternative but to push back and hard. I would not know how to determine if it is hated, revenge, justification or simply every cause has an effect. We see this all around us IF we are paying attention. Evil's own weight falls on itself, eventually, however, there is a force that is going to step and step hard on it, so it does not raise its head again. Is that hate, revenge or good has bigger "balls" to get the job done?

Dr. Caroline Leaf is a neuroscientist. One of her lessons is about negativity in the brain. It’s been years since I read this, but I believe I still have the just of it. She said, negativity is stored in a portion of about 5% of our brain. If we choose negativity, it’s bc we keep returning to the little affected area of our brain. We have the option instead to utilize the other healthy 95%.
If other peoples negative thoughts infect me then how can I control my thoughts? Karma is really just a refutation of free agency.
We are the wonderful creation of God so don't demean yourself with bad karmas ❤🙂

A woman has to go through periods every month, egg and sperm has to find each other carry the baby for 9 months go though labour and you believe god created you? God seems to put moms though a lot during this creation.

We all have done wrong and offended God and others in countless ways ..we deserve punishment from God for our bad karma's...God showed mercy to the undeserving like us by showing forgiveness to those who believe in Jesus Christ. Jesus died on the cross to pay for our Sins (offenses against God) so we can have eternal life. u just hv to believe, repent and receive His Grace. Repent means to turn from your sins and trust in His words and follow Him...Mercy is God

For years, from childhood to adulthood, I never had a bad, negative thought towards others and especially those who humiliated/abused me, nor did I take revenge on any of them. Yet, I observe that they have all risen in life, doing well.

To me... and My limited understanding.... Karma is simple. You do good and be kind... goodness and kindness is returned! And it's effortless. So...we don't consider the bad. I feel more than thoughts your actions affect your Karma..nowadays different thoughts can come from watching newspaper,television,crime series,movies so we cannot blame what a person is thinking but to speak of those thoughts especially of criminal nature can definitely affect your karma but simply thinking of something because it happened around you or you saw it somewhere on the digital media doesn’t affect your KARMA

I never try to harm anyone intentionally but I do resent some for things people did to me and I have never forgotten how it made me feel, so it does matter what you say to people.
What if your having bad thoughts about a person who deserves those bad thoughts? 🤔 Like a criminal or something like that. Will that also have an impact on my karma?

I wish that this was true. I have so often tried to do good in the world and have given openly and heartily and have been manipulated, taken advantage of and betrayed in return. So my goodness and intent had not resulted in goodness to me.
Karma is not a teaching of Buddha, it is mentioned in Jain and Hindu dharma, Buddha's sermons about karma are something that existed in the society at that time. A way out of it is the budda vision
But Karma is not that instantaneous It follows and haunts you over life after life. Both good and bad karma are impediments to liberation of the Soul. This is what the Hindu scriptures say. You have to work out all your karma. So it is advised that surrender all your actions and fruits of action to the Lord as and when you do it or at the end of the day. It is like a bank account where you need to deposit all your earnings on a daily basis and not to keep any cash on hand. And at the end of the day that is this life you are liberated. But if you keep even a little cash in hand, you have to come back to enjoy it.
A very nice story, however thoughts don't come with permission and can be instantaneous.
What's more important is to nurture the good ones for yourself as well as for other people. Being aware of your mind is necessary and that will help in consciously cultivating positive thoughts and ignoring negative ones.
