Why we use cooling from bottom side of jacket and steam upper side of jacket plz answer
Dear cooling water due to more retention time bottom.Steam top as it condenses and block the path.

Dear Chris We prefer Anchor type for best heat transfer.It also depends upon reaction type that we are handling.
@@ChemicalMahi I'm chilling methanol in a large jacketed vessel to -20 degrees how can get to temp faster impeller wise. Is Anchor still the best for a low viscosity fluid like methanol?
Dear U can go for Pitch blade type agitator with 45 degree blade angles.
