One Hot Minute is sooooo underrated, it’s an incredible album. You should check out ‘Transcending’, it’s probably the closest RHCP have got to prog rock and Anthony actually screams in it. Yes, you read that right. He SCREAMS. Absolute belter of a song
This is one of the most hated albums by RHCP. They have been my favorite since I was 6yo(I’m now 36) and I think this album is AWESOME! Also it’s Dave Navarro on guitar
Oh yeah, and this is Dave Navarro on guitar. He recorded one album with them after John quit following the overwhelming success of Blood Sugar Sex Magik
I still enjoy this album, as I'm a Chili's and Janes Addiction fan. So, it's hard to dislike. I personally prefer the Chili's with John, but this album is great, nevertheless. This album definitely resonates better with rock purists, than the albums after it.
Excellent video as alway good sir. This album and song is truly a hidden gem. Very dark and twisted compared to their other albums. I highly recommend a full listen of this album from beginning to end. Also the guitarist on this album is actually Dave Navarro
This reaction inspired me to play the whole album in my car on the way home from work tonight, what a blast!...been a long time did not hear this album, one of their strongest album
loving all your RHCP reactions. I hope your fans keep asking for more obscure chili songs in the future, you are the only person reacting to this awesome music. Someone please recommend 'transcending' so David can hear Anthonys screaming end vocals!!
One of their not so popular albums. Although, it's not a bad album at all. People were torn and jaded because John had just left for the first time. Dave Navarro stepped up to keep them going on the recent wave of fortune Blood Sugar album created and for whatever reason. There are some amazing songs on this album! ❤️
Once you realize that it's Dave Navarro on guitar (which a million people have told you), you can really hear the Jane's Addiction influence throughout the song, and especially in the mid-song breakdown. This whole album has that darker tone, and not quite as funky as the Peppers usually are.
I don't see that one in the que, so it would have to be a fresh request. Not gonna lie, it's taken me a while to warm up to Warped and I don't know why. I like the song and remember seeing it and loving it on MTV as a teenager, but lately it annoyed me. Ugh lol
@@benjamindavis4974 everything post one hot minute is shitty pop music for the masses. Band sucked once they got clean, it’s ok some bands are just better on drugs. The latest single is laughably bad
I need a full review of this album too!❤️ Especially, Slow Cheetah. I've not heard a review of that and I have a personal attachment to it. My daughter plays out on guitar and did it for my dad's memorial. ❤️
This song and the whole album is criminally underrated to me and in my top ten of all time. Dave Navarro is a maestro how would I describe this album, heavy, in fact the hardest chili peppers album. I wish they would they would they experiment with this style more but unfortunately those days are long gone. I like how you played the song by ear during the video. That’s true talent my man. Keep up the good work.
I love metal so naturally I enjoy heavy guitars. Mother's Milk and One Hot Minute were RHCP at their heaviest, so I love em both. I still think BSSM and By The Way are their best, most solid albums but OHM and MM are top tier too. Unlimited Love (their newest) is getting up there too EDIT: Wow I just realised you've 40 videos on RHCP! Time to binge watch
Coffee Shop is an excellent track on this album; you also have Tearjerker which is a tribute to Kurt Cobain (if I’m not mistaken). Let’s Make Evil is another great track on here
You want raspy Anthony... Nothing to Lose is insanely raspy. Listen to that song. I legit thought I was hearing a different band. You don't have to do an official review obviously, but seriously. It's entirely improvised... Lyrics and all! ❤️ua-cam.com/video/0EzWmAPwoTs/v-deo.html
Nothing to Lose was the last song they did for a New Year's Eve concert and it sounds like Anthony's voice was done for the night. But it worked. The whole vibe of the song works. Plus, the improve makes it even more interesting. It's very raw.
It’s not John. It’s actually Dave Navarro of Jane’s Addiction. Kind of hilarious that you think John wrote it considering he’s never once listened to the album and stated that he never will.
if you liked this one, I'm sure you'll love "trascending" from the same abum, that song is SO epic, especially the outro. ua-cam.com/video/oyZ_-O3YVEY/v-deo.html

Yus peak era chili's with best guitarist, best album. Now to listen and see what you think 🤣 It's Dave on guitar not john , this is when flea was playing bass with Janes addiction aswell. If you liked this you are in for a treat with rest of this album, hopefully more tracks from it are in the queue. Dave Navarros influence is heavily felt on this album as is his and Anthony's heroin addictions unfortunately but man it's such a good album.
And if you want to be surprised by a band you never knew kicked ass, "Tired of Sex" by Weezer, opening track to Pinkerton from 1996, could almost have been on VS or In Utero. :D Pinkerton is full of grunge bangers, I get nothing out of Weezer on any other album. I guess it didn't sell well...

It's there best album
I did it too
I cold heartily agree with this statement. Nothing else to add.. yup
That song is THE song
I thought this album mostly sucked. It had three or four good songs but had a lot of filler. Especially the flea songs.
The most underrated song of the rhcp and that I listened to all the albums since the 90s
Dave Navarro from Jane's addiction plays guitar on this album

It does resonate pretty well on it's own.

The opening soft riff sounds like something off a Gorillaz song, transition caught me off guard like Warped did!
