Just a tip I got from another youtuber - It’s better to get the cheapest caravan because they have lesser troops but faster movement speed which is what they need to avoid battles.
Pro tip for smithing, you can use tab and escape to navigate towns and u can use spacebar while smithing instead of clicking. Its simple but blew my mind and was a game changer for me. I just wish you could navigate party members smithing with keystrokes as well you can get really fast with it.
I never have to worry about any of the bandit type troops as long as I used the asarai noble troops that come as instant cavalry but I love your video this is just incase anyone sees this I only ever keep 25 of them at any time and only pay around 135 upkeep
Hi man. Very entertaining video. I have a question. Music you are using. Is this soundtrack from Elder Scrolls: Arena? If not then its very similar melody. Love it.

When I was a child dungeon crawlers like Arena, Dagerfall or Ultima Underworld 2 was basically main games that I played and I consider soundtracks of those games to be one of the best game industry music ever made.On par with System Shock, UFO: Enemy unknown and Final Fantasy VII.
I would avoid paying the extra for troops, when the caravan loses troops they take regular troops from fiefs so your just paying for extra insurance is all. As for trading, I would only do dark green as light green means very little profit and trade xp

I'm not going to use them anymore, someone else also pointed out the regular ones are a lot faster and able to outrun enemy groups so im just gonna stick to the regular troops! And regarding your trade tip, mind is blown. I l've been under the assumption that the Light green were actually better deals 🤯. Thanks!

Trading should be used only as a stable way to sustain your army and armour yourself before you get any fiefs.
